Vanguard and Its Army.

Who are they ?

In the booklet entitled “The Leviticus of The Davidian Seventh-Day Adventists, page 3, we read the following statement by Brother Victor T. Houteff as here below :

“The name, Davidian, deriving from the name of the king of Ancient Israel, accrues to this Association by reason of its following aspects : First, it is dedicated to the work of announcing and bringing forth the restoration (as predicted in Hosea 1 : 11; 3 : 5) of David’s kingdom in antitype, upon the throne of which Christ, “the son of David,” is to sit. Second, it purports itself to be the first of the first fruits of the living, the vanguard from among the present-day descendants of those Jews who composed the Early Christian Church. With the emergence of this vanguard and its army, the first fruits, from which are elected the 12.000 out of each of the twelve tribes of Jacob, “the 144.000” (Revelation 14 : 1; 7 : 2 – 8) who stand on Mount Zion with the Lamb (Rev. 14 : 1; 7 : 2 – 8), the reign of antitypical David begins.”– The Leviticus of The Davidian SDA, p. 3.

Since the prophecy that predicts the coming Davidic kingdom and its first citizens of the 144.000 was just beginning to be revealed by Brother Houteff in 1929, then they who are to be the first to meet the fulfillment of the above prophetic statement would unavoidably be Brother Houteff himself and all his followers. Houteff as the prophet and his fellow members of the divinely appointed ministry would be the first of the first fruits of the living, whereas their followers would be their army. According to his own statement above, either the first of the first fruits of the living or the vanguard, or their army, all of them are to be included in the first fruits of the living.

Those leading at the Headquarters of the Mount Carmel Center in Texas as its permanent location for the publication of the message to the Laodiceans, would be the first of the first fruits harvest in the Church, whereas their army would be found scattered in many places in the Davidian in the Seventh – day Adventist churches in the world. It is the army, which in the prophetic words of prophet Amos is called “the habitations of the shepherds.” Read Amos 1 : 2 and the interpretations thereof in The Symbolic Code, Vol. 1, No. 14 (August 1935)

Nevertheless, since Brother Houteff as the mouthpiece of the Lord is no more alive now, and even since the ownership of the Mount Carmel Center in Texas has ever been changed for a certain period of nearly 30 years until 1991, and also since there have been established several more Headquarters of Davidian SDA, calling themselves by the same Mount Carmel Center in the USA, it now becomes more complicated to know who are truly worthy to be called the Vanguard and its army at this time.

After observing up to the details the spiritual condition of the Mount Carmel Center of the Lord at its permanent location in Waco, Texas, after the death of Houteff, the prophet in 1955, up to now, I wish to quote to you the following warning issued by Sister White, when she said :

I have provided to every Truth seekers herewith a complete report on the observation through the following articles:

a. When and Why is God taking the reins in His own hands?

b. At the Accomplishment of the Harvest

c. No More Need of the General Conference of SDA, nor of the

General Association of Davidian SDA, nor of anything the like.

May the Lord help you to have them fully comprehended.

And now for questioning, who are truly legally worthy at this time to be called, “God’s latter-day Vanguard” of the first fruits of the living and their army, we suggest you to turn again to the prophecy of Zechariah 6 : 1 – 8 and its interpretation as provided us by Bro. Victor T. Houteff in his booklet entitled : THE GREAT PARADOX OF THE AGES.

Here the same question may arise : Who are truly legally worthy at this time to be represented by the bay horses (the Vanguard) and those in the chariot (the army of the Vanguard)?

The Prophecy of Zechariah 6 : 1 – 8

In a Glance

The prophecy of Zechariah 6 : 1 – 8 has been interpreted by the servant of the Lord, Brother Victor T. Houteff in the booklet entitled : THE GREAT PARADOX OF THE AGES. This prophecy illustrated before us two great Mountains of Brass that have been separated by a very large valley in between. The prophet said :

“And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountain of brass. In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses. And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses. Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, what are these, my Lord ? And the angel answered and said unto me : These are the four spirits of the heavens which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. The black horses which are therein go forth into the North Country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country. And the bay went forth and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: And he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth. Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold these that go toward the North Country have quieted my spirit in the

North Country.” – Zechariah 6 : 1 – 8.

