SOME EVENTS THAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE CLOSE OF DISCLOSURE AND THINGS THAT NEED AWARENESS
A. Occurs in a world of influence as it approaches deliverance
- The Answerers vol. 1 pages 7 and 8.
….. “the agencies of evil are combining their forces, and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis. Great changes are soon to take place in our world,” says Inspiration, “and the final movements will be rapid ones…. The time is coming when in their fraud and insolence men will reach a point that the Lord will not permit them to pass, and they will learn that there is a limit to the forbearance of Jehovah…. Those who hold the reins of government are not able to solve the problem of moral corruption, poverty, pauperism, and increasing crime. They are struggling in vain to place business operations on a more secure basis…. Soon everything that can be shaken will be shaken, that those things that cannot be shake may remain….
“It is impossible to give any idea of the experience of the people of God who shall be alive upon the earth when celestial glory and a repetition of the persecutions of the past are blended. They will walk in the light proceeding from the throne of God. By means of the angels there will be constant communication between heaven and earth.” — Testimonies, Vol. 9, pp. 11, 13, 15, 16.
Note :
From the quotation of Ellen G. White’s writing, we can find several things that we can witness its development in today’s world conditions:
a. “the agencies of evil are combining their forces, and consolidating” which means that as we have understood according to Daniel’s prophecy in Chapter 11, when the 144,000 saints in the world approach their release, there will be found two large groups of Kings, those Kings of the North and the Kings of the South.
At present, if we look to the world, some countries still have not as yet fully formed into groups, namely the Christian world group which will be headed by America as the group of the King of the North, and the Mohammedan nations who temporarily do not agree with each other, after each has forming unity only then the last great crisis occurred, namely the prophetic war of Zechariah 14.
b. The last movements or changes in the attitude of each nation will be fast movements, so that in order for us to know the development of these changes which will show how close the release of the 144,000 is, we must be diligent in following the information given happening in the world.
c. In that period even though the world governments with all their tools and intelligence in the future they will not be able to solve the problem of “moral corruption, poverty, pauperism” and as a result of these problems of morality, destitution and poverty will arise crimes that will continue increased and the government was unable to control it.
d. Trade or economy will be the main thing around the world, the words “they are struggling” means some of them are waging a trade war in all their efforts to put it in a stable state and the effort will be in vain, so we can estimate that in the future the state of the economy will decline, and of course this is also the cause of increased crime.
e. There will be shocks to everything that can be shaken, the possibility of this prediction will be fulfilled against the fall of the rulers / leaders as the words of Victor Houteff in Symbolic Code Vol. 13, Nos 1 & 2 p. 27 said :
Speaking of this event, Nahum said the fir trees shall be terribly shaken, and the trees will fall. What is happening in the shaking that has already commenced in today’s world? Some great men have fallen, and it is likely that the reason the woman Babylon will be put to rule the world will be due to the trees (rulers) having fallen in the shaking that is now only commencing.
f. Who remains, when those who can be shaken will be shaken? To the best of our current knowledge in the context of Ellen G. White’s words above those who cannot be shaken from their side – those who are disputing are those who will lead the next will sit down on the back of the beast and because the words “everything” of course also apply to God’s people, the 144,000 candidates are the ones who will be shaken and also as his promise that these 144,000 will win is defended by Michael (Daniel 12 : 1), so to it is they who are said to have remained.
2. Timely Greetings vol. 1 No. 21 p. 21.
At the time labor and capital are in a clash, then it is that Jerusalem (the church) shall be searched, as it were, with candles. Consequently, the men who have settled in their houses, those who act as though the Lord has forsaken the earth shall have their punishment.
Note :
“Jerusalem (the church) shall be searched” as we know it means the condemnation or fulfillment of Ezekiel chapter 9 and that condemnation will occur first to the people of Jerusalem or in Adventist church, occurring in a time of conflict between the workers and the capitalists, it means that in front of us there will be a conflict in the social level in society, namely between groups of less fortunate people against people who have large capital / rich people and as stated in the Testimonies, vol 9, pp 11, 13, 15, 16 above that government leaders unable to solve this problem. So in these really dreadful times the 144,000 will be gathered.
B. It happens within our reach and environment.
1. The Answerers vol. 5 p. 77 Question no. 146 : “The time will come when we may have to discard some of the articles of diet we now use, such as milk and cream and eggs; but it is not necessary to bring upon ourselves perplexity by premature and extreme restrictions. Wait until the circumstances demand it, and the Lord prepares the way for it.
“… I am instructed to tell them to eat that food which is most nourishing. I cannot say to them: ‘You must not eat eggs, or milk, or cream. You must use no butter in the preparation of food.’ The gospel must be preached to the poor, but the time has not yet come to prescribe the strictest diet.” — Testimonies, Vol. 9, pp. 162, 163.
