Jewish Priests’ Fundamentalism versus Liberal-minded Fundamentalism

“We must be alert, too, to realize that the blow is to come from surprisingly unsuspected foes — from professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the priests in Christ’s day.”

In the eyes of the honest observers there are indeed two views held by the Present Truth believers of Davidian Seventh-day Adventists in the world, namely the view of the Jewish priests fundamentalism and the view of liberal-minded fundamentalism. These are the views upon which the Davidian Seventh-day Adventist leaders have based their methods of teaching the message of the Shepherd’s Rod to the people.

Most of our people are of the view of liberal-minded fundamentalism, and that is the reason why we are always feeling free to get the message interpreted freely into our midst, as long as they are fully in accord with the light of the Rod. Since we are dealing with the law of the Kingdom of God, we find it more needful to get the law scientific methods of interpretation be applied into the teaching of the message, because the servants of the Lord have themselves applied the methods. There are several methods of interpretations applied in the message, among others: the historical method of interpretation, the systematical method of interpretation, the grammatical method of interpretation, and the contraries method of interpretation. They are some of the methods of interpretation popularly known in the domain of the law science. Since the Bible and the sciences go hand in hand, that the servant of the Lord said:

“God wants the teachers in our schools to be efficient. If they are advanced in spiritual understanding, they will feel that it is important that they should not be deficient in the knowledge of the sciences. Piety and a religious experience lie at the very foundation of true education. But let none feel that having an earnest in religious matters is all that is essential in order to become educators. While they need no less of piety, they also need a thorough knowledge of the sciences. This will make them not only good, practical Christians, but will enable them to educate the youth, and at the same time they will have heavenly wisdom to lead them to the fountain of living waters.”—The Leviticus of DSDA, p. 56, par. 2.

The view of the Jewish priests fundamentalism seems very awkward, because it leads to many negative acts of extremism. Most of our people are certainly not familiar with such view of fundamentalism. In religious matters the Jewish priests fundamentalists are often of the view to have the message of the Shepherd’s Rod be taught to the people with as few as possible amount of their own words, to enable the message explaining itself to the people. They think by restricting the use of their own words, the purity of the message as the word of God could be more effectively preserved.

Which one of those two views of isms is right and acceptable to the Lord, they must be observed to their fruits. Those who are not favored of God are usually not under the guidance of His Spirit. We must be very careful to deal with them, because they are indeed very hypocritical, ‘with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.’ In fact they are not merely the ordinary laymen, because they have the capacity to prophesy (in the sense of teaching all the prophecies of the Bible through the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY in the golden bowl of Zechariah 4). They, in fact are the Davidian SDA leaders themselves of the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, USA. In this regards Bro. Houteff gave the following warnings to enable us to identify them as follows :

Be Doers of the Word

Our thought for prayer is found in “The Mount of Blessing,” p. 209 —

“Not all who profess His name and wear His badge are Christ’s. Many who have taught in My name, said Jesus, will be found wanting at last. ‘Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name ? And in Thy name have cast out devils ? And in Thy name done many wonderful works ? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

“There are persons who believe that they are right, when they are wrong. While claiming Christ as their Lord, and professedly doing great works in His name, they are workers of iniquity. ‘With their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their covetousness.’ He who declares God’s Word is to them ‘as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument; for they hear Thy words; but they do them not.’”

The people here described like to hear God’s Word, but that is as far as they go. I hope there are none here only listen, but to do something about it. Only the doers of the Word are justified. Let us kneel and earnestly pray that God will help us not to be mere professors of the Truth, but actual doers of it.”— Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 44, p. 2

The author of the book “The Mount of Blessing” is Sister White. She is the prophet emerged in the Laodicean period, and she is to edify the body of Christ, to edify the moral character of Seventh-Day Adventists with her message of the Spirit of Prophecy. Since Bro. Houteff as the last prophet of the time of the end, had quoted those statements of Ellen G. White to be a part of his Shepherd’s Rod message, it is now clear that those statements are more specifically addressed to the Present Truth believers of Davidian Seventh-day Adventists.