Coming out of the valley there were four chariots which came one after another. This prophecy gives us an illustration of the two great mountains of brass, which were separated from each other by a very large valley. From the valley came out four chariots one after the other. The very unique of them is the fourth chariot, because it has two pairs of horses, the grisled horses which went forth toward the south country, and the bay horses which went forth and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth. Every present truth believer, though, would have been familiar with this prophecy, but we suggest you to find again the prophetic story as revealed by the author himself in his booklet entitled : THE GREAT PARADOKS OF THE AGES.

The servant of the Lord, Brother Victor T. Houteff, has divided this world history into three main periods of time. The first period represented by GOLD is to cover the world history from the Creation up to the Flood. The second period represented by SILVER is from the Flood up to the Crucifixion of Jesus, and the third period represented by BRASS is from the Crucifixion of Jesus up to His second coming in the sky. The metallic objects, which in the prophecy represent periods of time, are likewise to the metallic great image of the prophecy of Daniel chapter 2. that represents the world history. Thus the great mountains of Brass of the prophecy of Zechariah would unavoidably meet their fulfillment in the Christian era.

(1) The Mountains of Brass

Mountain in itself represents the Church. As the mountain is of brass, which is one of the hardest metallic stuff ever known among men, then the first mountain of brass would inevitably represent the Christian Church at its early prime spiritual condition, during the first Pentecost… It was during the first Pentecost when the early Christians were enjoying the Spirit of Early Rain in its fullness, they were having the capacity to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom successfully in its purity with kindred tongues and power. Thus by itself could it be understood that the second mountain of brass would be the same Church of God in the future, that after “being purified, and made white, and tried” (Daniel 12 : 10) to drive out from her midst the foolish virgins, or the tares and the chaff, or the bad fish, or the goat, or anything the like, will then emerge immediately to be the 144.000 elected saints of God in the Kingdom in Palestine. During the second Pentecost in the future under the pouring down of the Spirit of latter Rain, the special company may again enjoy the Spirit of God in its fullness. In the full power of the Spirit they will again be enabled to speak with kindred tongues, to accomplish the proclamation of the gospel of the Kingdom unto the entire world in only about four years. Under the full power of the Spirit of the latter Rain the Church will be truly strong and fitly to be symbolized by the second mountain of brass.

(2) The Chariots and Their Horses

Brother Houteff said that the chariots represent the members of the Church, who are under the leadership of the horses. Due to the fact that there are four chariots, then the fulfillment of their presence must be traced after the first century.

The horses of the first chariot have the color of red. Red signifies bloodshed. That is the reason why the leadership of the first chariot is those who suffered persecution by the Roman oppressive power before year 538.

The horses of the second chariot have the color of black. This is to signify the Church of God in bondage during the Dark Ages of Religion between 538 and 1798. This is the period of persecution by the Roman Catholic Church and the Papacy.

The horses of the third chariot have the color of white. Since the black color signifies bondage and persecution, then the white color must in contrary signifies freedom. Thus following the period of bondage and persecution during the Dark Ages of Religion, then after 1798 is the period of freedom. This is the period benefited by William Miller, the reformer, up to 1844.

At the fourth chariot we have two pairs of horses, the grisled horses on the one side and the bay horses on the other side. This fourth chariot is to meet its fulfillment beginning in 1844 up to the establishment of the Kingdom represented by the second mountain of brass in the future. This is the Laodicean Church of God which is the last of the seven prophetic Churches of Revelation 2 and 3. At the termination of this last Church, the Kingdom represented by the second mountain of brass will be ushered in.

