The Sin Against The Holy Spirit
“And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man,
it shall be forgiven him : but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” – Matthew 12 : 32.
“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.” – Proverbs 24 : 16.
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord : though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.“ – Isaiah 1 : 18.
The just man mentioned by Solomon in this instance, does not mean those who have been purified spiritually, but especially to those people of God who keep the Bible and the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY as the only rules of implementations of the Law of the Ten Commandments. Due to their keen efforts to know and to obey the Law of God and the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY from (A) — to – (Z), that whenever they fall into any transgression, however small it might be, they would always be convinced of their sin, and ready to repent without delay. Such transgressions of the Law are the ordinary sins, which have been frequently implicated by the people of God even up to this day. No one of us could be free from such acts of sin up to now. However, since we are always convinced of the sins we have been implicated in, and then repented without delay, that the loving Father would also forgive us as frequent as we have repented of those sins.
Many professed Christians of today have increased their communication with the Lord in the so-called the unceasing prayer. However, what does it profit a man of his prayer to the Lord, if he still willfully keeps on transgressing His Law? The Lord God had ever since reminded us in the following words: “He that turneth away his ear from hearing the Law, even his prayer shall be abomination.” – Proverbs 28 : 9.
It is undeniable fact that due to lack of the knowledge of the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY as the only rules of implementation of the Law in our churches, most of the prayers to the Lord, pleading for the forgiveness of sin, have been uttered without the petitioners themselves convince of which sin they have ever been implicated in. How is it possible for the Lord to forgive our sin, whereas we are ourselves lacking the knowledge of which sin we have been implicated in. Is it possible for the Lord being willing to forgive us our sins on and on, whereas we ourselves continue doing the same sins, due to lacking the knowledge of the Law? The consequences are very serious, that from one Sabbath to the other, from one month to the other, even from year to year up to this very day, the loving Father in Heaven seemed still reluctant to pour out even a little volume of His Spirit to give us power to distinguish between the right way and the wrong way to pray.
Know Ye first the Law of God and its By-Laws, which are the Rules of Implementation
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
– 1 Yahya 4 : 8
Love is the moral character and the soul of God. That is the only love that has become the source of the Law of the Kingdom of Heaven, which is known here on the earth as the Law of Ten Commandments. Therefore the Law of God is to reveal to us His Love in three main categories in the following consecutive orders : The first is to love God; the second, is to love your own self; and the third is to love your fellowmen. Thereby the Law of God as a basic Law or the Constitution of the kingdom of Heaven would also be known as the Law of Love. And this Law of Love would consequently be the source of the whole Bible and all the interpretations thereof in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. Though consist of three main categories, the Love of God has been specified in only two portions. So the Law of God, which had been written by His own fingers on two tables of stone, and then submitted by himself into the hands of Moses on the Mount Sinai, would contain only ten main Commandments. On the first table of stone is found the first four Commandments, stipulating the rules of how to love God supremely with all our heart and soul, and with all our strength and power. And on the second table of stone is found the second six Commandments, stipulating the rules of how to love our fellowmen as how we love our own self. The obligation to love our own self was combined with the obligation to love our fellowmen, and had been placed in the same table of stone. This is the second table of stone with the six Commandments.
The way of dividing the Basic Law into two main categories: Public Laws on the one side with all its rules and regulations, and the Private Laws and all its rules and regulations on the other side have been familiar in the domain of the law scientific knowledge. The various rules and regulations ruling between the Government and the public are to be categorized in the Public Law, and the various rules and regulations ruling between the people themselves or between the businesses of the people are to be categorized in the Private Laws. Therefore let it be understood that sciences, especially the law science which is popularly known among us in the world today, has yet many similarities to the knowledge of the Law of the Kingdom of Heaven. That is the reason why Sister White said:
“In true science there can be nothing contrary to the teaching of the word of God, for both have the same Author. A correct understanding of both will always prove them to be in harmony. Truth, whether in nature or in revelation, is harmonious with itself in all its manifestations. But the mind not enlightened by God’s Spirit will ever be in darkness in regard to His power. This is why human ideas in regard to science so often contradict the teaching of God’s word.” – 8 Testimonies for the Church, p. 258.

