At the accomplishment of the Harvest

Isaiah 63 : 3, 4 :

“ …for I will tread them in Mine anger, and trample them in My fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon My garments, and I will stain all My raiment. For the day of vengeance is in Mine heart, and the year of My redeemed is come.”

In one of his sermons delivered in August 1935, Bro. Houteff said :

“True we are establishing our headquarters on this mount that is found in prophecy, but our stay here shall be very, very short, for ‘He will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.’ (Rom. 9 : 28).

‘It might be interesting to Elder G. to know that the naming of our ‘camp’ ‘Mt. Carmel Center’ came about in the same way as the naming of our publications ‘The Shepherd’s Rod,’ for we did not know before hand that it was in prophecy until after our attention was called to Micah 7 : 14 and Amos 1 : 2. In the prophecy of Amos we read :

“The Lord will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the t o p of C a r m e l shall wither.”

“The prophet Jeremiah in the following words explains that this wailing by those who are thus deceived will be at the close of probation. For they shall say, ‘the harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.’ That is, after the harvest, the time in which they could have been saved, they will realize that the probationary time has closed. Then the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.’ Hence, before that time the top of Carmel must have been green with much pasture, otherwise there would be nothing to wither; that is, though Carmel has n o w (in 1935 when this sermon was delivered) plenty of pasture (present truth), when probation closes it shall be deserted (‘wither’, for says the Spirit of Prophecy : ‘In the time of trouble we all fled from the cities and villages.” – Early Writings, p. 34.

“Thus shall the top of Carmel wither, and those who do not take heed to the word, ’To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts,’ at length will be alarmed that their opportunity for accepting the truth has slipped away. Then in their hasty, frenzied effort to acquaint themselves with present truth which went forth from the top of Carmel, to their surprise they shall find that Carmel has finished its work, its inhabitants removed, and probation closed, at which time the inhabitants of ‘Carmel’ can but repeat, ‘the harvest is past, the summer is ended, and w e have nothing for thee.’ “— The Symbolic Code, Vol. 11, No. 12, p. 32.

N o t e !

It is an undeniable fact that from the mouth of the servant of the Lord himself we know that the top of Carmel has its permanent location in Waco, Texas, USA, and the green pasture represents “the present Truth” provided us by Bro. Houteff. Present Truth which went forth from the top of Carmel during the life time of Houteff, is now could be found everywhere in the world, even on the Web sites in the Cyber space. Brother Houteff said: “Millions ! So it is that these small comprehensive publications, the bright clouds, laden with present Truth, are now being scattered as leaves of autumn throughout Laodicea to every church member, “to every one grass” in the vineyard of the Lord. The final results ? More than one thousand will soon be converted in one day ………” TG. Vol. 1, No. 17 , p. 5.

Therefore, the present Truth mentioned above that went forth from the top of Carmel should not be manipulated to be the teachings of “those professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the priests in Christ’s day,” who are now dominating the top of Carmel in Texas. It is impossible for the present Truth to go forth from the top of Carmel now in Texas as long as those professed friends of the gospel, who are now dominating the top of Carmel, still having guile in their mouth.

To Day If Ye Will Hear His Voice,

Harden Not Your Heart.

“True we are establishing our headquarters on this mount that is found in prophecy, but our stay here shall be very, very short, for ‘He will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness : because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.’ (Rom. 9 : 28).

“The Lord will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the t o p of C a r m e l shall wither.”

“With a few comments on the above scripture, any Bible student will recognize at a glance that it applies at the time of the end, as explained by the gospel prophet : ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills …… for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem’ (Isaiah 2 : 2, 3), which in the language of Amos is, ‘Utter His voice from Jerusalem.’ Looking to this same time Joel puts it as follows : ‘And the Lord shall utter His voice before His army : for His camp is very great : for He is strong that executeth His word : for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it ?’ (Joel 2 : 11).

“As Amos says, ‘The habitations of the shepherds shall mourn,’ it is obvious that the habitations’ (places) is in the plural form which cannot be applied to one shepherd’s habitation (denomination) but to all that be in existence at that time. The term ‘shepherds’ means, as understood, the same as ‘the ancient men which were before the house’ — the ministers. Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 211. Note that the shepherds are not themselves to mourn but their ‘habitations’ (their houses); that is, the membership of their churches, which fact reveals that it will be thus at the time when the sleeping multitudes in the churches awake from their spiritual insensibility and find that the shepherds whom they have implicitly trusted for their salvation had deceived all those who followed them.