Since due to the fact that only the Davidian leaders (the wheat) have the capacity to prophesy (to teach all the prophecies of the Bible in the light of the Rod), and the fact that the angel of Laodicea and his followers (the tares) would have refused to receive the message, it would be crystal clear that there would be some persons from among the Davidian leadership now proclaiming the message from the Mount Carmel Center, who would be found wanting at last. What is wrong with their teachings ? They have prophesied in the name of the Lord Jesus, they have performed many wonderful things in His name, but to the fact they are not led by His Spirit of truth. Now for the long run they would always think that they are right up to the time when at last they would have found themselves astray on the side of the Devil. These are they who are to be symbolized by the “c h a f f.“ The servant of the Lord said :

“First the sickle is put to the grain, and next the grain is bound into sheaves, then threshed, after which it is put into the barn; and thereafter the chaff and the tares are destroyed.” – The Judgment and the Harvest, p. 65.

“All that are found members of the church a t the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 will either receive the seal and be of the 144.000, or else be left without and fall under the slaughter weapon of the five men.” – The Symbolic Code Series, vol. 2, no. 5, 6, p. 8.

Those who are yet alive at the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, would consist of three groups of people: the 144.000 on the one side and those symbolized by chaff and the tares on the other side.

The chaff and the tares are to be destroyed because they have been implicated in the sin against the Holy Spirit. This is the unpardonable sin, because the victims will never be willing to be convinced of their sin that they never repent up to the time of the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. The tares sin because they refuse to receive the new light of the angel of Revelation 18 : 1. Whereas the chaff have been committed in the sin of those acts stipulated in Revelation 22 : 18, 19. This is the kind of sin committed by those of the wise virgins or the wheat, because in their mouth is found “g u i l e“ of Revelation 14 : 5. And that is why they are to be categorized as “c h a f f“.

How to identify those acts

of adding something into or subtracting

something from the message of the ROD !

The apostle Paul said : “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ : till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ : that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”— Ephesians 4 : 11 – 14.

The apostles had died ahead of the prophets in the first century. Even Ellen G. White and Victor. T. Houteff are no more alive now. But the task of perfecting the saints for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, still exists upon the shoulders of those evangelists, pastors and teachers. However, we have been warned of the Lord :

“What is the work of the minister of the gospel ? It is to rightly d i v i d e the word of truth (THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY of the golden bowl), not to invent a new Gospel, but to rightly d i v i d e the Gospel already committed to them (THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY).” – Review & Herald, Sept. 11, 1888. The evangelists, pastors and teachers, were also given the privilege to divide the message of the Rod freely according to the capacity of their heart, with the aid of related sciences and the historical facts , and also to follow all the law scientific methods of interpretations, as ever were applied by the prophets themselves in providing the message for us. So the pastors according to their ability must be free to write, to teach, and to preach, to use all kinds of means available, to let the message be fully understood by the people. The only exception is :

“Saith the Lord, every w o r d of God is pure …. Add thou not unto His w o r d s, lest He reprove thee and thou be found a liar.” – Christ Object Lessons, p. 41.

What does this mean ? Is this a literal meaning that we have to use as few as possible amount of our own words to teach the Shepherd’s Rod message, to let the message explain itself to the people ? No, of course !

His w o r d s are found in the Gospel already committed to us, which is the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY of the golden bowl of Zechariah 4. We are not allowed to add any private new gospel of our own into the message. We are not allowed to add whatever words or ideas of our own into the message that is not found in the light of the Rod, such as the ideas of some of the leaders, that the location of the prophetic Mount Carmel is the United States of America, from California in the west up to Salem in the east. Nor of the idea of the author who wrote in the Symbolic Code vol. 12 No. 1 – 2 Jan – Feb ‘2001 Lake Waco, Texas, the Topic : CRISIS FROM WITHIN, p. 31, par. 4 (left side) : “It is God’s design that this association a t t h i s t i m e will temporarily have no president. Yes ! It does sound awkward to have a vice-president without a living active president, but to whom are we going to murmur and complain about this situation. This is a test for all Davidian believers.”

The above statement by the author of the Topic : CRISIS FROM WITHIN, is indeed a blasphemy, because such a statement could nowhere be found in the Rod message. The author himself is not “m e e k. “ Such a people always avoid the instruction given us by the servant of the Lord :

“The meek, those who are not self sufficient, not high-minded, but humble and t e a c h a b l e, the other class could not be taught.” – 1 Timely Greetings, No. 41, pp. 3, 4.