Since the source of the Law of the Ten Commandments is the moral character and soul of the Lord God Himself, then due to the fact of the everlasting existence of God, the Law of Ten Commandments would inevitably be everlasting too. This means, it could never be amended for ever and ever as the Author Himself could not change. However, it is not so with the rules of implementation of the Law or the By-Laws, which is found in the Bible and the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. This is of course understandable, because the more the number of people increased on the face of the earth, the more rules of implementation of the Law are needed to guide and to keep them in the truth. As an example let us look to Adam and Eve. Ever since their fall in sin, they had been obliged to offer to the Lord a burnt offering of a lamb sacrificed on the altar every morning and evening. This ceremony was later developed by Moses to the Israelites in the wilderness, where they should be serviced by the priests every morning and evening in the so-called the holy place of the sanctuary of the tabernacle. And once a year the services would be held by the high priest in the most holy place of the sanctuary of the tabernacle.
The ceremonial service of baptism, which was never before known in the Old Testament era, it was just shown to us by Jesus Himself of how important the baptism is for the salvation of mankind. It has been one of the most important services in the time of the New Testament that should be taken by everyone who wants to get the citizenship of the kingdom of heaven here on earth. And even in the rules on health which were before the Flood free from flesh meat, and later had been amended and perfected with several restrictions in the time of Moses as stipulated in the Leviticus chapter 11; they have all now been amended and perfected with many more restrictions in the rules of Health and Dress Reform of 1863. Therefore beginning in 1863 with the issuance of the rules on Health and Dress Reform in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY by the servants of the Lord, we are now obliged not only to shun meat and all kind of flesh food, but also to obey the rules on the way of drinking, of dressing, and even the way of working etc.
Moses, the prophet, is well-known in the Bible as a law scientist and a historian of the creation. He was also the first writer of the Bible. He is the author of the following books: The Genesis, The Exodus, The Leviticus, The Numbers, and The Deuteronomy. One of his statements that should attracts much the attentions of the Law scientists, who want to get the Bible fully investigated in this time of the end, is found in The Deuteronomy 29 : 29. As follows:
“The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”— Deuteronomy 29 : 29. (Taken from King James Version of the Bible).
Those things which are revealed will be found in the Bible. They would include various prophecies of the old Testament prophets and the parables of Jesus Himself, which are yet to be interpreted in the time of the end, that we may do all the words of the Law of the Ten Commandments. Thus it might be understood from the lips of the prophet himself, that all the Law of God codified in the Bible ever since Moses’ time up the the time of the end, should consist of only The Law of Ten Commandments as The Constitution on the one side, and The Bible and all its interpretations in The SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, as The By-Laws or The Rules of Implementations of the Law, on the other side.
To Love God supremely,
and To Love our Fellowmen as to Ourselves
Let us read again the Ten Commandments of God in the book, Exodus 20 : 1 – 17. The first four Commandments oblige us to love God supremely, and the second six Commandments oblige us to love our fellowmen as how to love our own selves. For more specifications please follow below:
TO LOVE GOD means:
To Obey All the Instructions given, related to the:
· Sacredness, Honor, Greatness, and the Unity of:
The Lord GOD, His Name, and the Holiness of His Day of Rest.
· The Prophecies of the Old Testament
· The Book of Revelation
· The Parables of Jesus in the New Testament
TO LOVE OUR FELLOWMEN AS HOW TO LOVE OUR OWN SELVES, which means:
To establish and to keep:
· A prosperous family
· Good education
· Healthful living in general
· Good communication between people
· And others
How to identify those acts of Loving
In the order of God’s Law, the obligation to love God has been placed at the foremost. Only those who first prioritize their love to their Maker are the true people of God. Such people are generally unknown among their fellowmen, because their acts of loving their God have not affected much to their fellowmen. Thus it is, when they fall into a sin for failing to love God supremely as specified here below, or when they rise again from their falling, no other people would be directly affected. This could easily be understood, because in the love of God only two parties are implicated in.
To Love God = to obey all the instructions given in regard to the
· Sacredness, Honor, Greatness, and the Unity of the Lord God, His Name, and the Holiness of His Day of Rest.