In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord (Amos 8 : 12, 13, 11) Oh, what a disappointment that will be !

“And now ‘mine eyes’ with the eyes of the lamenting prophet ‘do fail with tear, ……. for the destruction of the daughter of My people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city. Thy prophets (teachers) have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.’ (Lamentation 2 : 11, 14)

“As the Lord has never left His people in darkness, we find the work of the shepherd’s Rod clearly outlined in prophecy throughout the Bible, and the only reason that our leading brethren cannot see the truth in it and do not know ‘who hath appointed it’ is because they are trying to see it through dollars and cents instead of through the Spirit of Prophecy, the eyes for the church, through which only can they see the truth and the true state of their condition of spiritual blindness, poverty and wretchedness, and a need for ‘eye salve,’ ‘for what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.’ (1 Cor. 2 : 11).

“But now as ‘the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth : for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come’ (John 16 : 13) for without the Spirit of God ‘no man’ knoweth the things of God.” — THE SYMBOLIC CODE, Vol. 1, No. 14. T h e R e s u m e

The resume of all the story presented in this article will be seen in the following diagram. Look carefully at the diagram, and then read the explanations as provided here below.

The establishment of the General Association of Davidian Seventh-day Adventists in 1935 in Waco, Texas, is the result of the accomplishment of reorganizing the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist by Bro. Houteff, to meet the fulfillment of the call for a spiritual revival and spiritual reformation by Mrs. White in Review and Herald, February 25, 1902. At the same time, therefore, the General Conference of SDA, which is prophetically called the fallen angel of the Laodicean Church, should be spewed out of Jesus’ mouth. To this end the servant of the Lord said :

“To those who are indifferent at this time Christ’s warning is: ‘Because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth.’ Revelation 3 : 16. The figure of spewing out of His mouth means that He cannot offer up your prayers or your expressions of love to God. He cannot endorse your teaching of His word or your spiritual work in anywise. He cannot present your religious exercises with the request that grace be given you.” –- 6 Testimonies, p. 408.

During the life time of Houteff General Association of Davidian SDA in Waco, Texas, was making tremendous progresses in several parts of the world. Under the leadership of Houteff, up to the time he died in 1955, the world has ever witnessed only one General Association of Davidian SDA by the name Mount Carmel Center in its prophetic location in Waco, Texas, USA. Later after his death, however, there emerged more General Associations of Davidian SDA in several places. To this end, prior to his death Bro. Houteff has ever warned us as follows :

“Everything that can be done against God’s message of today will be done with even a greater vengeance than was manifest against Heaven’s message in the days of Christ’s first advent, for the Devil knows that if he loses now, he loses forever — that he is to have no other chance. Unparalleled, therefore, is the urgency that every eleventh-hour church member now quickly and solidly brace himself against the Enemy’s effort to deliver a knockout blow. We must be alert, too, to realize that the blow is to come from surprisingly unsuspected foes — from professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the priests in Christ’s day.” — The White House Recruiter, p. 33.

The facts now are clear, that the Enemy has successfully delivered his two knockout blows against the leadership in Texas : the first blow was delivered after the death of Houteff in 1955 up to 1991, and the second one was after 1991 up to now. The two blows seemed enough to have knocked out for good the leadership in Texas. And this is to be proven from the following facts :

(a) “Many who have taught in My name, said Jesus, will be found wanting at last. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name ? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you ; depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.” Quoted from the Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 4.

The only people in the time of the end, who have the capacity to prophesy or to teach the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY are the Present truth believers of Davidian SDA.

(b) Explanation in the Timely Greetings, vol. 1, No. 43, pp. 13 – 15.

Isaiah 63 : 3 – 5 — “I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with Me : for I will tread them in Mine anger, and trample them in My fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon My garments, and I will stain all My raiment. For the day of vengeance is in Mine heart, and the year of My redeemed is come. And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold : therefore Mine own arm brought salvation unto Me; and My fury, it upheld Me.”

