Feed thy
people with thy Rod
Micah 7 : 14

Every Present Truth believer would have unavoidably known, that the Rod mentioned above is none other than the Shepherd’s Rod message, which was prophesied long before in Micah 6 : 9 as follows : “The Lord’s voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name : hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.“ — Micah 6 : 9.

Due to the fact that we are now on the second Exodus journey back to the land of Canaan that the Lord had ever promised to the ancestors of the Israelite, and since the promised land is not in heaven but in the Palestine, it should always be remembered that the Davidic Kingdom should have been established soon in the Palestine with all of us 144.000 in number as the first citizens of the state.

The Rod as a message must be heard if all the prophecies of the Old Testament prophets would have been interpreted and revealed in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY in this time of the end.

Micah 7 : 14 we read  :

“Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel : let them feed in Bashan and Gilead as in the days of old.” – Micah 7 : 14.

Due to the fact that this prophecy has been fulfilled by the coming of prophet Victor T. Houteff with his Shepherd’s Rod message, then after the establishment of Davidian Seventh-day Adventist Headquarters in 1935 as the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, USA, then the “Mount Carmel” of the Old Testament days should have been obviously fulfilled in Waco, Texas, USA. as its antitypical.

And now we again have “Bashan and Gilead” as types that should be sought their antitypes in this time of the end. Since both must also be fed with the rod, then they should have unavoidably represent the small branches of the Mount Carmel in Waco, Texas, USA, who are now scattered throughout the Davidian of this world.

Read thoroughly Micah 7 : 14, then it will be understood  that the “t h y“ commanded in that verse to feed the flock of those who live solitarily in the wood, in the middle of Carmel, is none other than the prophet Victor T. Houteff himself. He was commanded to lay the foundation of the house on the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, USA from 1935 up to the time he died in 1955. And then the Carmel should have been abandoned to be continued in Bashan and Gilead. And here the work of feeding the people will be done under the reigning hand of the Lord Himself.

The same historical Events
in the light of several different prophecies

Since the existence of prophet Houteff at his Mount Carmel Center was only until 1955, his duty to feed the flock of his heritage would be the same as to lay  the foundation of the house by the hands of Zerubbabel prophesied in Zechariah 4 : 9. Zerubbabel, therefore, as it is known to symbolize the prophet Victor T. Houteff.

Thus, after prophet Houteff died as a shepherd in charge of feeding the flock of his heritage, as well as in charge of laying the foundation of the house according to Zechariah 4 : 9, then according to the prophecy of Zechariah 13 : 7, too, God will have His hand lifted up on “the little ones”. Who are the little ones if not those who  are  prophesied  to  be  in “B a s h a n  and  in  G i l e – a d?”  Are they not in need to be fed too ?

After the servant of God accomplished his task of laying the foundation of the house in 1955, he should have died in the same year too. The Mount Carmel Center of the Lord should have been abandoned for good, while the “little ones” in “B a s h a n  and  in G i l e a d” have yet to be fed accordingly as foretold above. Here is fulfilled the prophecy of Zechariah 13 : 6 which said : “Kill the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.” — Zechariah 13 : 7.

Ever since the same year in 1955 and onward the Lord God should have turned His hand upon  those of “the little ones.” That is, the Lord God should have taken the reign in His own hand to feed the flock Himself without the aid of His Organization of the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, USA. And here began those in “Bashan and Gilead” to be fed directly by the Lord through His appointed agencies such as “t e a c h e r s“ whose ordination are no more by the laying on of hand in front of their congregations. And here is fulfilled the word when Sister White said :

“Let me tell you that the Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning. There will be those among us who will always want to control the work of God, to dictate even what movements shall be made when the work goes forward under the direction of the angel who joins the third angel in the message to be given to the world. God will use ways and means by which it will be seen that He is taking the reins in His own hands. The workers will be surprised by the simple means that He will use to bring about and perfect His work of righteousness.” – Testimonies To Ministers, p. 300.

The angel of Revelation 18 : 1 is the message of the Shepherd’s Rod. Combination of both angels (the third angel message by Mrs. White and the angel of Revelation 18 : 1 by Bro. Houteff) in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY of Revelation 19 : 10 is to enlighten the earth – Early Writings, p. 277.

The Lord is now working
in a very different way

If during the life time of Mrs. White, even  up to the life time of Bro. Victor T. Houteff the Lord God still took advantage of the service of Organization of a central government body which seemed that all were well under control, in all around the world. But after the death of the servant of the Lord Bro. Victor T. Houteff in 1955, God would have preferred to take control of all the work of the Mount Carmel Center in Texas Himself. And this is to be realized when those mentioned by Mrs. White in her book : Testimonies to Ministers, p. 300 above should have been fulfilled. 

And then to those who still persist to have the liquidated Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, to continue its function as ever before, came the warning from the Lord as follows : 

“It is a fatal mistake to suppose that the work of soul saving depends alone upon the ministry…………. God will send forth into His vineyard many who have not been dedicated to the ministry by the laying on of hands.” – The Acts of the Apostles, p. 110.

“Let them understand that there is a large work to be done outside the p u l – p i t  by thousands of consecrated lay members.” – Ibid, p. 111.

The above statements from Mrs. White seemed to be just fulfilled after the death of Bro. Houteff in 1955.  How could this be factually justified ? 

Since the ordination of those to the ministry of the gospel is no more by the laying on of hands, it must unavoidably prove that they are no longer having a centralized Organization. They must be God’s own appointed ministry from among those now scattered in many places in the world, in the antitypical “Bashan and Gilead.” And this is also to prove that the Lord God ever since the death of His servant Bro. Houteff in 1955, would have taken the reign on His people in His own hand. Strictly speaking, the Lord would no more work through His ever antitypical Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, USA., because their turn to get His servant Bro. Houteff feeding them right there has expired. Now is the time for “the little ones” in the antitypical “Bashan and Gilead” to be fed up to the time of their deliverance to the kingdom in the Palestine.

C o n c l u s i o n

“Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel : let them feed in Bashan and Gilead as in the days of old.” – Micah 7 : 14.

The Mount Carmel Center built by Bro. Houteff in 1935 was literally in the middle of a forest, far from the city of Waco in Texas, in USA.  Brother Houteff as servant of the Lord named it : the wood in  the  middle  of Carmel.  So  C a r m e l  as a location in Waco, Texas, USA must be the antitypical of its type in the days of the Old Testament  Israelite. Thus  is  even  so  with B a – s h a n and G I l e a d, that these two locations must unavoidably have their antitypical  in this time of the end. Thus, Bashan and Gilead must unavoidably have their antitypical in all the Associations of Davidian SDA who survived the death of the servant of the Lord, Bro Houteff in 1955.
