Sin of adding to and
subtracting from the book of Revelation.
Who is to blame ?
JESUS :
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book : And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things, which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so. Come, Lord Jesus !
Revelation 22 : 18 – 20.

If the above statement by John the Revelator would be read carefully, it could be directly understood that it was from the Lord Jesus Himself who has dictated the statement to John. And as the whole book of Revelation as well as all other books of the Bible have been interpreted in the time of the end, into the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, then let it be fully convinced that the book of Revelation is specifically addressed to the Laodiceans of the time of the end.
Since all the books of the Bible meet and end in the Revelation, and since the book of Revelation itself is the complement of the book of Daniel, then as a rule the sanction of the law as those mentioned in the Revelation 22 : 18, 19 should have applied to all trespasses in all the books of the Bible. Not merely limited to trespasses of things in the book of Revelation. And the rule will include all things in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY as well as they contain the result of interpretations of all the books of the Bible.
From John to the seven Churches in Asia, which is the Laodicean Church
John the Revelator said :
“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet. Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the Last : and, what thou seesth, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia.” ……….. Revelation 1 : 10, 11.
The things mentioned above by John took place in the year 96. They have been documented in the book of Revelation, consisted of 22 chapters, which were addressed to the “seven churches in Asia” that is, to the seventh church, which is the Laodicean church or the Church of Seventh-day Adventist in the time of the end.
Number “7” (seven) in the prophecy stands for “completeness.” Due to the fact that the Lord has only one church on earth, both in the Old and in the New Testament era, then what is meant by “the seven churches in Asia” would inevitably be the only church of God, which is the last and the seventh one, which is the Laodicean church. The names of those churches derive from several names of objects in Asia.
Thus let it be understood that Revelation 22 : 18, 19 is especially addressed to only the Laodiceans of God in the time of the end. At the end of writing the book of Revelation, specifically on chapter 22 : 18, 19 the Laodiceans were seriously warned of a sanction of the law against those who are to be implicated in acts of adding to or subtracting from the prophecies of the book of Revelation. And since the book of Revelation is not independently separated from all other books of the Bible, but just to be where the other books of the Bible meet and end, then it should be understood that the above sanction of the law should have applied to all other books too, as swell as to all their interpretations in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.
Since the Laodiceans of God or the Seventh day Adventist Church according to Revelation 12 : 17, 19 : 10 (margin) have their faith based upon the Ten Commandments as the Basic Law of the Kingdom, and the Testimonies of Jesus Christ or the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY as the By-laws, which contain all the rules of implementations of the Basic Law, then the only means by which the Enemy would have tried his luck to mislead our people, is through the acts of adding to or subtracting from the rules of implementations of the Basic Law in the golden bowl of the prophecy of Zechariah chapter 4. That means, that the Enemy would have tried to gain control over the minds of the leaders, especially of those who are very ambitious to gain control over the people, both in the General Conference of SDA, as well as in the General Association of Davidian SDA. It is no wonder, therefore, why should the Lord have spewed out the angel of the Church of the Laodiceans and all his ministers in the world in 1935, as well as why did the Lord command to sell all the assets and properties of His Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, after the death of His appointed servant in 1955.
Now let us be always on alert that the Adversary would have also used his agents from among our people in the fields to carry out his efforts of misleading the people to the belief on the acts of adding to and subtracting from the message in the Revelation. Thus not only is the leadership at the top of Carmel to lead us astray, but even the ordinary individuals of those with very ambitious spirit to control their fellowmen in the fields.
Know first the Church and the divinely appointed agencies and their work respectively
The servant of the Lord, Mrs. E. G. White has ever said :
“God has a church, and she has a divinely appointed ministry. ‘And He gave some apostles; and some, prophets; and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ …………..etc.“ – Testimonies to Ministers, p. 52.
We must be sure that the divinely appointed agencies are all inspired of God to carry out their task according to the job appointed them respectively. So the prophets would be inspired especially that they could have carried out their job successfully as prophets. And the teachers have been inspired not that they could have also carried out the work of the prophets, to have the things in the Bible interpreted, nor the evangelists to be inspired that they could now and then have carried out the work of the minister. However, that even we all are inspired especially that we could have the same understanding of the message as those sent to us in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY by the prophets, Mrs. E. G. White and Bro. Houteff.