(3) The fourth Chariot and its two pairs of Horses

Differ from the other Churches before it (the Protestant, the Presbyterian, the Methodist, the Baptist, and the Millerite); this last Church of the Laodiceans seems to be no more divided into two or more denominations. But there are to arise from within the Church itself two leaderships to be represented by the grisled horses on the one side and the bay horses on the other side .This means at the fulfillment of this prophecy of Zechariah 6 the people in the chariot will be led by only two pairs of horses. This is also to meet the division of the Church as laid out in the parable of Jesus : the wise virgin and the foolish ones, or the wheat and the tares, or the good fish and the bad fish, or the goat and the sheep. Thus is the Laodiceans Church representing the Kingdom of God on earth now in the time of the end with two leaderships in it. Look at the picture!

Who are they represented by the bay horses ?

“……….; and the grisled go forth toward the south country. And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth : and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.”— Zechariah 6 : 6, 7.

(1) The grisled horses

Every Present Truth Believer would have understood that the grisled horses represent the leadership of the General Conference of SDA, which is the angel of the Church of the Laodiceans; that due to their spiritual lukewarm ness they have taken the chariot to go forth toward the south country. The south country in this prophecy is Egypt, which represents heathenism. On the contrary, the North Country is Babylon, which represents the fallen Christian World ever since the time of William Miller, to meet the prophecy of the proclamation of the second angel of Revelation 14 : 8. The servant of the Lord, Mrs. White, had ever issued a warning in 1882 in the following words :

“I am filled with sadness when I think of our condition as a people. The Lord has not closed heaven to us, but our own course of continual backsliding has separated us from God. ………….The Church has turned back from following Christ her Leader and is steadily retreating toward Egypt. Yet few are alarmed or astonished at their want of spiritual power. Doubt, and even disbelief of the testimonies of the Spirit of God, is leavening our churches everywhere. Satan would have it thus. Ministers who preach self instead of Christ would have it thus. The testimonies are unread and unappreciated. God has spoken to you. Light has been shining from His word and from the testimonies, and both have been slighted and disregarded. The result is apparent in the lack of purity and devotion and earnest faith among us.” — 5 Testimonies, p. 217. (1882)

And at last, as shown from the prophecy itself, the angel of the Church of the Laodiceans was spewed out of Jesus’ mouth in 1935. This coincides with the establishment of the re-organized General Conference, which is the General Association of Davidian SDA at Waco,

Texas, USA. Nevertheless, since the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 is yet to be fulfilled in the future, then the grisled horses would yet be spared to do whatever they can up to the purification of the Church in the future.

(2) The Bay Horses

Since the bay horses went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth, the horses must unavoidably represent Church leadership of the future. They are to be the 144.000 living saints of God in the future, who are to come up from the purification of the Church as prophesied in Ezekiel 9.

Now, however, since those 144.000 living saints of God are not as yet disclosed to view, then the prophetic words of Zechariah 6 : 6, 7 would not as yet fully fulfilled. That means, though the grisled horses have now been identified among us, to represent the leadership of the General Conference of SDA and all its ministers in the world, the bay horses are not as yet clear enough whom they represent. This is yet to be more complicated when those General Associations of Davidian SDA in the USA who acknowledge themselves to be the true Mount Carmel

Center, would think themselves to be represented by the bay horses. Now, the horses are still moving at the same place, without making any progress.

The Bay Horses represent

the Lord’s latter-day Vanguard

Let us read again the statement by Brother Houteff as presented here below,

“With the emergence of this vanguard and its army, the first fruits, from which are elected the 12.000 out of each of the twelve tribes of Jacob, “the 144.000” (Rev. 14 : 1; 7 : 2 – 8) who stand on Mount Zion with the Lamb (Rev. 14 : 1; 7 : 2 – 8), the reign of the antitypical David begins.”— The Leviticus of The Davidian SDA, p. 3.

With the emergence of this vanguard (the bay horses) and its army (in the chariot) ever since the establishment of the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, USA in 1935, then the prophecy of Zechariah chapter 6 began to meet its fulfillment. Thus ever since the outset in 1935, Brother Victor T. Houteff as the prophet and his evangelists, pastors and teachers, as his fellows of divinely appointed ministry, they were the first to meet the fulfillment of the bay horses. And all the Present Truth believers of their time represent the chariot.