The statements, “I have trodden the winepress alone,” “I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold“ (all in the past tense) show the Saviour’s zeal and determination to save His misled people at His first advent, though there was no one with Him to help; that is, all the priests and religious leaders – the General Conference of His day (the Sanhedrin) were against Him instead of helping Him in His work. But the statements, “for I will tread them in Mine anger, and trample them in My fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon My garments, and I will stain all My raiment; for the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed is come“; and “I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold : therefore Mine Own arm brought salvation unto Me; and My fury, it upheld Me (all in future tense) — show the present church’s condition not only equally as bad as at His first coming, but even much worse. How true that history repeats ! As the day of vengeance approaches, those who are supposed to uphold and help in the work of redemption, the ministers and religious leaders, the antitypical Sanhedrin of today (the General Conference) are seen to be hindering, standing in His way of reaching the people. Thus they incur His displeasure, and necessarily He girds Himself to free His people from the hands of the unfaithful shepherds. They cause Him to stain His garments with their blood as He tramples them in His fury.

Isaiah 63 : 6 —“And I will tread down the people in Mine anger, and make them drunk in My fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.”

The Lord’s brief explanation of the situation is amplified by the prophet Ezekiel. Says He :

“He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brazen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which has the writer’s inkhorn by his side; And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.” — Ezekiel 9 : 1 – 6.

Ezekiel’s prophecy plainly reveals that this cleansing work takes place in the church (Jerusalem), in the time to separate the unfaithful from among the faithful, the time to destroy the “tares” (Matthew 13 : 30), to cast out the bad fish (Matthew 13 : 47 – 49), to purify the church (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 80), to purify the ministry (Malachi 3 : 1 – 3); to cleanse the sanctuary (Daniel 8 : 14) — the Judgment work for the Living. The Spirit of Prophecy in our day has this to say :

“……But the days of purification of the church are hastening on apace. God will have a people pure and true. In the mighty sifting soon to take place, we shall be better able to measure the strength of Israel. The signs reveal that the time is near when the Lord will manifest that his fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor ……….

“Here we see that the church — the Lord’s sanctuary — was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light, and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God’s power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say, The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus peace and safety is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God’s people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs, that would not bark, are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children, all perish together.” – Testimonies, vol. 5, pp. 80, 211.

And the Apostle Peter adds : “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God : and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God ? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” – 1 Peter 4, 17, 18.

Since God’s people of today are not in the land of Edom, south of Palestine, but are scattered throughout the earth, and since the Lord is to slay their enemies in order to free them, the truth is obvious : These are antitypical Edom and Bozrah.

After Esau of old sold his birthright for a mess of pottage he was called Edom; and the name Bozrah means “sheepfold.” Plainly, then, the Edomites of Isaiah 63 : 1 are those who in our day have sold their birthright, and who at the same time are persecuting (as did Esau persecute Jacob) those who have bought it, so to speak. Thus it is that as God’s people had to be delivered from the Sanhedrin in Christ’s day, they must now be delivered from the General Conference, the antitypical Edomite brethren, in order to be led into all Truth, and into their fathers’ land.

The words, “the year of My redeemed is come,” and “the day of vengeance is in Mine heart,” clearly says that the Lord’s strange work in Edom and Bozrah is the day of vengeance and a sign of antitypical Israel’s (the church purified) returning to the homeland.” — Timely Greetings, vol. 1, No. 43, pp. 13 – 15.

N o t e !

Despite Houteff, in his explanation on Isaiah 63 : 3 – 5 (above) has mentioned only the General Conference of SDA to be the antitypical Sanhedrin of today, it does not mean the General Conference will be the only and the last Sanhedrin of today when the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 is to be fulfilled. The fulfillment of the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 is yet in the future, whereas the General Conference has to have been re-organized into the General Association of Davidian SDA in 1935, to meet the Call for a spiritual revival and reformation by Mrs. White in the Review and Herald, February 25, 1902.

Even the General Association of Davidian SDA, the Mount Carmel Center in Texas, is to meet the prophetic words of Isaiah 63 : 3 – 5. They are just the antitypical Sanhedrin of today. And this is the reason why prior to his death the servant of the Lord has warned us in the following words : We must be alert, too, to realize that the blow is to come from surprisingly unsuspected foes — from professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the priests in Christ’s day.” — The White House Recruiter, p. 33.

Those professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the Jewish priests of the former Sanhedrin, are the unsuspected foes of the present Sanhedrin in Waco, Texas.

“Here you note that when the time came there was not even one among His servants” (the Sanhedrin of today) to “uphold” the work of the harvest, and consequently the Lord Himself did the work without them.”