Now that we could have an insight to the term “inspiration”, let us read Bro. Houteff’s own statement when he said :
“In Its Scriptural sense, Inspiration is defined as ‘a divine influence directly and immediately exerted upon the mind or soul of man’ (THE NEW CENTURY DICTIONARY); in other words, It is a special function of the Spirit of God. It is, therefore, in its divers manifestations, set in operation, not by the working of the mind itself, but by the power of the Spirit. To get a correct understanding of this process, however, one must necessarily see it in historical perspective, operating in the midst of the human race from the beginning of creation.” – The Answerer, Book 1, p. 40.
“When God makes man to understand something which is beyond finite knowledge, the Bible terms the act, Inspiration. “ – The Answerer Book 4, p. 38.
Due to the fact that the servants of the Lord, Mrs. White and Bro. Houteff have died for a long time, whereas there is a very important job yet to be accomplished before the great and dreadful day of the Lord in the near future. That this very important job should be unavoidably delegated to the teachers of the Shepherd’s Rod only. To this end Bro. Houteff said :
“The Bible and the books of the Spirit of Prophecy being the sole source of the Shepherd’s Rod message, therefore, when the Rod is taught, the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy are taught. And since none but the Spirit of Truth, who transmitted the mysteries of Inspiration, can interpret them, then those who attempt to teach them without this inspired interpretation Authority, inevitably fall into the forbidden practice of private interpretation (2 Pet. 1 : 20) — the great evil which has brought Christendom into its present almost – boundless state of schism and consequent confusion, strife, and impotency.
“As we dare not follow in such a path, we must therefore, as teachers of The Shepherd’s Rod (the official publications of the Davidian SDA Association), teach only in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted. Thus only will all Present Truth believers ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things (1 Cor. 1 : 10; 1 Pet. 3 : 8; Isa. 52 : 8).“ – Fundamental Beliefs of The Davidian SDA, p. 27.
Since there are yet many more passages in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY of the golden bowl, which in one way or another need to be interpreted further by the teacher of the Rod in the light of the Rod, then no wonder if the Enemy would have his agencies also implicated in the work. Here instead of helping the teachers of the Rod to have the work accomplished soon in our midst, they just prevent the work to be done, because based upon their narrow-minded fundamentalism the purity of the message in the golden bowl must be preserved and maintained. No more to be entered into or to be taken out from the bowl, let alone when the prophets have ever since died for along time. They are indeed now in an open war against the teachers of the Rod and their God’s appointed task to accomplish before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
The emergence of the false teachers of the Rod and their narrow-minded fundamentalism
The false teachers of the Rod are actually for the first time emerged in Texas, coincided with the re-establishment of the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, USA in 1991. This is to meet the prediction given us by Bro. Houteff several years before he died in 1955, when he said :
“We must be alert, too, to realize that the blow is to come from surprisingly unsuspected foes — from professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the priests in Christ’s day. It is, moreover, but to be expected that the Adversary will employ every agency possible to prevent the Lord from disclosing to view His now obscure 144.000 first fruit servants, who are to go gather in the second fruits (Revelation 7 : 9). The Enemy will try everything conceivable to confuse, becloud, and cover up the Truth, especially on the subject of the 144.000.” — The White House Recruiter, p. 33.
The piety of the professed friends of the gospel mentioned above is no less than of the Jewish priests in the time of Christ in the Palestine. This fact is to show us that they are inevitably the anti typical Sanhedrin in this time of the end.
Every Christian would have been familiar with the story of the Jewish priests and their Sanhedrin in the time of Jesus. We all know for sure how tight are the Jewish priests to preserve and maintain the purity of the Law and their Bible. They even have ever accused openly the Lord Jesus for having desecrated the Sabbath for picking wheat on the Sabbath, and also for healing the sicks on the Sabbath. Read Matthew 12 : 10 – 12, Desire of Ages, p. 286.