With the passing away of Houteff in 1955, however, even up to this very day, the Enemy has successfully sent his two times knockout blows upon those divinely appointed ministry left in Mount Carmel Center in Texas. Do you know what happened with the Present Truth Believers affiliated with the Mount Carmel Center later up to now ? Brother Houteff ever wrote :

“Even present Truth believers have not as yet fully awakened to this startling revelation, many of them are carried away with every wind of doctrine, much of which is created by impostors such as Korah, Dathan and Abiram (Number 16 : 9 – 11) coveting Moses’ office — usurpers of Inspiration’s Throne — taking sides, one for Paul and another for Apollos, as it were !” – 1 Timely Greetings, No. 5, p. 14.

That is, many of them who are not yet fully awakened from the knockout blows are later carried away with every wind of doctrine, much of which created by those who have established several more Mount Carmel Centers in several places in America. The impostors such as Korah, Dathan, and Abiram would also be sure to be deemed worthy to be represented by the Lord’s vanguard. Whereas regarding the divinely appointed ministry leading at the true Carmel Center in

Texas the servant of the Lord has warned :

“Everything that can be done against God’s message of today will be done with even a greater vengeance than was manifest against Heaven’s message in the days of Christ’s first advent, for the Devil knows that if he loses now, he loses forever — that he is to have no other chance. Unparalleled, therefore, is the urgency that every eleventh-hour church member now quickly and solidly brace himself against the Enemy’s effort to deliver a knockout blow. We must be alert, too, to realize that the blow is to come from surprisingly unsuspected foes — from professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the priests in Christ’s day. It is, moreover, but to be expected that the Adversary will employ every agency possible to prevent the Lord from disclosing to view His now obscure 144.000 first fruit servants, who are to go gather in the second fruits (Revelation 7 : 9). The Enemy will try everything conceivable to confuse, becloud, and cover up the Truth, especially on the subject of the 144.000.” — The White House Recruiter, p. 33.

This means positively clear that after the two times knockout blows have successfully paralyzed the leadership of Mount Carmel Center in Texas, after 1991, the Lord would have taken the rein of His flock in His own hands. And now the time has come that the following statement by Mrs. Ellen G. White would be fully fulfilled when she said :

“Not upon the ordained minister only rests the responsibility of going forth to fulfill this commission. Everyone who has received Christ is called to work for the salvation of his fellow men. ……………………

“The humble, consecrated believer upon whom the Master of the vineyard places a burden for souls is to be given encouragement by the men upon whom the Lord has laid larger responsibilities. Those who stand as leaders in the church of God (the leadership of Mount Carmel

Center) are to realize that the Saviour’s commission is given to all who believe in His name. God will send forth into His vineyard many who have not been dedicated to the ministry by the laying on of hands.” — The Acts of the Apostles, p. 110. (in brackets added)

The Lord would have appointed His new ministry out from among those standing idle in the market place. Matthew 20 : 6, 7. This is the divinely appointed ministry of the eleventh hour call. This is indeed a unique ministry, because they are not dedicated to the ministry by the laying on of hands by Mount Carmel Center leadership. Even without laying on of hands at all, because the Lord would have no more Mount Carmel Center nor anything the like, that is to represent Him here on earth at these late hours of probation.

The ministry of the eleventh hour call, however, will always be in full accord, because under the guidance of the Holy Spirit they would always see eye to eye, having the same mind, and speaking the same things. They come out from among many associations of Present Truth Believers in the fields, who are now scattered in many places in the Davidian. Though scattered in many places, but firmly united in the faith. And this is the condition that enables them to be represented by the bay horses of Zechariah’s prophecy and the Lord’s latter-day v a n g u a r d.

Their main function as laid out by the apostle Paul is (1) For the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, and (2) for edifying the body of Christ. Read Ephesians 4 : 11 – 14. So the ministry of the eleventh-hour call will have their followers. As well as the vanguard has its followers, and the bay horses have the chariot, so is the ministry of the eleventh-hour call to have their “body of Christ”.

