The Book of Revelation,
To whom does it belong ?
Introduction
John the revelator, as the author of the book of Revelation, in his introductory message of the book, he had ever said :
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass ; and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John : Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein : for the time is at hand.
“John to the seven churches which are in Asia : Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne.
“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood. And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” – Revelation 1 : 1 – 6.
The book of Revelation has its origin with the Lord God. From the Lord God to Jesus Christ, and from Jesus Christ unto His servants on the earth. The apostle John appeared to be the very first one of His servants to receive the Revelation from Jesus Christ, either directly or through His angel. He was, therefore, instructed to have all the Revelation documented in a book by the name, The Revelation of Jesus Christ.
The book of Revelation was written in 96 by the beloved apostle of the Lord during his banishment to the isle of Patmos. And to this end he ever said :
“I John, who also am your brother and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.“ – Revelation 1 : 9.
The servant of God, Mrs. White in her testimony further said :
“John lived to be very old. He witnessed the destruction of Jerusalem and the ruin of the stately temple. The last surviver of the disciples who had been intimately connected with the Saviour, his message had great influence in setting forth the fact that Jesus was the Messiah, the Redeemer of the world. No one could doubt his sincerity, and through his teachings many were led to turn from unbelief.
“The rulers of the Jews were filled with bitter hatred against John for his unwavering fidelity to the cause of Christ. They declared that their efforts against the Christians would avail nothing so long as John’s testimony kept ringing in the ears of the people. In order that the miracles and teachings of Jesus might be forgotten, the voice of the bold witness must be silenced.
“John was accordingly summoned to Rome to be tried for his faith. Here before the authorities the apostle’s doctrines were misstated. False witnesses accused him of teaching seditious heresies. By these accusations his enemies hoped to bring about the disciple’s death.
“John answered for himself in a clear and convincing manner, and with such simplicity and candor that his words had a powerful effect. His hearers were astonished at his wisdom and eloquence. But the more convincing his testimony, the deeper was the hatred of his opposers. The Emperor Domitian was filled with rage. He could neither dispute the reasoning of Christ’s faithful advocate, nor match the power that attended his utterance of truth; yet he determined that he would silence his voice.
“John was cast into a caldron of boiling oil ; but the Lord preserved the life of His faithful servant, even as He preserved the three Hebrews in the fiery furnace. …………………
These words had their influence, and John was removed from the caldron by the very men who had cast him in.
“Again the hand of persecution fell heavily upon the apostle. By the emperor’s decree John was banished to the Isle of Patmos, condemned for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Revelation 1 : 9. Here his enemies thought, his influence would no longer be felt, and he must finally die of hardship and distress.
“Patmos, a barren, rocky island in the Aegean Sea, had been chosen by the Roman government as a place of banishment for criminals; but to the servant of God this gloomy abode became the gate of heaven. Here, shut away from the busy scenes of life, and from the active labors of former years, he had the companionship of God and Christ and the heavenly angels, and from them he received instruction for the church for all future time. The events that would take place in the closing scenes of this earth’s history were outlined before him ; and there he wrote out the visions he received from God.” — The Acts of the Apostles, pp. 569 – 571.
John was the last and the only apostle of Jesus that lived up to the time in 96 on the barren rocky island of Patmos. All the events that would take place in the closing scenes of this earth’s history were outlined before him, and there he wrote out the visions he received from God.
“What thou see, write in a book,
and send it to the seven churches in Asia,”
thus said the Lord
The Lord Himself had instructed John that the book be sent to the seven churches in Asia. And John said :
“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day (on the Sabbath day), and heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last : and What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamus, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.” – Revelation 1 : 10 – 11.
When he was banished to the isle of Patmos, on a certain Sabbath day, he was in the Spirit of God, when he heard behind him a great voice, whose name was Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, which was none other than the Lord Jesus Himself. Unto him the Lord had said : ‘What thou seest, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia. It seemed that the same book of Revelation which was written by him that he may send it to the seven churches in Asia.