Those humble and teachable Davidians would find nowhere in the Rod message any statements related to the ideas that “ It is God’s design that this association at this time will temporarily have no president. “ Nowhere, and that is why it does sound awkward. And that is a test for the author himself whether he is a true wheat Davidian SDA or is he the so-called “chaff” categorized one.

This is indeed the result of the view of the Jewish priests fundamentalism which is now embraced by those leaders at the Headquarters of Davidian SDA in Waco, Texas, USA. With their very extreme and awkward stance they very strictly restrict the evangelists, pastors and teachers from developing their talented writing capacity. They show us that the more the ministers limit the amount of their own words to explain the message of the Shepherd’s Rod, to let the message explain itself to the people, the more purity of the message could be preserved. The more purity of the message could be preserved means the more power of the Holy Spirit could be attained by the leaders. But where is the power? Why did they send their ministerial director and his mate to prosecute me in Jakarta, and then without consulting our local leaders for recommendations, they have installed an inexperienced and unqualified young businessman to the highest rank of ordained minister to replace me in Indonesia. They intentionally avoid the following instruction of the Lord that, “God permits men to be placed in positions of responsibility. When they err, He has power to correct or t o r e m o v e them. We should be careful not to take into our hands the work of judging that belong to God …….” Gospel Workers, p. 474, par. 2.

“The fact that one can pray and talk well is no evidence that God has called him. ……The Lord will not entrust the burden for His flock to unqualified individuals. Those whom God calls must be men of deep experience, tried and proved, men of sound judgment, men who will dare to reprove sin in the spirit of meekness, men who understand how to feed the flock. God knows the heart, and He knows whom to select.” – Testimonies, vol. 1, pp. 208, 209.

Those whom God calls must be men of deep experience in the work of saving souls (not in business), tried and proved. And this must be proved from the recommendations submitted to them by the local leaders. But why do their own words of profession to keep the purity of the message, appeared not at all correspond with all their acts of doing things in Jakarta: freely to grant fellowship cards to those who are not as yet worthy, and freely to establish an inexperienced young businessman for a work of responsibility over the people as an ordained minister of the Lord, without first consulting the local leaders for recommendations?

You see, Dear Readers, that is the product of the view of the Jewish priests fundamentalism held by those leaders at the Mount Carmel Center of the Lord in Waco, Texas, USA. The nearer we are approaching the time of our deliverance to the Kingdom the more problems emerged unresolved. In the yearly session held in Waco, Texas, instead of encouraging the people to submit their respective doctrinal problems erupted in the fields, they were always told not to take with them any split of doctrinal views to the session, that those problems to be submitted to the Biblical Research Committee for solution. And for years up to now no single problem and its solution could be seen presented to us in the Symbolic Code by the Biblical Research Committee.

You could now see for yourselves how important is the problem of the “c h a f f “categorized Davidians in our midst to be identified, but even up to now there is not any solution given us of how to categorize those committed in its sin. You know why? With this explanation here presented us, let us be intelligent enough to know for sure, that the “chaff” represents just those persons of the leadership themselves at the Headquarters. They could be identified only from their fruits, from their view of the Jewish priests fundamentalism and from their practical doings which are mostly not correspondingly fit to their own profession of the message. They lack the power of the Spirit of Jesus to guide them, because although they might say to Jesus: “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? And in Thy name have cast out devils? And in Thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I (Jesus) profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from Me, ye that works iniquity.” – The Mount of Blessing, p. 209.

Inspiration and how it works

The servant of the Lord said:

“The Bible is written by inspired men, but it is not God’s mode of thought and expression. It is that of humanity. God, as a writer, is not represented. Men will often say such an expression is not like God. But God has not put Himself in words, in logic, in rhetoric, on trial in the Bible. The writers of the Bible were God’s penmen, not His pen. Look at the different writers.

It is not the words of the Bible that are inspired, but the men that were inspired. Inspiration acts not on the man’s words or his expressions but on the man himself, who, under the influence of the Holy Ghost, is imbued with thoughts. But the words receive the impress of the individual mind. The divine mind is diffused. The divine mind and will is combined with the human mind and will; thus the utterances of the man are the word of God. — Manuscript 24, 1886.” – 1 Selected Messages, p. 21.