· The prophecies of the Old Testament,
· The book of Revelation,
· The Parables of Jesus
The first couple of men ever since the beginning had been familiar with the Law of God. They had been familiar to obey the entire instructions given them in regard to the sacredness, the honor, the greatness, and the unity of the Lord God, His Name, His Greatness, and the holiness of His Day of rest. However, since the prophecies and the parables of Jesus, were not yet known in their life time, these are the only instructions they failed to obey. It is clear now that those prophecies and the parables of Jesus only oblige us to love God supremely, without having any need to love our fellow men. And all these should be proven when we obey all the instructions as stipulated in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.
However, when we want to practice the acts of love toward our fellowmen as specified here below:
To love our fellowmen = to establish and to keep:
· A prosperous family
· Good education
· Healthful living in general
· Good communication between people
· And others,
The other people will be directly affected. And when we fall in any sin for failing to meet one of the specifications, the consequences would sometimes be fatal to those implicated in the transgression. This should be understood, because the acts of loving our fellowmen will at first implicate at least two parties, and then implicate the Lord God as the third party, and very often implicate also some Government agencies in some particular cases. Several of the very distinct cases of the sin, will be seen at those who were implicated in the sin of murder, in adultery, in robbery, of those who steal, and those who speak a lie, and those who failed to honor their parents, etc… As an example, when someone is committed in sin of robbing, the first victim would be those who lost their property. The second is the robber himself, because he would soon be convinced by himself to the Lord God of his acts of sin. And third, the Government through its law enforcers of the Police agency, the Prosecutors, and the Judges, who would take the case to the court of justice to punish the actor of the transgression.
Actually the Law of God obliging people to love their fellowmen was already known ever since the beginning of Creation. The specifications thereof have been familiar among the people before the Flood, either by those of God’s own people or by those who only trusting their lives to the power of nature. Even among the people who are not as yet aware of their Maker and His written Law in this time of the end, they would have lived up the unwritten Law of God indirectly from the law of nature. Even the Government leaders of the world, have formulated their own laws and regulations, up to the details, without having the least knowledge of the Ten Commandments and the Testimonies of Jesus, as the Constitution and the By-Laws of God. And they are successful having to uphold their own laws and regulations to keep peace and order in the societies.
Under the Guidance of the Holy Spirit
When the rules and regulations on the acts to love our fellowmen could have been also formulated by the World leaders and their Governments without the aid of the Holy Spirit of God, the fact is that no one on the earth ever had the ability to formulate by themselves the rules and regulations on the acts to love God supremely without the aid of God’s own Spirit. The apostle Peter ever said: “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretations. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but the holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” – 2 Peter 1 : 20, 21.
Since the prophecies of the Bible have come through the Old Testament prophets, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, then the interpretations thereof should have been given us in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY by the New Testament prophets, under the guidance of the same Spirit. And then by the same Spirit we would be guided into all truths and to be informed of the things to come. The servant of the Lord said: “We cannot rightly understand or appreciate divine revelation without the aid of that Spirit by whom the word was given. “ – 5 Testimonies, p. 241. And then come the fulfillment of the word of John the revelator, when he said:
“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand……….. Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” – Revelation 1 : 3; 22 : 14. This means, blessed are you and me who read directly into The SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, and also to them who hear the words from the evangelists, pastors, and teachers, because under the guidance of the same Spirit we would be able to comprehend and to get the Commandments of God taken into our practical life, that we may have right to enter into the gates of the coming kingdom in the Palestine.
Due to the fact that the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY was for the first time known in this time of the end, it is just this SPIRIT OF PROPHECY that has divided the Church of God into two classes of people in this time of the end. The people of God, who have been used to be under the guidance of the Spirit, began to split with each other. Those who are always aware that there must be some more truths yet to be revealed from the Bible before the close of time, would gladly accept the new light presented them in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. Whereas the others who are no more hungry and thirsty for the new truths to be revealed in their midst, would arise to slam every new light presented to them. Unknowingly to their spiritual condition, they have hardened their hearts on and on, that at last they should have been left alone by the Spirit of their guidance. The consequence is at the end they have lost altogether their citizenship of the kingdom of God. They now turned to be “the wicked”, who have sinned against the Holy Spirit, the unpardonable sin.