The narrow-minded fundamentalism has its origin from the following ideas : That due to the fact that the Bible has been fully interpreted into the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, represented by the golden bowl, by the divinely appointed prophets, let it no more to be interpreted further by anyone else, except by only the appointed prophets of God. But since no more prophets are alive now, they have failed to think that before he died in 1955, Bro. Houteff as the highest ranking officer of the divinely appointed ministry has ever delegated his power to the teachers of the Rod to have those passages (in the golden bowl) to be interpreted further. They still persist that the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY as product of inspired interpretations should have been read and directly understood, without being reinterpreted, let alone to be reinterpreted by only teachers of the Rod.
They even have based their narrow-minded fundamentalism upon the following statement by Bro. Houteff when he ever said :
“Teach the message as it is – add nothing to it, neither take anything from it. Do not feel that it is your duty to answer everybody’s questions, or to explain the whole Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. Only a silly person attempts such a thing. The scroll is not yet unrolled that far. Do not go beyond what the Shepherd Rod has explained.………….. There was never a prophet who claimed to explain everything to his opponents even though the questions to be answered were concerning his own message…. “ – The Symbolic Code, Vol. 1, No. 4, p. 1 (California – 1934).
And the consequence is when they come across a contradictive statement like the one here below : “ ……As we dare not follow in such a path, we must therefore, as teachers of The Shepherd’s Rod (the official publications of the Davidian SDA Association), teach only in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted. …..” Fundamental Beliefs of The Davidian SDA, p. 27.
This last statement would have been admitted in a very limited sense, and to be practiced under very tight control for none other than only for to have the message preserved as pure as possible as to its origin as the message of the Rod.
They failed to think that in fact there are indeed many more passages in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, which in one way or another need to be interpreted further under the light of the Rod, up to the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord, even though the divinely appointed prophets have all died for good.
We therefore must always be on alert, that though the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas has ever been heretofore successful to have scattered the message in nearly many parts of Laodicea, they are themselves still in the dark of most of the passages of the message in the golden bowl of Zechariah chapter 4. That means, that they are themselves now lacking the power to teach the message of the Rod unto the details. Let alone when you could have been fully aware that no more divinely appointed teacher of the Rod could ever be found now working with the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas. USA.
Even ever since the time of the re-establishment of the Mount Carmel Center in 1991 in Texas, you will never more find any teacher of the Rod teaching under the light of the Rod those passages in the golden bowl that is in one way or another need to be interpreted further. And this is a clear token for every one of us, that Present Truth believers who have been affiliated with the Waco, Texas Headquarters ever since 1991 would never again be of the same mind, seeing eye to eye, and speaking the same things as ever before during the life time of Bro. Houteff.
Blessed is he (singular) that readeth, and they (plural) that heareth … !
(Revelation 1 : 3)
Read carefully the above statement by the apostle John. The word “blessed” was mentioned only once for both he that readeth and them that heareth. That means, reading only by every one of us is not yet enough to be blessed of the Lord. We all are obliged to hear also. But to whom shall we hear ?
Every man who reads would have come with every kind of understanding, which is not always going in line with his fellow reader. And that is just the reason why we all should go yet to hear to someone else. That we all should go to hear to the teacher of the Rod, who is to teach in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted.
The Lord God knows well, that though all the Scriptures of the Bible have been fully interpreted by His appointed agents (Mrs. E. G. White and Bro. Houteff) into the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, represented by the golden bowl of Zechariah chapter 4, there are yet many more passages in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY that still need to be taught and interpreted further in the light of the Rod by His next agent, the divinely appointed teacher of the Rod. “Thus only will all Present Truth believers ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things (1 Cor. 1 : 10; 1 Pet. 3 : 8; Isa. 52 : 8).“ – Fundamental Beliefs of The Davidian SDA, p. 27.
That is, thus only will all splits of opinion and all dissimilarities that is lingering on and on in the Davidian up to this very moment, could have been settled under the guiding power of the Spirit of Truth. And thus only will all the candidates of the 144.000 saints of God could have been seen to emerge on the stage of history, just in our midst.