“There is variety in a tree, there are scarcely two leaves just alike. Yet this variety adds to the perfection of the tree as a whole. In our Bible, we might ask, Why need Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Gospels, why need the Acts of the Apostles, and the variety of writers in the Epistles, go over the same thing ?

“The Lord gave His word in just the way He wanted it to come. He gave it through different writers, each having his own individuality, though going over the same history.

“The Creator of all ideas may impress different minds with the same thought, but each may express it in a different way, yet without contradiction. The fact that this difference exists should not perplex or confuse us. It is seldom that two persons will view and express truth in the very same way.“ — Ibid., pp. 21, 22.

Look at the different writers who have been inspired of God to write the same story of Jesus and His mission in Palestine. Although each of them may express it in words of their own thought, the result is the same.

Now it is clear that the evangelists, pastors and teachers are duty-bound to preserve the purity of the message, not by restricting the use of the amount of their own words to teach the message to the people, but to preserve the purity of the t r u t h of the message from those who might try to pollute it by inserting their private invented gospel or statements which are not in line with the truth of the message , which is not fully in the light of the Shepherd’s Rod.

It is not the will of the Lord that for the sake of preserving the purity of the truth of the message, the ministers should extremely minimize the use of their own words to such extent, that the message might explain itself to the people. It is not the will of the Lord to restrict His appointed ministers from writing books, booklets, brochures, etc, to the development of their heart capacity (as the spring from which flows all power), to have the message fully comprehended by the people. To the ministers and the people the servant of the Lord said:

“God has given us light in regard to the things that are now taking place in the last remnant of time, and with p e n and v o i c e we (as ministers) are to proclaim the truth to the world (beginning in the Church), not in a tame, spiritless way, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power of God.” – Test. To Ministers, p. 470 (In the brackets is inserted).

“I have been instructed that the prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation should be printed in small books with the necessary explanations, and should be sent all over the world. Our own people need to have the light placed before them in clearer lines.” – Test. For the Church, p. 160.

N o t e : These two statements should be carried out now in the last remnant of time by the evangelists, pastors and teachers, since Houteff have already provided us in the golden bowl of Zechariah 4 with all the interpretations needed. Bro. Houteff was also known of his respect to those ministers who wrote books. That is why in his booklet “The Shepherd’s Rod, pocket edition, p. 69, par. 2, he instructed us to read the “ CHRIST OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, pp. 41 – 55, 1941 edition, by Elder A.G. Daniels, and the “FORTY YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS, pp. 15 – 17 by Elder Taylor Bunch.

God has elected His men for these last days : the prophets (Ellen G. White and Victor T. Houteff), evangelists, pastors and teachers, to accomplish His work of salvation in the Church. He inspired the prophets, who, under the influence of the Holy Ghost, were imbued with thoughts, to write the message into the golden bowl for us. Although not inspired of the same manner, but by the same Spirit, the evangelists, pastors and teachers were also to be guided into the message, that they in turn are to get the saints perfected for the work of ministry, and that they also are to get the body of Christ be edified. So how illogical it is for those, who, for the sake of preserving the purity of the message, they should have restricted the use of their own words to the dwarfing of their own heart capacity, to let the message explain itself to the people. Ridiculous indeed! And this is the kind of sin stipulated in the Revelation 22 : 18, 19. Instead of preserving the purity of the message from the private invented gospel and the statements of strange ideas that might be inserted into the message, they are just restricting the ministers from developing their talented writing capacity.

A Personal Testimony

It was in 1969 when the first time I joined the Davidian group in Jakarta. There were four elders at the time who were the pioneers of the Davidianism in Indonesia. I was already married and very energetic, and soon later I had observed that I already became an object of strife among the elders, because they were themselves not honestly united. After studying together for several months I then decided to study alone with my family. But I always took side with the leader to offer whatever help I could provide him. And so not long after that I began to control the work from behind the screen, to prevent certain elements of doctrinal points of view from too much inserted in providing teaching materials for the people. Up to the time (1970) we only had a number of booklets of the Timely Greetings and several Tracts translated by one of the elders. The Indonesian language itself was just begun to develop as an integrated language in Government Offices and in Educational institutions, and so not too many of us could be speaking good Indonesian up to more than some ten years later. English was rare among us except for those who were of high level education, and those of the business world. And those four pioneer figures did not live too long hence with me, because they were themselves old enough at the time. And only one of those four figures who could maintain the same point of view of the message with me up to his end. So you will see how the Devil work in Jakarta since the beginning of the message in Indonesia, and how hard I was to control the work, and to preserve the purity of the message up to now.