After Satan has successfully delivered his two consecutive knockout blows upon the leadership of Mount Carmel Center in Texas, it is clear now that the Enemy has gained control there for good. The professed friends of the Gospel, whose piety could be relied upon ever since, just now become narrow-minded fundamentalists likewise to the Jewish priests in the time of Jesus. Therefore many Present Truth believers are not as yet aware that they are again now under the control of the antitypical Sanhedrin of the past. Who is able to suppose that the Enemy is now trying everything conceivable through the narrow-mindedness of the professed friends of the Gospel to confuse, becloud, and cover up the Truth, especially on the subject of the 144.000?

Don’t you ever suppose that the failure to reveal those wise virgins with guile in the mouth, and the failure to sift out the chaff categorized people from the wheat categorized ones, would have affected very serious to the teaching of the 144.000?

Attention! The subject : “Many be called, but few chosen”, of Matthew 20 : 16 have been mentioned in several modes. Since the meaning is same, that we suggest to you herewith the following similarities :

to produce the v a n g u a r d and its a r m y

Ever since the beginning in 1929 the Present Truth itself has sifted us the Laodiceans into two main camps : the wise virgins or the wheat on the one side, and the foolish virgins or the tares on the other side. This is the result of the first s i f t i n g. The servant of the Lord, Brother Houteff, and the wise virgins or the wheat have established the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, ever since 1935. Then the call for a spiritual revival and a spiritual reformation proclaimed by Mrs. White in the Review and Herald 25

February 25, 1902 began to be heralded unto Seventh-day Adventists churches all over the world. The Davidian SDA as a people at the outset have been steadily developed and have made tremendous progresses under the flag of only one Mount Carmel Center located in Waco, Texas, USA.

After the death of Brother Victor T. Houteff in 1955, however, the Enemy has successfully delivered his two times knockout blows consecutively. The first blow through Mrs. Houteff as soon as she began to proclaim her falsehood of teaching time set for the establishment of the Kingdom in 1959. And the second blow was delivered sometime after 1991 when most of the friends of the Gospel have returned to the original location of the Carmel Center. The two consecutive blows seemed enough to have knocked out the leadership of Mount Carmel Center for good, that they no more able to be recovered from their unconsciousness. The result is that most of the progress and purity of doctrinal points of view attained during the life time of Houteff have now disappeared. The Spirit of Truth that led the message of Present Truth penetrating successfully in many parts of Laodicean, is now gone. Whereas only for attaining unity among the people, in every aspect they fail to see eye to eye, to have the same mind, let alone for to speak the same things. The consequences are in the establishment of several more

Mount Carmel Centers or Headquarters of Davidian SDA in the USA, who deliberately called themselves by the name Mount Carmel Center of the Lord. The problem now is, which one of the so-called Mount Carmel Centers is worthy legally to be represented by the bay horses of Zechariah’s prophecy, or by the Lord’s vanguard at this time of the end. And this is the reason why, that all of them must first suffer the process of sifting. This is clearly presented by the servant of the Lord, Mrs. White, in her following address :

“God will arouse His people; if other means fail, heresies will come in among them, which will s i f t them, separating the c h a f f (not tares) from the w h e a t. The Lord calls upon all who believe His word to awake out of sleep. Precious light has come, appropriate for this time. It is Bible truth, showing the perils that are right upon us. This light should lead us to a diligent study of the Scriptures and a most critical examination of the positions which we hold.” – 5 Testimonies for the Church, pp. 707 – 708. (In brackets added)

This is the second process of sifting, which is now going on among u s as Present Truth believers of the wise virgins or the wheat. God wants to have His wheat categorized people surely be free from all kinds of waste or the chaff. Present Truth believers or the pure wheat of such ones are worthy to be the Lord’s vanguard and its army, because from among them the 144.000 saints of God will be selected. The Holy Spirit will be assured them that they will be guided unto all Truth and the Things to come as those provided in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. That though they might still falleth seven times, they will always riseth up again, and then be forgiven their sins. (Proverb 24 : 16). That they will always be free from falling into the so-called sinning against the Holy Spirit, which is no more to be forgiven, neither here while the probation still lingers, nor in the future.