Now it is proven that actually the Bible and all its inspired interpretations in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY are not as yet enough to make us ready to be blessed of the Lord, let alone to be delivered to the coming Kingdom in Palestine. The servant of the Lord, Bro. Victor T. Houteff, in one of his sermons in the Timely Greetings, Vol. 1, No. 32, has ever said :

Isaiah 30 : 26 —-
“Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach of His people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.”
Were this not a figure of speech, were the sun actually to become seven times hotter than it is, then the earth itself would go into flames. Obviously the sun in this instance is used figuratively to illustrate that the light of God’s word now while He is binding the “wound” of His people, is to increase sevenfold — all the light that there is will burst upon the earth as does the sun after a cloudy day. Moreover, the moon (the church), the agency which reflects the rays of the sun into the dark places of the earth, will as a result accommodate the people, not much better than she has heretofore, but perfectly. Already we see the light of God’s Word rising higher and higher with each passing week.
Isaiah 30 : 27 —
“Behold, the name of the Lord cometh from far, burning with His anger, and the burden thereof is heavy : His lips are full of indignation, and His tongue as a devouring fire.”
Look ! command the Lord, the unveiling of these truths indicates but one thing — that we are approaching the great and dreadful day of the Lord, the day in which there shall be but one Lord, and His name one.” — 1 Timely Greetings, No. 32, pp. 21.

That means, while we are now approaching the great and dreadful day of the Lord in the future, in the same time we will also be blessed with more and more light to come from the Word of God, ever shining brighter and brighter than ever before upon us, as the light of the sun that is to be increased seven times brighter and brighter than ever before.
Due to the fact that both servants of the Lord, Mrs. White and Bro. Houteff have accomplished their work to have the Bible fully interpreted into the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, and since both of them are no more alive now, then the only unavoidably fact to conclude is, that the more truth from the Word Of God should have come only through the divinely appointed teachers of the Shepherd’s Rod.
The Acts of adding to and subtracting from the Revelation that should be identified
“Sin is the transgression of the Law.” 1 John 3 : 4. That the sin could have been identified unto the details, we should have learned to know the Law unto the details. And then to identify those sins one by one.
The same thing we should do when the acts of adding to and subtracting from the message would be identified unto the details, we must receive all the teachings by the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod, who are to have all the passages of the message interpreted in the light of the Rod. And when we are willing to receive their teachings, then as soon as possible those acts of adding to and subtracting from the message would have been identified.
The positive result from all painstaking efforts of those teachers of the Rod would have been found not only through their teaching verbally, but more than that through their writings in the internets and the websites. Even through books and brochures as well. The Lord has blessed man to develop science and technology, not only for men to satisfy their passionate desire, but especially for speeding up the proclamation of His own message of salvation.
But on the contrary Mount Carmel Center and all those who affiliate with them, would have shown their bitter dissatisfaction. They will continue to accuse the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod and their teachings as the acts of adding to and subtracting from the message. And this struggle in the Davidian would only meet the fulfillment of Mrs. White’s following statement :
“God will arouse His people; if other means fail, heresies will come in among them, which will sift them, separating the c h a f f from the w h e a t. The Lord calls upon all who believe His word to awake out of sleep. Precious light has come, appropriate for this time.” – 5 Testimonies, p. 707.
We have to know that only through the new light of the message of the Shepherd’s Rod that came in 1929, that our SDA Church should have been divided into two classes of people : the wheat categorized ones on the one side and the tares categorized ones on the other side. Thus the separation of those categorized “chaff” from the wheat categorized ones would have been fulfilled later, after the death of Bro. Houteff, after the dissolution of the Mount Carmel Center in 1962, even after the teacher of the Rod began to teach in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted.
The Teacher of the Rod and his painstaking effort has produced a special light which is called by Mrs. White : “PRECIOUS LIGHT HAS COME, APPROPRIATE FOR THIS TIME.”
Precious light that comes from the teachers of the Rod have again divided the Present Truth believers of Davidian SDA into two categorized peoples : First, those who have re-established the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas in 1991. This is the “chaff“ categorized ones.