To have the message translated into Indonesian is not as easy as people might think. Because I must first interpret the message fully into my own mind, case by case, doctrine by doctrine, to compare one prophecy with the other, etc. and etc. And after having mastered the meaning fully, then the translation could be easily begun and satisfactory result could be anticipated.

Have you ever imagined of how to translate a book of accountancy into a foreign language? It is not only a matter of mastering the foreign language, but of the science of accountancy as well. Before mastering the science in his mind, the translator could not do the translate work successfully. So it is with the message of the Rod to be translated into Indonesian. I have successfully translated the message into Indonesian, because I have first successfully interpreted it into my own mind. Since the leaders still doubt me of how the purity of the message could be preserved in my private publications of the “Prophecy Speak” articles in Indonesia, why do they not doubt also the result of the work of translating the Shepherd’s Rod message into Indonesian? The author of the Rod message in Indonesian and the author of the teaching the message in “Prophecy Speak” articles, is the same person. Why are they so easy to fall into sin of evil surmising against me, as one of God’s appointed ministers, without first showing me my faults?

Since my English was not so good at the beginning, whereas the pressure from my people to have the message in Indonesian language was so high, I had been obliged to simplify the message into the so-called Prophecy Speak publication of brochures and books as introductory materials for the study, prior to the publication of the Shepherd’s Rod books in Indonesian. The name “Prophecy Speak“is intentionally chosen by me to divert the attention of the Seventh-Day Adventists from their well-known “The Voice of Prophecy”, which is The General Conference institute of Bible Correspondence School.

Now let us look at another controversy. Suppose I have been fallen into the kind of sin they probably have accused me. Then the only sin that has implicated me in is against those stipulated in Rev. 22 : 18, 19. In other prophetic words it is called “to have guile” in the mouth. Rev. 14 : 5. This is not an ordinary sin, because it is the unpardonable sin against the Holy Spirit. Every true minister of God at the top of Carmel should have the ability to see clearly who and when a fellow minister or a leader might fall into this kind of sin. The servant of the Lord said : “ God permits men to be placed in positions of responsibility. When they err, He has power to correct or t o r e m o v e them. We should be careful not to take into our hands the work of judging that belong to God …….” Gospel Workers, p. 474, par. 2.

When I erred I would have misled most of the people in Indonesia with those Prophecy Speak publications which were very first produced several years before the Rod message translated into Indonesian in 1988, and the Lord would have removed me long before. But why did the leaders just boycott me from the post of leadership in Indonesia, whereas the Lord Himself still permits me to proceed in my position of responsibility? It is very clear now that most of the leaders at The Top of Carmel in Waco, Texas, may never more imagine that the Lord’s Spirit is leading His people everywhere in the world, even in Indonesia too. Due to lack of the same Spirit that we are no more see eye to eye, no more having the same mind, and no more able to speak the same things. We fall into sin of evil surmising against each other, and they then established an inexperienced young businessman to be an ordained minister without consulting the local elders for recommendations. They forgot the word of the Lord in the following instruction:

“The fact that one can pray and talk well is no evidence that God has called him. ……The Lord will not entrust the burden for His flock to unqualified individuals. Those whom God calls must be men of deep experience, tried and proved, men of sound judgment, men who will dare to reprove sin in the spirit of meekness, men who understand how to feed the flock. God knows the heart and He knows whom to select.” – Testimonies, vol. 1, pp. 208, 209.

How to identify the tares and the chaff

— Know them of their fruits —

A. The Tares

About 2500 years ago, the angel Gabriel said to Daniel: “Go thy way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. (In the time of the end) Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” – Daniel 12 : 9, 10.

And later in the year 96 John the revelator said : “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia.” – Revelation 1 : 10 – 11.

Since God has only o n e church upon the earth, then the seven prophetic churches in Asia should be interpreted to be the seventh one, the church of Laodicea, which is the Seventh-Day Adventists as the only Church of God in this time of the end. The servant of the Lord said : “All the books of the Bible meet and end in the Revelation; here is the complement of the book of Daniel.” – The Acts of the Apostles, p. 585.