The process of the third Sifting

The last two siftings are to take place only among those who have been successfully sifted in the first and the second process of sifting. In the third process of sifting the pure wheat of the Lord will be allocated into two divisions : (A) The Vanguard or the first of the first fruits division, and (B) Their Army. Or in other words : (A) The bay horses, and (B) The Chariot… Thus is the sifting, despite all of them are the first fruits of the living harvested in the Church, yet they need to be re-allocated, each according to their capacity and the appointment of the Lord. Those appointed to be the “vanguard” or “the bay horses” are also to be found in the prophecy of Isaiah to be “the servants of God.” Bro. Houteff wrote it in the following statement :

“Isaiah 63 : 5 — “And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold : therefore Mine own arm brought salvation unto Me; and My fury, it upheld Me.”

Here you note that when the time came there was not even one among His servants “to uphold” the work of the harvest, and consequently the Lord Himself did the work without them.” — 2 Timely Greetings, No. 44, p. 38

And the apostle Paul has called them by their appointment to be “THE DIVINELY APPOINTED MINISTRY”, consists of the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers. Read Ephesians 4 : 11 – 14.

When the leadership of the General Conference of SDA or the angel of the Church of Laodiceans were sifted out, they then be re-organized into the General Association of Davidian SDA in Waco, Texas. In prophetical sense the angel of Laodicea was spewed out of Jesus’ mouth to be succeeded by the General Association of Davidian SDA or the Mount Carmel Center in 1935. Then came forward Brother Victor T. Houteff and his fellow workers as the divinely appointed ministry. These servants of God have been the first emerged as the vanguard or the bay horses in 1935. When Bro. Houteff, however, died in 1955, even after the remainder members of the ministry also fell knocked out unconsciously, then through the process of the third sifting, the Lord should have unavoidably appointed a new ministry. This new divinely appointed ministry would be “the bay horses”, that should inevitably be selected from among those idles in the market place. Read Matthew 20 : 6, 7.

Attention :

- The market = The Church of the Laodiceans, the vineyard from which the first fruits are to be harvested
- Those idles = The laymen, not occupying any job with the General Conference, or with the General Association of Davidian SDA

Read carefully the article entitled : “THE ELEVENTH HOUR CALL.”

The process of the fourth and the last Sifting

The last sifting is to get the following statements by the servant of the Lord be materialized. We read here below the statements as follows :

“With the emergence of this vanguard and its army, the first fruits, from which are elected the 12.000 out of each of the twelve tribes of Jacob, “the 144.000” (Revelation 14 : 1; 7 : 2 – 8 ) who stand on Mount Zion with the Lamb (Rev. 14 : 1; 7 : 2 – 8), the reign of antitypical David begins.”– The Leviticus of The Davidian SDA, p. 3.

“……….for many be called, but few chosen. – Matthew 20 : 16 (margin).

The process of the fourth sifting seems to be not as yet successful, because even up to this very moment those called to the revival and reformation to receive the Present Truth message are still very few in number. Not even to reach 5.000. Whereas as we all know it is from among the number of those called the 144.000 saints of God will be disclosed to view. Since the 144.000 living saints of God should have been selected (sifted out) from among the first fruits of all the harvest in the Church, then we may be sure that the “many be called” ever since the beginning of the first sifting in Church, are still far from reaching its accomplishment. The present vanguard of the Lord must yet be increased in number, and even the number of their armies must also be multiplied, because just from among the armies the vanguard would be appointed by the Lord (sifted out). But how is the condition now in your own observation?

Even the rational being who has mind to think should have understood that from the cause to reason, it is unavoidably to admit that we have been too long misled by the Mount Carmel

Center itself, who have themselves been misled by their own narrow minded fundamentalism of the former Sanhedrin in the time of Jesus. We have been for a long time too dependent upon the main sinners against the Spirit of Truth, whom we have taken for granted to be leading us into the Kingdom, whereas through our own carelessness to study the message for ourselves we have failed to obey God, when He warned us through His servant :

“We must be alert, too, to realize that the blow is to come from surprisingly unsuspected foes — from professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the priests in Christ’s day.” – The White House Recruiter, p. 33.