Second, The “purely wheat” categorized ones, comprise of many scattered tiny groups of people which through the prophecy of Zechariah 13 : 7 was called “the little ones”, who are now under the guiding hand of the Lord Jesus Himself.
Now since the Present Truth believers of Davidian SDA have been divided into only two categorized peoples, then the acts of adding to and subtracting from the message mentioned in Revelation 22 : 18, 19, must inevitably implicate only the “chaff” categorized Davidians. They are just the people of the categorized wise virgins with guile in their mouths. (Read Revelation 14 : 5) Although they are very famous of their narrow minded fundamentalism to have the purity of the Rod and the Spirit of Prophecy preserved and maintained, they have not as yet realized that they have been just implicated in the sin of those mentioned in Revelation 22 : 18, 19.
Due to their persistent refusal to acknowledge the teachers of the Rod and their appointed works to accomplish before the great and dreadful day of the Lord, then after the death of Bro. Houteff as the appointed prophet of God, no more evangelist, nor pastor, nor teacher of the divinely appointed ministry could ever be found there to edify them as the body of Christ. The consequence is that they have been fallen so deep in the sin of adding to and subtracting from the message in the Revelation. Followed here below, therefore, several of those sins they have been implicated in for adding to and subtracting from the message. They are among others :
(1) The act of re-establishing the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, without any clear consent of the Lord through His rules of implementation of the Law in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.
(2) Refusal to acknowledge any divinely appointed agency only because he or she teaches under the light of the Rod those passages in the golden bowl of Zechariah 4, which in one way or another need to be interpreted by the teacher of the Rod. The divinely appointed teachers, therefore, were never to be tolerated to have their messages documented in books or through the internet. This is because their teachings of the passages have been deemed to be only the acts of adding to or subtracting something out of the golden bowl of Zechariah chapter 4. And the result of the teachings was regarded as merely private interpretations.
(3) They never tolerate any teaching on the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY without first obtaining Headquarters approval, to be issued by the Bible Research Committee. Whereas the Bible Research Committee itself is lacking power to settle any problem submitted to them.
(4) Refusal to acknowledge the so-called “c h a f f“ to represent one of the two categorized Davidians SDA, after having identified the one of the two as the true wheat categorized ones or the wise virgins without guile in their mouths. They even have likened the “chaff” to the “tares” categorized ones in the Church of SDA.
(5) They honestly have admitted that they are not as yet seeing eye to eye, having the same mind, and speaking the same things, but persistently refused to acknowledge that the Mount Carmel Center lacks the Holy Spirit leading in their midst.
(6) They persistently refuse to admit that the present Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, USA is the antitypical Sanhedrin of the time of the end.
(7) Bro. Victor T. Houteff ever said :
“Everything that can be done against God’s message of today will be done with even a greater vengeance than was manifest against Heaven’s message in the days of Christ’s first advent, for the Devil knows that if he loses now, he loses forever — that he is to have no other chance. Unparalleled, therefore, is the urgency that every eleventh-hour church member now quickly and solidly brace himself against the Enemy’s effort to deliver a knockout blow. We must be alert, too, to realize that the blow is to come from surprisingly unsuspected foes — from professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the priests in Christ’s day. It is, moreover, but to be expected that the Adversary will employ every agency possible to prevent the Lord from disclosing to view His now obscure 144.000 first fruit servants, who are to go gather in the second fruits (Revelation 7 : 9). The Enemy will try everything conceivable to confuse, becloud, and cover up the Truth, especially on the subject of the 144.000.” — The White House Recruiter, p. 33.
NOTE!
Those leading at the Mount Carmel Center in Texas today have fully applied the above passage and its interpretations to Mrs. Houteff and her fellow workers after the death of the servant of the Lord in 1955. Whereas when the liquidation of the Mount Carmel Center took place in 1962 Mrs. Houteff has earlier proclaimed to the public that the message of the Shepherd’s Rod was actually no more healthy. And then she herself has deserted the Davidianism, that her where about was gone ever since up to this very moment.