The sinners against the Holy Spirit are actually none other than the Lord’s own people, who were ever before under His guidance of the Holy Spirit. They are the people who have ever enjoyed the privilege to know how to love their God supremely with the whole heart and soul, with all their strength and power, and to love their fellowmen as how to love their own selves. But why could they not be led unto all truths, and even could not be made aware of the things to come in this time of the end? Is the Holy Spirit of God less powerful to have full control over His people? The servant of the Lord said:
“Will God compel your obedience; will He compel your will? Never. The Lord has furnished you with capacities, with intelligence, with reason. He has sent from heaven His only-begotten Son to open the way for you, and to place within your reach immortality. What account can you render to God for your weakness, your disobedience, your impurity, your evil thoughts and evil works?”– Testimonies to Ministers, p. 452.
“The law of love being the foundation of the government of God, the happiness of all intelligent beings depends upon their perfect accord with its great principles of righteousness. God desires from all His creatures the service of love – service that springs from an appreciation of His character. He takes no pleasure in a forced obedience; and to all He grants freedom of will, that they may render Him voluntary service.” – Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 34.
“It is not God’s purpose to coerce the will. Man was created a free moral agent. Like the inhabitants of all other worlds, he must be subjected to the test of obedience” – Patriarchs and Prophets, pp. 331, 332.
Due to the rejection of truth every time offered to him by his own accompanying Spirit from God that the Spirit at last had to leave him alone. He then fell into the sin against the Holy Spirit.
Jesus had ever warned !
“And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man,
it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” – Matthew 12 : 32
Prior to His mission to preach the gospel of salvation of mankind, Jesus was first seeking baptism in the hand of John the Baptist in the year 27. He then called in the eleventh disciples one after another, and Judas Iscariot who came by himself to join in. For three and a half years He had taught the people, performing various activities, and even He had ever fed about five thousand people who followed Him right to the mountain side, to hear Him preaching the message of salvation. Miracles after miracles He had performed in several places, and at the end of His mission, however, when He should have to go back to His Father in Heaven, there were only 120 people including His disciples who had been chosen to receive the pouring out of His Spirit of the former Rain.
Barrier after barrier He had to pass and even the animosity of the Jewish’s leaders, who had provoked and misled the people against Jesus, had reached its culmination at the time when Jesus was brought to the front of Pilate.” Crucify Him, crucify Him,” exclaimed the multitude to Pilate, “let His blood be born upon us, and let Barabas be released for us.” The cruelty of the Jewish nation against Jesus and His personality at the time was truly a barbaric act of an unpardonable sin. However, do you know, that only several months beforehand He had already proclaimed His words of pardon to everyone of them, when He said: “And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” – Matthew 12 : 32
No wonder when for the wicked multitude, Jesus in His love for His poor creatures, still had reserved for them a forgiveness of sin. Due to the fact that after He returned to the Father, He had commissioned the Holy Spirit on His behalf to continue His work of salvation on earth. To this end Sister White said:
“The Holy Spirit is Christ’s representative, but divested of the personality of humanity, and independent thereof. Cumbered with humanity, Christ could not be in every place personally. Therefore it was for their interest that He should go to the Father, and send the Spirit to be His successor on earth. ……. By the Spirit the Savior would be accessible to all. In this sense He would be near to them than if He had not ascended on high.” – Desire of Ages, p. 669.
Therefore ever since the year 31, the personality of Christ could no more be met on the earth. The Holy Spirit then continue to represent Him ever since to communicate with men on the earth. However, in His communication with us, the Holy Spirit will not speak of Himself but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak, and He will show us the things to come. This is what Jesus said before His departure,
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth : for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak : and he will show you things to come.“– John 16 : 13.