The anti-typical Sanhedrin in the time of the end does not mean only the General Conference of SDA, but even the reorganized body of the General Conference of SDA as well, which is the General Association of Davidian SDA, whose piety is no less than were the priests in the time of Jesus. It is, therefore, more fittingly to be called the antitypical Sanhedrin in the time of the end. If the Sanhedrin in the time of Jesus’ first advent has been symbolized in the prophecy of Isaiah 63 by EDOM, whereas BOZRAH means “sheepfold”, BOZRAH would inevitably represent Jesus and His twelve disciples. Read again the TIMELY GREETINGS, Vol.1 No. 43 entitled THE YEAR OF HIS REDEEMED ….THE SIGN OF THE DAY OF VENGEANCE. As well as in the first advent of the Lord the harvest has been accomplished in both EDOM and BOZRAH, then in the coming day of vengeance the same harvest in its antitype will be accomplished through the process as those prophesied in Ezekiel 9. EDOM and BOZRAH in this time of the end will meet their antitypes in the General Conference of SDA and all its followers, and the General Association of Davidian SDA in Texas and its people. The types will meet their anti-types perfectly according to the prophecy of Isaiah 63 presented us by the servant of the Lord, Bro. Houteff.

(d) And the work of the harvest consequently will be accomplished by the Lord Himself with those who were beforehand standing idle in the market place. In regard to this last company the servant of the Lord said :

“The humble, consecrated believer upon whom the Master of the vineyard places a burden for souls is to be given encouragement by the men upon whom the Lord has laid larger responsibilities. Those who stand as leaders in the church of God are to realize that the Saviour’s commission is given to all who believe in His name. God will send forth into His vineyard many who have not been dedicated to the ministry by the laying on of hands.”— The Acts of the Apostles, p. 110.

This company will be the last true Davidians indeed. They will be the result of sifting from among the Davidian SDA Associations in the world, when the chaff categorized ones have been sifted out. This is what Sister White ever said:

“God will arouse His people; if other means fail, heresies will come in among them, which will s i f t them, separating the c h a f f (not tares) from the w h e a t. The Lord calls upon all who believe His word to awake out of sleep (to recover from their knockout blows). Precious light has come, appropriate for this time. It is Bible truth, showing the perils that are right upon us. This light should lead us to a diligent study of the Scriptures and a most critical examination of the positions which we hold.” – 5 Testimonies for the Church, pp. 707 – 708. (In brackets added)

God will arouse His present Truth believers

On the present Truth believers or the Davidian SDA in this time of the end, Brother Houteff warned :

“Man has long been exalting himself; so much so, in fact, that there are perhaps only a few Christians in the world that are really following “the light of the Lord.” Most of them are following sparks of men, following uninspired interpretations of the Scriptures, — devisings of men, men who scoff at the idea of Inspiration; they see no need of more Truth or of prophets, although they well know that the only Truth that has ever come has been through chosen servants of God. Even present Truth believers have not as yet fully awakened to this startling revelation, many of them are carried away with every wind of doctrine, much of which is created by impostors such as Korah, Dathan and Abiram (Number 16 : 9 – 11) coveting Moses’ office — usurpers of Inspiration’s Throne — taking sides, one for Paul and another for Apollos, as it were ! Inspiration’s eye focusing to this day and message, reveals that much of this self deception is the result of what the Spirit describes, a double face hypocrisy, saying : “Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord. And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as My people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them : for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument : for they hear thy words, but they do them not. And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come) then shall they know that a prophet has been among them.” Ezekiel 33 : 30 – 33. We need to be doers of the Word not merely hearers.”

Isaiah 2 : 12, 13, 15, 16 — “For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low : and upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,……..and upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall, and upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.”

“These are of course figurative expressions, referring to proud and self- sufficient men who in the people’s eyes are as the cedars of Lebanon, and as the oaks of Bashan.

Isaiah 2 : 17 – 20 —“And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low : and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. And the idols He shall utterly abolish. And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of His majesty, when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth. In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats.”

“What idols are to be abolished ? — Idols that walk. They are, therefore, men whom the people idolize. They, and those who idolize them will run into “the holes of the rocks, and unto the caves of the earth.” Only those that cast out the idols shall be spared. In these verses three kinds of idols are mentioned : (1) works of men’s hands, (2) men that are revered, (3) gold and the silver that are worshiped. These shall be abolished, there are to be idols no more.” – Quoted from the Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 5, pp. 14 – 15.”