Suppose the above statement by the servant of the Lord has fully met its fulfillment in the time of Mrs. Houteff and her fellow workers, then those things mentioned in the statement should have met their fulfillment only until 1962. The intelligent seeker of truth would have to question : Is it true that the Adversary has already employed every agency possible to prevent the Lord from disclosing to view His now obscure 144.000 first fruit servants ?
The re-establishment of Mount Carmel Center in 1991 is not according to the will of God
The re-establishment of Mount Carmel Center in Texas by Bro. Houteff in 1935 is according to the will of God as those presented in the Review and Herald February 25, 1902. Houteff as the author of the Shepherd’s Rod message, he is also President of the General Association of Davidian SDA. Due to the fact that the General Association of Davidian SDA is basically none other than the re-organized General Conference of SDA itself, then the existence of the General Association of Davidian SDA on earth would not be too long. Only as long as the existence of the author of the Shepherd’s Rod message himself as well as also the author of the message of the Eleventh Hour Call.
Due to the fact that the function of the Eleventh Hour Call is to save only those standing idly in the market place (the laymen in the Church), then after the death of the servant of the Lord in 1955, the Eleventh Hour Call could no more have saved those who were yet to stay on there in power on the Mount Carmel Center in Texas. This could be understood due to the fact that those working with the Headquarters of Davidian SDA could not be deemed standing idle in the market place. They are the workers who worked there under the leadership of Bro. Houteff as President. And that is the reason why, no wonder if only one year prior to His death in 1955, Bro. Houteff should have warned us through the Symbolic Code that the function of the Mount Carmel Center in Texas would have to close soon. To this end he then said as follows :
Preparing for all-out Effort
(Symbolic Code, vol. 10, No. 1)
“The hunting campaign launched last year initiated and heralded a new electrifying and progressive advancement of Present Truth.
“Now again, with even greater emphasis toward reaching her goal, Mount Carmel Center makes the following announcement to all faithful Davidians who will realize that this good news is perhaps nothing short of a sign. Mount Carmel Center, by commencing to first sell its excess property, then the whole, is symbolically leading the way to the program that is outlined by the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy, in the words :
“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a treasure hid in a field ; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.” Matthew 13 : 14. The Lord Himself is leading the way.
“……Jesus hath made it possible for you to accept His love, and in happy cooperation with Him to work under its fragrant influence. He requires you to use your possessions in unselfish service, that His plan for the salvation of souls shall be carried forward with power. He expects you to give your undivided energies to His work.”
“Would you make your property secure ? Place it in the hand that bears the nail-print of the crucifixion. Retain it in your possession, and it will be to your eternal loss. Give it to God, and from that moment it bears His inscription. It is sealed with His immutability. Would you enjoy your substance? Then use it for the blessing of the suffering.” – 9 Testimonies, pp. 50, 51. — The Symbolic Code, Vol. 10, No. 1 p. 4.
The Zechariah’s prediction
Zechariah 13 : 6, 7 :
“And one shall say unto Him, What are these wounds in thine hands ? Then He shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. Awake O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of hosts : smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered : and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.”
Explanation of those two verses by Bro. Houteff was very limited given us in his sermon Timely Greetings, vol. 1, No. 18. The fact that he did not explain further verse 7, because he himself as shepherd predicted in that prophecy was still alive. However, we must ourselves understand, that since the prophecy of prophet Zechariah belongs to the church in this time of the end, then the shepherd must inevitably apply to Bro. Houteff himself. And the sheep are none other than the Present Truth Believers of Davidian SDA ourselves. It is now clear that after the death of Bro. Houteff as shepherd in 1955, then the Lord would have taken the rein into His own hands. And this is just to meet the prediction given us earlier by Mrs. White in the following words :
“Let me tell you that the Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning. There will be those among us who will always want to control the work of God, to dictate even what movements shall be made when the work goes forward under the direction of the angel who joins the third angel in the message (of THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY) to be given to the world. God will use ways and means by which it will be seen that He is taking the reins in His own hands. The workers will be surprised by the simple means that He will use to bring about and perfect His work of righteousness.” – Testimonies to Ministers, p. 300. (In the brackets is added)
The Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning. Up to now we have been familiar to know that the Lord works only through His appointed agencies: first through the General Conference of SDA, and later through the General Association of Davidian SDA in Waco, Texas, USA.