On the day of Pentecost in the year 31, the Holy Spirit had been poured out. And led by the Spirit of Truth the 120 disciples of Jesus had successfully proclaimed the gospel among the Jews with full power, that only within the first days of the beginning , they could have gained up to 3000 souls repented in only one day. Among those repented on the day of Pentecost, there were also those who had ever mocked and derided Jesus when He was brought in to Pilate, and even those who sneered at His suffering along the way to the crucifixion. And even under the guidance of the Holy Spirit some of the disciples began to write their epistles in what is now known as The New Testament Scriptures. John the Revelator is well-known of his book of Revelation which was written in 96.
Since the Spirit of Truth would not speak of Himself, it should be understood that “the all truths” and the knowledge of “the things to come” would inevitably come from Jesus Himself. This is why Sister White said: “In ancient times God spoke to men by the mouth of the prophets and apostles. In these days He speaks to them by the testimonies of His Spirit. There was never a time when God instructed His people more earnestly than He instructs them now concerning His will, and the course that He would have them pursue.”– Evangelism, pp. 255, 256.
In these days, in this time of the end, when the message of the angel of Revelation 18 : 1 has come through Brother Victor T. Houteff, to unite his voice with the third angel message of Revelation 14 : 6 – 9 by Sister White, into the so-called THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, to enlighten the earth with its glory, beginning in our Seventh-Day Adventist Church, we should have been abundantly blessed therewith, to be thankful to the Lord, while again imitating the word of David the prophet : “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” —Psalm 119 : 105.
May it be fully understood now, that if in ancient times God spoke to men by the mouth of the prophets and apostles which now have been documented in the Bible, then in these days He is pleading with us through the testimonies of His Spirit, which is THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. As a servant of the Lord Sister White said that all those presented us in writing are ‘The Testimonies of His Spirit.” The Lord Jesus Himself has sent His Spirit to inspire Sister White and Brother Houteff to formulate THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY for us. And that is the reason why she said:
“It is through the agency of the Holy Spirit that God communicates with man; and those who deliberately reject this agency as satanic, have cut off the channel of communication between the soul and Heaven. God works by the manifestation of His Spirit to reprove and convict the sinner; and if the Spirit’s work is finally rejected, there is no more that God can do for the soul. The last resource of divine mercy has been employed. The transgressor has cut himself off from God, and sin has no remedy to cure itself. There is no reserved power by which God can work to convict and convert the sinner. “Let him alone” (Hosea 4 : 17) is the divine command.” — Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 405.
God works by the manifestation of His Spirit to reprove and convict the sinner. The all truths and the things to come would certainly be fully available only in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, to reprove and convict the sinner to repent.
There are only
Two Kinds of Sin known in the Bible
To talk of “sin” as a transgression of the law, let us look again to the Law of God, and its rules of implementation in the Bible and the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. Due to the fact that there are only two obligations to love that must be observed by the people of God on earth, then there are also two kinds of transgression of the law or two kinds of sin, that would implicate all of us in them. The first kind of transgression will be categorized as the ordinary sin, because no one on the earth could ever be free from this kind of sin. That is why such a sin could also be named a pardonable sin, because even the entire people of God have been implicated in it and the sinner or the transgressor is called: “the just or the people of God.” However, there is a second kind of transgression of the law, which is the unpardonable sin, and those implicated in such a sin will be called “the wicked.” The prophet Solomon ever said: “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.” – Proverb 24 : 16.
The Biblical number “seven” indicates completeness or perfectness. However many times and again the people of God repeatedly fall in the ordinary sin, and however great and dark is the sin they have been implicated in, as soon as they rise up again, they shall be forgiven their sins as white as snow and as clean as wool. The Lord is now pleading with us in the following words :
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord : though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” – Isaiah 1 : 18.
This means, however many times and again we are implicated in the ordinary sin, and rise up again, our status as “the just” or “the citizen of the kingdom” in the sight of God could always be maintained. This is to prove by itself, that we have been living up the rules of implementation of the Law from A — to — Z, that we would be always aware of whatever sin we have been implicated in, and to rise up again.