From historical facts the world has ever witnessed only one General Association of Davidian SDA in Waco, Texas, with Brother Victor T. Houteff as its founder. They have made tremendous progresses in several places in the world, and the message has penetrated deep in many places in Laodicea. As soon as after the death of the humble servant of the Lord in 1955, the Devil has successfully delivered his knockout blows to those left at the Top of Carmel. The Top of Carmel was then liquidated and dissolved in 1962 for several years, until later it was again return to the present ownership in 1991.

Ever since the absence of Bro. Houteff, however, there have been established several Headquarters of Davidian SDA in USA, such as (1) The Branch Davidian SDA in Elk, Texas, (2) The General Association of Davidian SDA / Mount Carmel Center in Salem, South Caroline, (3) The General Association of Davidian SDA/ Mount Carmel Center in Mountain dale New York, and several others more in United States of America. All of them professed themselves to represent God and His Truth for this time of the end, and accommodating the present truth believers everywhere in the world, who were scattered after the dissolution of the Top of Carmel in 1962.

With these historical facts in mind you could now read carefully the above teachings by Houteff in The Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 5, pp. 14 – 15. And you may know that the present Truth believers in this time of the end are none other than the Davidian SDA only. They are now affiliated with several Headquarters of the so-called Davidian SDA in America.

Those affiliated with the Top of Carmel Headquarters, are now being misled by the antitypical Sanhedrin of the time of the end. in Waco, Texas, USA. Whereas the others, who are now being members of the other General Associations of Davidian SDA outside Waco, Texas, have unwittingly been affiliated with the antitypical Korahs, Dathans, and Abirams of the last days. In regard to these peoples Brother Houteff said :

”Even present Truth believers have not as yet fully awakened to this startling revelation, many of them are carried away with every wind of doctrine, much of which is created by impostors such as Korah, Dathan and Abiram (Number 16 : 9 – 11) coveting Moses’ office — usurpers of Inspiration’s Throne — taking sides, one for Paul and another for Apollos, as it were !”

That is, present Truth believers have not as yet fully awakened from their two times knockout blows (look at the diagram), even up to this very day. And that is the reason why they are now implicated in the sin of idolizing the “idols that walk” to think for their salvation, instead of digging deep into the message for themselves to find their way out. And this is just the reason why the Lord through His mouth piece, Mrs. White, did ever warned us as follows :

“…………God will use ways and means by which it will be seen that He is taking the reins in His own hands. The workers will be surprised by the simple means that He will use to bring about and perfect His work of righteousness.” – Testimonies to Ministers, p. 300. (Quoted from the White-House Recruiter, p. 43)

God must inevitably take the reins in His own hands, because He is not only Lord of the Top of Carmel in Waco, Texas and its people, but even of the other present Truth believers as well, who have not as yet fully awakened (fully recovered) from their two times knockout blows, so that “many of them are carried away with every wind of doctrine, much of which is created by impostors such as Korah, Dathan and Abiram (Number 16 : 9 – 11) coveting Moses’ office — usurpers of Inspiration’s Throne — taking sides, one for Paul and another for Apollos, as it were !”

Present Truth believers must first be sifted

“Precious light has come, appropriate for this time !” Enlightened by the precious light the Laodicean church must suffer two times separation : First to take place is the separation of those categorized five wise virgins or wheat from the five foolish ones or t a r e s in the SDA Church. This is formally realized in 1935 when the Top of Carmel for the first time was established in Waco, Texas. USA. Second separation to take place is the sifting which is now going on under the same enlightenment of the precious light which is truly appropriate for this time.

In this process of sifting which is to take place after the death of Houteff, the separation is to occur in the midst of the categorized wise virgins, or among the wheat themselves. Hence, those who are to be sifted out will be a number of those wise virgins themselves, or a waste part of the wheat to be put out, which is the c h a f f. For a more positive interpretation of the chaff, however, the servant of the Lord has ever warned us as follows :

“Teachers should copy the example of the Great Teacher, who from the familiar scenes of nature drew illustrations that simplified His teaching, and impressed them more deeply upon the minds of His hearers. The birds caroling in the leafy branches, the flowers of the valley, the lofty trees, the fruitful lands, the springing grain, the barren soil, the setting sun gilding the heavens with its golden beams, —- all served as means of instruction. He connected the visible works of the Creator with the words of life which He spoke, that whenever these objects should be presented to the eyes of His hearers, their thoughts might revert to the lessons of truth He had linked with them.” – Patriarchs and Prophets, pp. 596, 599.