Thus, the first two times knockout blows first came from the Enemy, and then the professed friends of the gospel themselves, in turn, are to forward the blow o n u s. The consequences are very serious, because at the end of the harvest the following statement by prophet Amos shall be fulfilled : “The Lord will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the t o p of C a r m e l shall wither.”— Amos 1 : 2.

“The habitations of the shepherds” at the Carmel pastures mean the people affiliating with those leading at the top of Carmel in Texas. They shall mourn after being convinced of their lost at the end of the harvest.

Now we can see for ourselves why is the process of the fourth sifting making so slow progress, just at these last hours of probation. It is because the Present Truth believers are themselves lacking the power of the Spirit of Truth, even to make for themselves more vanguards in their midst. Actually, we have been led by the agents of the Enemy, who are themselves the main sinners against the Holy Spirit, for which there is no more pardon reserved for them.

Therefore all the siftings are still going on as ever since the beginning. Not even one has been accomplished. The first sifting to separate the Present Truth believers represented by the wheat, from among the tares in the Laodicean Church is yet to accomplish. The second sifting to separate those categorized “wheat” from its “chaff”, who are now dominating the Top of Carmel in

Waco, Texas is also still far from being accomplished. Even the same sifting to call back the “wheat” categorized ones from the antitypical Korah, Dathan, and Abiram in America and elsewhere not as yet succeeded.

And in this process of the third sifting, which is now going to be more aggressively, even as ever before during the life time of Houtteff, the author of the message himself, we will testify to you that now is the time fulfilled, when the servant of the Lord said :

“Let me tell you that the Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning. There will be those among us who will always want to control the work of God, to dictate even what movements shall be made when the work goes forward under the direction of the angel who joins the third angel in the message (of THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY) to be given to the world. God will use ways and means by which it will be seen that He is taking the reins in His own hands. The workers will be surprised by the simple means that He will use to bring about and perfect His work of righteousness.” – Testimonies to Ministers, p. 300. (In the brackets is added)

That is, through this third process of sifting the Lord would have a new divinely appointed ministry, who are to be selected out from those idles in the market place These are to be the vanguard of the first fruits, or the bay horses of the prophecy of Zechariah 6 : 6, 7 who are to activate all the other siftings more aggressively than ever before under the guiding power of the Lord Himself.

S i f t i n g in the Laodicean Church of God

M a n y be called, but o n l y 144.000 c h o s e n

(Matthew 20 : 16)

Due to the fact that the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 on the purification of the Church is soon to be fulfilled in 2027, whereas the number of Present Truth believers up to this moment is so small, not even 5.000 in all, every rational being would be certainly doubting if such a great number of people could be won to Christ within such a limited period. The background of Church history and experience ever since the beginning in 1844 up to now seems still very hard to sustain us to be optimistic, that through all the siftings “many be called and the special company of those 144.000 selected from among them, will be disclosed to view, as the first fruits of the harvest in 2027.

Nevertheless, to be a Present Truth believer we must not doubt the Lord and His Word. As did Adam and Eve in the past, who were the first to breach the first and the sixth Commandment of the Decalogue. The sixth Commandment is breached, because by eating the forbidden fruit they had killed themselves intentionally, while the first is breached because they trusted more to the voice of others. Well, Brother and Sister, the Lord is especially now speaking to us in this time of the end. The prophecies of the Old Testament belong to us, because just in this time of the end are all the prophecies interpreted and provided us in the SPIRIT OF ROPHECY.

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” – 2 Peter 1 : 19 – 21.

And from prophet Isaiah we have the assurance:

“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sewer, and bread to the eater; So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” – Isaiah 55 : 10 – 11.