But for those who reject THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY either all, or only a certain part of it, presented to them in the message, they would certainly fall into an unpardonable sin, which is the sin against the Holy Spirit. This is the kind of sin against God Himself, because the actor failed to love God supremely by obeying His instructions in the prophecies and the parables of Jesus. The longer we hesitate to accept the testimonies of His (Jesus) Spirit in THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, the sooner the Holy Spirit would be leaving us alone. Then the capacity to distinguish between right and wrong is lost, and we altogether will be left in the darkest night to the way to repentance. Thus it is that we will fall from one sin to another, that at last we will altogether lost our ability to repent.
Dear Reader ! May you be very careful toward those unpardonable sinners, because they are indeed the wicked ones in our churches in this time of the end. Most of them are now dominating our churches everywhere in the world. In regard to them Sister White has warned:
”For a time, persons who have committed this sin may appear to be children of God; but when circumstances arise to develop character and show what manner of Spirit they are of, it will be found that they are on the enemy’s ground, standing under his black banner.” – Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 634.
When you try to offer them an article of a study into THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, they would soon get up to reject it, and at the same time you would have identified what manner of Spirit they are of.
However, in regard to the ordinary sin, due to not loving our fellowmen as to ourselves. Since the consequences would directly be felt by those parties involved, that despite lack of Holy Spirit leading unto all truth, the sinner himself would have been convinced of his negligence or transgression, and then be regretted. Therefore we have never before heard of the acts of stealing, killing, being committed in adultery and the likes, being categorized in the sin against the Holy Spirit.
The Consequences of
Sin against the Holy Spirit
The sin against the Holy Spirit as an unpardonable sin has been also identified as “a sin unto death.” The apostle John said: “If any man see his bother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.”— 1 John 5 : 16.
Let us be fully aware dear Readers, because only once we fall in the sin against the Holy Spirit, for not willing to recognize any of the testimonies of His Spirit in THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, then the Spirit of God would have left us alone. The consequence is very serious as to what the apostle John said, the Lord would no more permit anyone of us to pray for them who have been implicated in a sin unto death. It means, we are no more allowed to pray for the forgiveness of their sin, because such a pray would no more be welcomed in Heaven. The Lord even forbid us to offer them more truth : “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before the swines, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” – Matthew 7 : 6.
The sinners against the Holy Spirit would not only be categorized as “the wicked”, but even are more humiliated as “dogs and swines”, who are lacking the knowledge of the value of that which is holy, and the pearls.

Dear Readers ! The Lord God obliges us first to love Him supremely with all our heart and soul, with all our power and strength, and even with all our substance. And secondly to love our fellowmen as how to love ourselves. However, how is it possible for us to love Him supremely, whereas THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY as the Rules of Implementations of the Law of Love still is rejected in the churches? No wonder, when the rules on how to love our fellowmen will be more and more lifted up and promoted, than to obey the rules of how to love God supremely as stipulated in the prophecies and the parables of Jesus and their interpretations in THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. The result is that those who are generally deemed to be more generous for their voluntary services in the churches, and those who are of strong financial background, would always be chosen to occupy various important positions of leadership in the churches. Such lacking of the knowledge of the Law and THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY on the part of the leadership that now led to the sin unto death dominating our people everywhere in the world. This is the reason why Sister White had to say:
“I have been shown that the greatest reason why the people of God are now found in this state of spiritual blindness is that they will nor receive correction.” – 3 Testimonies, pp. 253 – 255.
Dear fellow Believers in the Lord, let us again take into consideration the following words of Jesus through His simple servant, Sister Ellen G. White, here below :
“It is not God that blinds the eyes of men or hardens heir hearts. He sends them light to correct their errors, and to lead them in safe paths; it is by the rejection of this light that the eyes are blinded and the hearts hardened. Often the process is gradual, and almost imperceptible. Light comes to the soul through God’s word, through His servants, or by the direct agency of His Spirit; but when one ray of light is disregarded, there is a partial benumbing of the spiritual perceptions, and the second revealing of light is less clearly discerned. So the darkness increases, until it is night in the soul. Thus it had been with these Jewish leaders. They were convinced that a divine power attended Christ, but in order to resist the truth, they attributed the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan. In doing this they deliberately chose deception; they yielded themselves to Satan, and henceforth they were controlled by his power.” – The Desire of Ages, pp. 322 – 323.