But after the death of Bro. Houteff in 1955, and after the Enemy successfully delivered his knockout blows at those leading at the Headquarters, to have the Headquarters totally dissolved and liquidated in 1962, could you be sure that the Lord would have authorized the present leadership of the Headquarters in Waco, Texas to work for Him in this last work? No single statement of the Lord could be found in the message to direct us to the present leadership in Waco, Texas, to be His last agency to work with.
Actually the above statement by Mrs. White began to meet its fulfillment in force after the dissolution of the Mount Carmel Headquarters in 1962. The Lord will no more work through any agency as ever before, neither the General Conference of SDA, nor the General Association of Davidian SDA. Because He will have taken the rein in His own hands. The Lord has promised us: “smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered : and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.” — Zechariah 13 : 7.
Taking the rein in His own hands, will be identified by the fact when the following statement by Mrs. White is to be fulfilled: ”God will send forth into His vineyard many who have not been dedicated to the ministry by the laying on of hands.” — The Acts of the Apostles, p. 110.
Appointing ministers without laying on of hands, means the appointment was done without the consent of the Organization. This is how the Lord is to appoint His “vanguard” to work for Him in this last work in His vineyard.
The Lord’s hand upon the little ones
Zechariah 13 : 7
The people of God in this time of the end will be specifically indentified through their seeing eye to eye, their having the same mind, and their ability to speak the same things. This is to prove the fact that the Holy Spirit is indeed leading in their midst. And this is also to prove that they are all under the reining hands of the Lord Himself.
Such condition of the people was ever preserved in their midst in the time of Bro. Houteff’s leadership, that the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, has become the General Association of Davidian SDA to coordinate all the associations of Davidian SDA scattered in all the world.
So as ever before we have been familiar to see the Lord’s hand leading upon those greater ones in the General Conference of SDA, and then to turn His leading hand upon the General Association of Davidian SDA in Waco, Texas, then now after the dissolution of Mount Carmel Headquarters in 1962 the Lord would have turned His hand upon the little ones. What does it mean ?
“The little ones” must inevitably mean all the associations of Davidian SDA now scattered in many places in the world. These are they who are no more to affiliate with the Mount Carmel Headquarters in Waco, Texas, USA due to the facts presented us in the message.
Thus is the servant of the Lord’s statement to be fulfilled: “The Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning.”
C o n c l u s i o n
Since the Eleventh Hour Call belongs to only those who are now standing idle in the market place, and since Bro. Houteff as the author of the message have died for a long time since, it should be clearly understood why did the Lord no more approve the re-establishment of His Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas in 1991. The Lord will no more authorize any Mount Carmel Center in this time of the end to accomplish His Eleventh Hour Call among the laymen in the Church, because neither the General Conference of SDA nor the Mount Carmel Center of the General Association of Davidian SDA could ever be saved by the Eleventh Hour Call of the message of the Shepherd’s Rod. The Eleventh Hour Call will come through the so-called “laymen activities”. And the teachers of the Rod who are to teach the message in the light of the Rod those passage which in one way or another need to be interpreted, they are themselves to come from among the “laymen activities” in the Davidian. They are the only divinely appointed agencies who are to control the purity and completeness of the message in this time of the end.
The Eleventh-Hour Call would have come directly from those standing idle in the market place to their fellow believers in the same market. And for the sake of the purity and completeness of the message to be preserved and maintained in our midst, the Eleventh-Hour Call would have come only from the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod, who are now mingled with the “little ones” of those present truth believers, who are now under the leading hand of the Lord Himself.
Since we have positively believed in the message of the Shepherd’s Rod to be the same message of the Eleventh-Hour Call, then we are unavoidably to believe also that due to its function to save only those who are now standing idle in the market place, the Lord would have no more approved the re-establishment of the Mount Carmel Center in Texas in 1991. Let alone after we have testified that no more divinely appointed teachers of the Rod could ever be allowed to teach there in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted.