The conclusion is that all the books of the Bible and the books of Daniel and the Revelation, finally would effectively and doctrinally meet their similarities in the golden bowl of Zechariah 4, in the Church of the Laodiceans. But when will those words of Gabriel are first fulfilled effectively among us in this time of the end, when he said, “….. but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” – Daniel 12 : 9, 10.

The words were first fulfilled in the time of Houteff when he for the first time presented the interpretations of the prophecies of the Bible to the angel of the Laodiceans. None of the wicked shall understand because they refused to receive the message. But the wise understands because they welcome joyfully the message. Here is for the first time the Laodicean Church have been divided into two classes of people: the wise virgins or the wheat on the one side, and the foolish virgins or the t a r e s on the other side.

However, with the passing away of Houteff since 1955, and with the development of wickedness of the tares up to now, then Bro. Houteff had left behind for us the following instruction : “However, in conversing or studying with one you know to be a recent convert, you should exercise special care and judgment and tact in presenting only the simplest reform truths first, so as not to bewilder the mind of one who is only a “b a b e “ (a ‘Mahershalalhashbaz’) in the Scriptures.” — 5 Answerer Book, p. 50.

Those “b a b e s “ of Mahershalalhashbaz are not the tares, because they are not as yet refusing the message. God is yet to provide for them more opportunities to be wise, because they are now more in number, dominating our churches everywhere in the world, and we should exercise special care and judgment and tact to present only the simplest reform truths first to them, so as not to bewilder their mind. We all know for sure that the Rod message is the strong meat in due season provided us by the prophets. And the simplest reform truths must be provided by the evangelists, pastors and teachers to have the message be fully comprehended by the people. But where are those simplest reform truths documented, and by whom are they now formulated at the Headquarters? Here again is the sin of those Jewish priests’ fundamentalist leaders at the Headquarters in Waco, Texas, who, for the sake of holding tightly to their view of the Jewish priest’s fundamentalism; they are themselves no more aware of how to feed those babes of Mahershalalhashbaz in the churches. You see, of their fruits they shall be identified. The tares will be identified of their refusing to receive the message of the Rod, and the chaff will be identified of their acts of adding something into or subtracting something from the message. By failing to provide the simplest reform truths first, the leaders are intentionally withholding the message from reaching the people.

B. The Chaff

The chaff is characteristically a part of the wheat. That is why the Lord applies the chaff to represent only those whose relationship with the wheat is very close. Although the identity of tares during the life time of Houteff is very clear, those represented by chaff was not as yet known at the time. This is understandable because whatever problems physically or doctrinally emerged at the time, they were promptly taken into consideration and resolved by Bro. Houteff himself.

However, after the passing away of Bro. Houteff in 1955, the frictions among the wheat were very marked, especially in doctrinal points of view. Several Mount Carmel Centers have been later established in several places, while no single group has successfully been revived and reformed up to now to meet the call of Revival and Reformation by Ellen G. White in the Review and Herald of February 25, 1902, and its rules of implementations as fully stipulated in the booklet “The Leviticus of The Davidian SDA, and the Fundamental Beliefs of The Davidian SDA”, even in the whole message of the Golden Bowl.

We have ever taken for granted that with our return to the prophetic Mount Carmel at its original site in Waco, Texas, in 1991, we would have been fully free and prepared for taking off to the kingdom in Palestine. But alas …..! In fact there are yet many more tasks still undone, whereas the leaders might themselves boast of having successfully preserved the purity of the message, by restricting the evangelists, pastors and teachers from developing their heart capacity to write. But why do they themselves not identify the c h a f f in our midst up to now ? The fact that the Lord permit them not to have the ability to identify the chaff among us, because they themselves are the chaff. The chaff are now rampant in many groups of those who have called themselves by the name Davidian Seventh-day Adventists. And this is the reason why the Lord commanded His evangelists, pastors and teachers, who are now affiliated with the true Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, to do the following instruction :

“The Bible and the books of the Spirit of Prophecy being the sole source of the Shepherd’s Rod message, therefore when the Rod is taught, the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy are taught. And since none but the Spirit of Truth, who transmitted the mysteries of Inspiration, can interpret them, then those who attempt to teach them without this inspired interpretational Authority, inevitably fall into the forbidden practice of private interpretation (2 Pet. 1 : 20) — the great evil which has brought Christendom into its present almost-boundless state of schism and consequent confusion, strife, and impotency.