Number “7” (seven) in the prophecy signifies completeness. And since the Lord God has only one church on the earth, even during the whole period of the New Testament history, then the prophetic words of “the seven churches in Asia”, would unavoidably mean the same church of God, which had ever lived during the whole period of the new Testament history, beginning with the church of Ephesus in the first century. Concerning the church of Ephesus, the servant of the Lord Mrs. Ellen G. White has ever said :
“This church had been highly favored. It was planted by the apostle Paul. In the same city was the temple of Diana, which, in point of grandeur, was one of the marvels of the world.” (MS 11, 1906).
If the Ephesian church in the first century was ever planted by the apostle Paul, then the Laodicean church or the church of Seventh day Adventists as the seventh and the last one in this time of the end, was planted by the servant of the Lord Mrs. Ellen G. White. This is the same church of God that has ever lived since the beginning in the first century. Thus it is, that the words, “seven churches in Asia” would unavoidably signify the seventh church, which now lives in this time of the end.
The names of the churches derived from the names that were ever known in Asia. However, it does not mean that the book of Revelation belongs to God’s people in Asia only. Because from the historical fact we know that the Laodicean church was just begun in the Unites States of America. Therefore, Mrs. White ever said :
“The names of the seven churches are symbolic of the church in different periods of the Christian Era………… while the symbols used reveal the condition of the church at different periods in the history of the world.” – The Acts of the Apostles, p. 585.
The church in the prophecy of the book of Revelation represents the people of God. The same is likewise to the women in the prophecy of Isaiah 4 : 1, which also represents the Christian churches in this time of the end.
The Philadelphian church is the church established by the servant of God, Bro. William Miller, in 1831. Philadelphian church performed her identities very well as a church fully in brotherly love. Whereas, in regard to the Laodicean church : the “Laodicea” itself comes from the Greeks words, “Lao” and “Dekei”, which means “people” or “to speak” and “the judgment”. The Laodicean church, therefore, means people proclaiming judgment. And this is the Seventh day Adventist Church which was established by Mrs. EG. White in 1844 proclaiming the third angel’s message of Revelation 14 at its beginning, which is the message of the Spirit of Prophecy.
We should have understood that the Kingdom of Heaven is a law state, which is a state founded upon the rules of law, consisting of the Basic Law of the Ten Commandments and the By-laws of all the testimonies of Jesus Christ, containing all the Rules of implementation of the Basic Law. We, therefore, should never for a moment think that only by praying earnestly every night and day, we should have our sins forgiven. Because through His servant Solomon, the prophet, the kind-hearted Father in Heaven had ever since warned us in the following words :
But how did our people welcome the Book
ever since, and obey those things written therein as those presented us in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY ?
Both through the history and through the servant of the Lord, we could have known for sure that the book of Revelation was first written by the apostle John in 96. It was in the time of the first church, which is the Ephesian church. Since due to the fact, however, that the mysteries of the Book of Revelation were not as yet revealed at the time, we may be sure the benefit of the book will be especially reserved for only those of the Laodicean church of the time of the end. The Lord would have sent for us in this time of the end His servants, the prophets, as those prophesied in Amos 3 : 7. And the following statement by the angel Gabriel to Daniel will be fulfilled.
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end : many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” — Daniel 12 : 4.
That is, just in this time of the end ever since the beginning of the eighteenth century, after so many people run to and fro from one place to another, from one country to another, even after the knowledge and technology developed so marvelously, then ever since will the book of Daniel be interpreted. And then the book of Revelation as its complement followed suite. They will be interpreted and revealed through God’s own appointed servants, the prophets, as those predicted here below :
“Surely, the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the p r o p h e t s.” – Amos 3 : 7.
We have, therefore, to know the servants of the Lord one by one if we wish to welcome the book of Revelation, and all their interpretations of the book in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.
Since all the words of God mentioned by apostle John, and by the angel Gabriel and even by Daniel the prophet, could not be wrong, let us therefore read again carefully the following statement by Daniel, when he said :
“And he said, Go thy way, Daniel : for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried ; but the wicked shall do wickedly : and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” – Daniel 12 : 9 – 10.