Note :
In addition to what happens in the world as quoted above, we are also required to be aware of changes in the environmental conditions we live in, namely the existence of pollution and environmental pollution which is increasingly uncertain, including the possibility of increasing various animal diseases, so we are warned to get ready to leave dairy foods, cream and eggs. But when exactly is the time, we are obliged to follow the development of health conditions in society, as so quickly various diseases are now spreading so rapidly, from previously unknown and one by one new diseases appearing.
2. The Symbolic Code Vol. 12 no. 5 p. 19.

As we follow the experiences of Jacob’s life journey, he worked for his uncle, namely Laban, and during his time with Laban we follow that Jacob, although he faithfully worked, he always received dishonest treatment or was cheated / complicated by his uncle. Therefore, because it is said that we are examples of rivals from Jacob, then we too are on our way apart from getting into trouble from our brothers in the church in spiritual matters, but where we earn a living or in a physical matter we will also face obstacles, difficulties and difficulties. losses due to fraud or any form that disturbs us from the people in our work environment. Because Laban is not from God’s side, so as an example of his rival to us, we can conclude this Laban is from Satan’s side which will be used to weaken and even if possible thwart our election as a candidate for the 144,000.

They became more strict in regard to outward ceremonies, more particular about the theory than the practice of the faith. In their zeal to condemn others, they overlooked their own errors. They lost the brotherly love that Christ had enjoined, and saddest of all, they were unconscious of their loss. They did not realize that happiness and joy were going out of their lives, and that, having shut the love of God out of their hearts, they would soon walk in darkness….
Note :
a. We notice from the words above, namely “gradually“, meaning that changes in people’s care or attention gradually shift from prioritizing the content of a message to turning to God’s bearers or instruments and this situation is not realized by the people / groups who are doing this,
b. The characteristics of them said in the words above can be seen from the change in their obedience, “more strict in regard to outward ceremonies” meaning that without them knowing they are prioritizing upfront appearance,
c. Meanwhile, the knowledge of the truth is now increasingly inversely proportional to the soft, meaning that they used to be quite understanding (hard) but gradually they only theorized, meaning they did not open themselves up to the development of the fulfillment of prophetic truths conveyed by God’s messenger, Ellen G. White and Victor T. Houteff, so that they are not ready to adapt or change in the narrow sense of their way of religion as Ellen G. White says: This experience gives every teacher of truth the very qualifications that will make him a representative of Christ. The spirit of Christ’s teaching will give a force and directness to his communications and to his prayers. His witness to Christ will not be a narrow, lifeless testimony. The minister will not preach over and over the same set discourses. His mind will be open to the constant illumination of the Holy Spirit. —- Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 130, 2nd paragraph.
Then the words of Ellen G. White which say that the testimony is not narrow and dead is also supported by the words of Victor T. Houteff that we must witness the development of the truth from day to day, as follows:
Let us ever bear in mind that we of ourselves know nothing about God’s plans except as told through His appointed servants, the prophets, and as we witness them day by day. If we daily walk with God, if we commit all to Him, then the responsibility is all His. – Timely Greetings vol. 1 no. 7 p. 7.
d. The words “more particular about the theory than the practice of the faith” show that faith is not something that stops growing, thus the development of truth knowledge obtained from “as we witness them day by day” is also part of the faith which complete although the development of the truth obtained from “as we witness them day by day” was obtained from the excavation of the truth teachers who appeared after their prophet had died. (Zechariah 13 : 7).
e. The actions they did were not aware of it, only when the time came that they would regretfully speak the words in Jeremiah 8 : 20.

Moreover, as sure as the Devil lives, he will employ every possible agency to either add to God’s Truth, or to subtract from It, aggravating and disheartening, especially capitalizing on the misfortunes and afflictions of the saints, to thus secure their down-fall if possible. Principally will he depend upon two of his most powerful and successful agencies — extremisms — one pushing to the right and another to the left: In an effort to scatter as many as possible away from the center-path of light he will endeavor to drive one class into the fires of fanaticism, and to plunge another class into the icy waters of unconcern.
Note :
a. The way Satan applies in the congregation is not to encourage people to leave the truth, but He is present to encourage people to add something to God’s truth or to subtract from the truth that has been conveyed,
b. Satan is also present, exaggerating all the sufferings of the various unfortunate fates of the 144,000 candidates,
c. Satan encourages people to embrace fiery fanaticism, meaning that he will make people take an extreme attitude towards something so that his understanding is not willing to be changed, this is if we trace in the Bible we will get an example of this type of people, namely the Parisi. who understood God’s truth so rigidly that Jesus healed the sick on the Sabbath,
d. Learn from the Q&A book volume 1 question No. 3 and Q&A volume 2 question No. 42 about the teaching error of John the Baptist which states that Jesus will come with his kingdom and the error of this teaching is only known after Jesus came without participating in his kingdom. These teachings give rise to two groups and even though there are errors in these teachings, God is pleased only with people who do not question the errors of John the Baptist’s teachings and continue to follow developments by becoming followers of Jesus.