“As we dare not follow in such a path, we must therefore, as teachers of the Shepherd’s Rod (the official publications of the Davidian SDA Association), t e a c h o n l y i n t h e l i g h t o f t h e R O D those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted. Thus o n l y will all Present Truth believers ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things (1 Cor. 1 : 10; 1 Pet. 3 : 8; Isa. 52 : 8).” — Fundamental Beliefs, pp. 28, 29.

This is the task burdened upon the shoulders of those leading at the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, that is yet undone even up to now. They m u s t t e a c h (by writing books, booklets, brochures, etc.) in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted. This is the only way of identifying the chaff in our midst. Because thus only will all the w h e a t ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things, whereas all the c h a f f will at the same time emerge to show their true stance of refusal.

What are the passages to be interpreted

by the Teachers of the Shepherd’s Rod ?

God’s Present Truth believers are now scattered in several places in the world. They are now affiliated with several Headquarters of Davidian Seventh-day Adventist Associations in the United States of America. Even the Present Truth believers, who are now dominating the true and original location of Bro. Houteff’s Headquarters of the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, they are not as yet becoming of the same mind, seeing eye to eye, and speaking the same things. Is this not a fact that they are no more favored of God, that they are no more under the guidance of His Spirit ? The servant of the Lord has warned :

Since the interpreted passages of the message are to be the only means for reuniting those scattered Davidians SDA in the world, then it is clear that the passages must inevitably represent those contradictive ideas of the message, such as : the true location of the Mount Carmel Center, the vacancy of President that must be filled, the Chaff and its identification, the liberal-minded fundamentalism versus the Jewish priests fundamentalism toward the message, the sin against the Holy Spirit, the problem of the war of Gog against the kingdom of Ezekiel 38 and 39 which is not fully interpreted by Houteff, the problem of time setting and its contradictive related statements, etc. The leaders in Waco, Texas should have been able to get those passages of contradictive ideas be inventoried, before starting to interpret them one by one in the light of the Rod, into each booklet of their related subject. Since they contain the points of view of a long lasting benefit to the readers, they should not be written in bulletins of the Symbolic Code which is only to be read periodically, and then be thrown away.

As long as the divinely appointed teachers of the Shepherd’s Rod message are yet to be tightly restricted from teaching freely in the light of the ROD those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted, there shall be no more hope for all Present Truth believers in the world ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye, and speaking the same things. And this is the reason why the Lord should have taken the reins in His own hands. The servant of the Lord said :

“Let me tell you that the Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning. There will be those among us who will always want to control the work of God, to dictate even what movements shall be made when the work goes forward under the direction of the angel who joins the third angel in the message (of THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY) to be given to the world. God will use ways and means by which it will be seen that He is taking the reins in His own hands. The workers will be surprised by the simple means that He will use to bring about and perfect His work of righteousness.” – Testimonies to Ministers, p. 300. (In the brackets is added)

If you believe that we are now living in the period of the last work, then this is the work of the message of the eleventh-hour call, that no more implicate those (leadership of the General Conference of SDA nor of those now leading at the Headquarters of the Mount Carmel Center) among us who will always want to control the work of God, to dictate even what movements shall be made when the work goes forward under the direction in THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. In the last work of the eleventh-hour call, the Lord would have employed only the laymen, you and me, who are basically now standing idle in the market places, SDA churches in the world. The servant of the Lord said :

“The value of man is estimated in heaven according to the capacity of the heart to know God. This knowledge is the spring from which flows all power.” – Christ’s Object Lessons, pp. 354 – 355.

The divinely appointed evangelists, pastors and teachers, who have been talented to provide those publications for the people, although might be belittled in the eyes of the chaff qualified leaders of the Top of Carmel, they are actually the valued men of God. Because their knowledge transferred to the people would be the spring from which flows all power? You see, though the power does not come right from the message, but from the knowledge of those talented teachers could also flow the power. The power to convince people of their sins, the power to make people understand, even the power to make them repent of their transgressions of the Law.