“Many be called, but few chosen,” is a divinely promise that will never fail. This means, as soon as those many “called ones” successfully be informed and embrace the Present Truth message, then at the same time the process of the fourth sifting would have accomplished it duty. This is to show us that the fourth sifting is yet in the future, but it will soon begin to carry out its appointed work sometime prior to the 2027. Mrs. White and Bro. Houteff, both have ever said :

“More than one thousand will soon be converted i n o n e d a y, most of whom will trace their first convictions to the reading of our publications.”– Review and Herald, November 10, 1885.” – Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 17, p. 5.

That means, their conversion to embrace the message is quicker than the average of our people today, because the message has ever impressed them before when they read the free literatures scattered everywhere laden with present Truth. And besides this the Lord should have poured out His Spirit somewhat a little more than that available with us today. All these will be proven later in the near future to meet the fulfillment of the following statement by the servant of the Lord :

“……….now time is almost finished, and what we have been years learning, they will have to learn in a few months. They will also have much to unlearn, and much to learn again.”– Early Writings, p. 67.

“Time is short, and what you do must be done quickly. Resolve to redeem the time. Seek not your own pleasure. Rouse yourself ! Take hold of the work with a new purpose of heart. The Lord will open the way before you. Make every possible effort to work in Christ’s line, in meekness and lowliness, relying upon Him for strength. Understand the work the Lord gives you to do, and, trusting in God, you will be enabled to go on from strength to strength, from grace to grace. You will be enabled to work diligently, perseveringly, for your people while the day lasts; for the night cometh in which no man shall work.” – Testimonies, Vol. 9, p. 200.

“………the final movements will be rapid ones.” – Testimonies, Vol. 9, p. 11

Since the time will end in 2027, and since the vanguard or the bay horses should have made ready their army or the chariot as quickly as possible even in only a few months prior to the ‘D’ day in 2027, no wonder when the fourth and the last sifting which is very eagerly anticipated by many to take place among u s at this time would yet to be delayed for more years to come. Whereas, actually only for at least 144 days or the most one year, most of those to be called and the numbered company of the living saints would have been already gathered.

C o n c l u s i o n

The prophecy of Zechariah 6 : 6, 7 seems to be fulfilled the first time with our Seventh-day Adventist denomination. The existence of the two pairs of horses, the bay and the grisled horses taking the same chariot to and fro, each to the opposite direction, met their fulfillment first in 1935 when the Lord’s vanguard emerged on the top of Carmel in Texas, USA.

Observing the direction aimed by the horses we could readily know that the bay horses that are taking the chariot to and fro through the earth would inevitably represent the 144.000 saints of God… This is of course undeniable among us. However, since the 144.000 elects of God are not as yet disclosed to view, whereas the bay horses themselves are still moving on and on in the same place without making any progress, the bay horses must unavoidably represent the vanguard of God, who are the first of the first fruits of the harvest in the vineyard of the Laodicean Church. And this is more representing the vanguard of the Lord after the demise of the servant of the Lord Brother Victor T. Houteff in 1955.

And since from the fact that the Lord’s vanguard on the top of Carmel were fallen knocked out up to two times by the blow delivered by the Enemy, even after repossessing the top of Carmel in 1991, without any sign of recovery up to this very moment, we may now be sure that the Lord of the vineyard would have none other means than to appoint a new vanguard from among “those idles in the market place.” Then will the parable of Jesus in Matthew 20 : 6, 7 be practically fulfilled. This is the true vanguard, who are to be called out at about the eleventh hour, before the close of the harvest of the first fruits. They are to accomplish their work of making ready their army for the coming purification of the Church as prophesied in Ezekiel chapter 9.

They are not the present day shepherds on the top of Carmel pastures in Waco, Texas, whose deceptions has caused the habitations of the shepherds (those present Truth believers affiliate with Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas) to mourn their lost at the end of the harvest. Read Amos 1 : 2 Though still rarely respected as vanguard among u s today, they must inevitably be in existence in. our midst. The servant of the Lord has ever since assured us of their coming,

“…….. God will send forth into His vineyard many who have not been dedicated to the ministry by the laying on of hands.”— The Acts of the Apostles, p. 110.