We must, therefore, be very careful against those who deliberately tried to manipulate the meaning of the c h a f f, by likening it to the t a r e s. This should have been understood because “the idols that walk” would try by all means to have this truth concealed, that the people might always idolize them to think for their salvation. To liken the chaff to the tares is certainly not at all natural.

Things Preventing God from disclosing to view

His now obscure 144.000 first fruits servants

“We must be alert, too, to realize that the blow is to come from surprisingly unsuspected foes from professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the priests in Christ’s day. It is, moreover, but to be expected that the Adversary will employ every agency possible to prevent the Lord from disclosing to view His now obscure 144.000 first fruit servants, who are to go gather in the second fruits (Revelation 7 : 9). The Enemy will try everything conceivable to confuse, becloud, and cover up the Truth, especially on the subject of the 144.000.” — The White House Recruiter, p. 33.

With the precious light now shining in our midst, let us be led to a diligent study and a most critical examination of the positions which we now hold. The Adversary is still employing every agency possible to prevent the Lord from disclosing to view His now obscure 144.000 servants. That is, as long as you and me are not quickly to free ourselves from worshipping the idols, the 144.000 servants could not be disclosed to view in the near future. The Lord has given us privileges to act to hasten the disclosure of His most obscure servants in the following words :

“Not upon the ordained minister only rests the responsibility of going forth to fulfill this commission. Everyone who has received Christ is called to work for the salvation of his fellow men. “The Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hear say, Come.” Revelation 22 : 17. “The humble, consecrated believer upon whom the Master of the vineyard places a burden for souls is to be given encouragement by the men upon whom the Lord has laid larger responsibilities. …….. God will send forth into His vineyard many who have not been dedicated to the ministry by the laying on of hands.” — The Acts of the Apostles, p. 110. (in brackets added).

“The humble, consecrated (present Truth) believer upon whom the Master of the vineyard places a burden for souls is to be given encouragement by the men upon whom the Lord has laid larger responsibilities.” This is to show that our people must first see eye to eye, having the same mind, and speaking the same things, because they must first be able to show themselves to be directed under the guidance of the same Spirit of Truth. Thus is how the Lord will empower them that His parabolic word, “For many be called, but few (only 144.000) chosen,” will soon be realized, that the harvest will take not too long time hence to accomplish.

“For many be called, but few chosen.”

(Matthew 20 : 16)

Present Truth believers positively know that the parabolic words, “For many be called, but few chosen,” means that only a small number of 144.000 servants of God will be chosen from among a greater number of people, who are to be saved by the message in the Church. Due to the fact that the number of present Truth believers in the world today is so small, not as yet 5.000 in number approximately, it is unavoidably to conclude that the parabolic words mentioned above are not as yet fulfilled up to this very day. Lack of power of the Holy Spirit to keep unity of faith among present Truth believers to win souls for the Lord ever since 1955, seemed to be the main obstacle up to now. And this is leading to the absence of the ability of the people to see eye to eye, to have the same mind, and speaking the same things.

Now, therefore, with these articles presented to you, it is our prayer that you may immediately understand that “many be called and few chosen” are soon to be disclosed to view as the pure wheat, which shall have been completely sifted from its chaff. Or in other words : they will soon be disclosed to view as wise virgins, who will have been separated from the ones who have guiles in their mouths. The servant of the Lord said :

“Then, too, the spiritual “latter rain” must fall as freely and without cost to the recipients as does literal rain. Thus it is that never before has the world witnessed so much absolutely free literature scattered away as this literature is. Millions ! So it is that these small comprehensive publications, the bright clouds, laden with present Truth, are now being scattered as leaves of autumn throughout Laodicea to every church member, “to every one grass” in the vineyard of the Lord. The final results ? “More than one thousand,” attests Inspiration, “will soon be converted in one day, most of whom will trace their first convictions to the reading of our publications.” – Review and Herald, Nov. 10, 1885.“ – Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 17, p. 5.