We see that the impact of these doctrinal errors is very large, if we live in that era, we are not necessarily willing to sincerely not take issue with these doctrinal errors, but from this lesson we notice that there were two groups of people at that time in addition to other groups who remained together of the Paritionists who refused to follow John the Baptist as well as Jesus, the first group were people who honestly clung to what John the Baptist taught along with his teachings about the coming of Jesus along with his kingdom which was ultimately due to Jesus came not following his kingdom they later left him and became neither the followers of John the Baptist nor Jesus, and one other group of people who honestly held to John’s wrong teachings, but in their development, although not in accordance with the teachings of John the Baptist, they You still accept and become followers of Jesus.
From the examples of the experiences of the people at the time of John the Baptist, we can see that God requires His people to be open and not closed to keep up with developments, even though the developments may differ from the understanding they have had for a long time or from what the messengers conveyed previous.
This means that in this lesson we notice that God is not in those groups of people whose various ways of looking at a truth that has been conveyed by Ellen G. White and Victor T. Houteff is a truth that cannot be developed. And because the lessons of John the Baptist’s experience are conveyed to those of us who live in the end of the world, where Victor T. Houteff is the most recent prophet, then implicitly Victor T. Houteff also gives us a clue that there is no need for a prophet to interpret a development. truth if there are things that are found that differ from the conclusions of Victor T. Houteff in some of his teachings.
e. Satan’s attempt to thwart the plan to save God’s court as above, is also carried out through a cold and uninspired indifference, an attempt like this is carried out by Satan after previously “aggravating and disheartening, especially capitalizing on the misfortunes and afflictions of the saints.”
f. It is said from the explanation of Victor T. Houteff above that these two Satanic efforts, namely through extreme understanding and indifference are the strongest and most successful ways, so because we are the targets of Satan’s efforts at the end of this age, it is necessary to be careful. we are against these two efforts, one of which is by not entrusting understanding only to people who are trusted.
5. Timely Greetings vol. 2 no. 46 p. 48.
The ones, though, who bear the heaviest burden of feeding the flock with “meat in due season” will be the Devil’s main targets. At just such a time as this, these devoted followers of God will profit most by the Lord’s advice:
“Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house. Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” Mic. 7 : 5 – 7.
Note :
It can be concluded briefly and simply that the advice conveyed through Micah is that we should not depend on humans to believe whoever the person is, no matter how smart and how close we are to someone about all things understanding or understanding of a part or the whole truth.
Then maybe from these words the following question arises, how do we learn it, to whom we can learn besides our individual duty to apply the words of Revelation 1: 3, namely reading for yourself, haven’t we been given divine ministerial service as mentioned in Epesus 4:11 ?, the answers we can get from Victor T. Houteff are:
Ministers are not called to be taskmasters, nor conscience for others. They are called to be teachers of the Truth. – Timely Greetings vol. 1 no. 51 p. 5.
This means that from the above quotation, the existence of pastors or every truth worker must now act like teachers of truth, that is to provide an understanding of how to think, the flow of understanding the writings of Ellen G. White and Victor T. Houteff does not dictate one’s understanding to one’s own understanding. In simple terms, the illustration is that as a teacher at school teaches mathematics lessons that are given by him to his students, the logic / pattern or flow of thought is to get a sum, not just the final result that must be accepted by students, for example the sum of 5 x 5 = 25 not just given to students, so that students in the end only memorize the teacher’s thoughts, but the way or steps to get the final number 25 that he gives are the sum of 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5.
6. Timely Greetings vol. 2 no. 28 p. 13 & 14.
V. 7. ……. thus instructs the Spirit of God: We need never expect that when the Lord has light for His people, Satan will stand calmly by, and make no effort to prevent them from receiving it.” — Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 728. Remember, however, that Satan will not appear to you as one having horns and hoofs, but as an angel of light, as a friend and a servant of God, even endeavoring to impersonate Christ’s own attributes if possible. – Jezreel Letter, No. 4 p. 5.
Note :
a. This explanation warns us not to be satisfied with our present position because we have accepted the present truth, unlike the rejecters of the truth of food at its time in the Laodicean Council and to feel confident that they escaped the pouring out of God’s wrath against those who rejected the truth of food in due time,