Millions of present Truth publications have been scattered in Laodicean Church ever since the time of Houteff. And then more that one thousand will soon be converted every day. Most of them will trace their first convictions to the reading of the publications. And the time is now ripe for them to take their stand with the Lord , to join His present Truth believers who are themselves now freed from all their idols. Under the same spirit of Truth they all will be called to come out, either from the idols of the General Conference leadership or from the idols they usually worship at the Top of Carmel in Waco, Texas, or from under the idols of those Korahs, Dathams, and Abirams in America and elsewhere. These all will soon be converted every day, up to the day when the harvest will be accomplished. And then only a number of 144.000 out of them all will be worthy to be the living saints. All others who have been called by the Lord and His Spirit of Truth, prior to the time of Jacob trouble, shall be laid in the dust of the earth to die temporarily up to the time the Kingdom is established. Then will they be resurrected in the special resurrection of the prophecy of Daniel 12 : 2. Regarding this resurrection Mrs. White said :

“Your work, my work, will not cease with this life. For a little while we may rest in the grave, but, when the call comes, we shall, in the kingdom of God. Take up our work once more.” – Testimonies for the Church, vol. 7, p. 17.

And Brother Houteff added :

“All that are found members of the church a t the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 will either receive the seal and be o f the 144.000, or else be left without and fall under the slaughter weapons of the five men. Only those who “sigh and cry for all the abominations” in the church will escape from the destruction.” – The Symbolic Code , Vol. 1, No. 11, 12, p. 9.

That is, at the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 only the 144.000 saints of God could have escaped the destruction, whereas all the rest of the living multitude of Seventh-day Adventist shall be destroyed.

At the accomplishment of the Harvest

Back to the Symbolic Code, Vol. 1, No. 14, August 1935 pages 5 – 7 Brother Houteff said :

Due to the fact that God acknowledges only o n e Mount Carmel Center in its prophetic location in Waco, Texas, USA, then the habitations of the shepherds of the Carmel pastures must inevitably represent all the associations of Present truth believers in the world of the Laodiceans today, who are now affiliated with the Headquarters of the General Association of Davidian SDA in Waco, Texas. So, the Top of Carmel will be in Waco, Texas, USA, and the Carmel pastures would have been spread unto all the ends of the world of the Laodiceans wherever the present truth publications have ever been presented.

At the accomplishment of the harvest, most of the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn and bewailing after discovering that for so long time they have been misled by their own shepherds. This means, not only Present truth believers that are affiliated with the Top of Carmel Headquarters in Texas shall mourn, but even all the Laodiceans as well, who will have been awaken to the fact that all of them have been misled by their own ministers, whom they have idolized for a long time to think for their salvation. We have been ever since warned by the servant of the Lord in the following words :

“Loud wailing cries were heard in every direction. “It was you who kept me from receiving the truth, which would have saved me from this awful hour.” The people turned upon their ministers with bitter hate and reproached them, saying, “You have not warned us. You told us that all the world was to be converted, and cried, Peace, peace, to quiet every fear that was aroused. You have not told us of this hour ; and those who warned us of it you declared to be fanatics and evil men, who would ruin us.” But I saw that the ministers did not escape the wrath of God. Their suffering was t e n f o l d g r e a t e r than that of their people.” – The Early Writings, p. 282.

As the harvest is to reach its accomplishment in 2027, whereas those “many be called, but few chosen” are yet to be disclosed to view, we may rest assured that the result of the harvest at its accomplishment in the future, will be those two groups of people : the 144.000 living saints on the first place, and the many others out of whom a special company of the living saints would be chosen. (Matthew 20 : 16).

The Lord wants us also to know that at the accomplishment of the harvest He was obliged to act alone, there was not even one among His servants “to uphold” the work of harvest. The servant of the Lord said :

“The Son of man Himself obviously reaps the first fruits because His servants (figuratively the angel of the church of the Laodiceans) are in no condition to do such a work, for they themselves are “wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked,” and know it not (Revelation 3 : 14 – 18).

Looking down to this very time, the Spirit of Prophecy in Isaiah’s day said :

Isaiah 63 : 5 —“And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold : therefore Mine own arm brought salvation unto Me; and My fury, it upheld Me.”

Here you note that when the time came there was not even one among His servants “to uphold” the work of harvest, and consequently the Lord Himself did the work without them.—Timely Greetings, Vol. 2, No. 44, pp. 37, 38.

And consequently as the Lord Himself has declared :

This is to be fulfilled as those specified in the prophecy of Ezekiel 9. Not only the shepherds of the General Conference of SDA, nor only those antitypical Korahs, Dathans, and Abirams, but even the shepherds of the habitations of Carmel pastures as well. “Their suffering was t e n f o l d g r e a t e r than that of their people.” – The Early Writings, p. 282.