That all the prophecies are closed up and sealed only till the time of the end. Just in the time of the end, they all would have been revealed and interpreted. All the prophecies of the Bible have now been interpreted by the prophets of the time of the end, mentioned by Amos in his prophecy of Amos 3 : 7. And we are to know them through their publications as follows, (1) Mrs. EG. White and her Spirit of Prophecy publication, and (2) Bro. Victor T. Houteff and his Shepherd’s Rod publication. And these divinely appointed servants of the Lord should have been found only in the Laodicean Church of Seventh day Adventists.
Today the end time prophets have all died. Mrs. EG. White died in 1915, and Bro. Victor T. Houteff died in 1955. In their absence, though, they still could be reached through their publications, which are now available in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. And here in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY are all the rules of implementation of the Ten Commandments as the Basic Law of God could be available. Thus it is that the Basic Law of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ will be the foundation of faith of the Church of this time of the end, as those stipulated in the Revelation 12 : 17.
However, according to those prophesied by angel Gabriel to Daniel in Daniel 12 : 9 – 10, the revelation of those prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation in the church seemed to have been neglected or thoroughly rejected. This is the reason why the Laodicean Church as a whole has now been tightly dominated by the wicked leadership of those who do not understand the prophecies. Whereas the angel Gabriel had ever before forewarned : “Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried ; but the wicked shall do wickedly : and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.”
We are, therefore, to trace back of how and why the book of Revelation and its interpretations by the servants of God be neglected in the past.
How was the book of Revelation
presented to the Laodicean Church through
her angel of the church
John the Revelator further said :
“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last : I am He that liveth, and was dead ; and, behold, I am alive for evermore. Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden sticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches : and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” – Revelation 1 : 17 – 20.
It was Jesus Christ, who had admitted Himself to John as Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, and it was Him who had instructed John to provide for us all the writings of the book of Revelation.
At the above encounter Jesus had explain to John that “the seven stars” represent the angels of the seven churches. And the “seven golden candlesticks” stand for the seven churches in Asia.
Due to the fact that the number “7” (seven) in the prophecy represents completeness, whereas the Lord has only one church during the all history of the New Testament, then the seven golden candlesticks would inevitably represent the seventh church, which is the church of Laodicea. This is just the same seven candlesticks of gold, which had ever before mentioned in the prophecy of Zechariah, in his book chapter 4, which represent the church of God in this time of the end.
The seven stars would inevitably represent the seventh star only, which represents the angel of the church of Laodicea. And that is the General Conference of Seventh day Adventist Church leadership in the USA. Who are they exactly, let us go the servant of the Lord and her explanation as follows :
“God’s ministers are symbolized by the seven stars, which He who is the first and the last has under His special care and protection. The sweet influences that are to be abundant in the church are bound up with these ministers of God, who are to represent the love of Christ. The stars of heaven are under God’s control. He fills them with light. He guides and directs their movements. If He did not, they would become fallen stars. So with His ministers. They are but instruments in His hand, and all the good they accomplish is done through His power.” – Gospel Workers, pp. 13, 14.
The church of Laodicea ever since the beginning in 1844, was actually established by a divinely appointed ministry, consisted of Mrs. EG. White as a prophet and her fellow ministers of the gospel, who were all represented by the seven stars in the hands of God. Their spiritual conditions of the time had proven them truly worthy of the seven stars in the hands of the Lord.
However, after several years have passed, even after Bro. Houteff as the last prophet of God emerged in 1929, presenting to the Church the whole prophecies of the Bible and all the parables of Jesus with all their interpretations in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, to meet the statement that all the books of the Bible meet and end in the Revelation, then ever since were the prophetic words of Revelation 3 : 14 – 20 effectively met their fulfillment. The fact is, that just the angel of Laodicea who have rejected the the book of Revelation, even up to this very day. And to this end the Lord God should have warned us in the following words :
“In my last vision I was shown that even this decided message of the True Witness had not accomplished the design of God. The people slumber on in their sins. They continue to declare themselves rich and having need of nothing. Many inquire: Why are all these reproofs given? Why do the Testimonies continually charge us with backsliding and with grievous sins? We love the truth; we are prospering; we are in no need of these testimonies of warning and reproof………..
“I have been shown that the greatest reason why the people of God are now found in this state of spiritual blindness is that they will not receive correction.” – Testimonies for the Church, vol. 3, pp. 254 – 255.
In her last vision, the last time she received from the Lord before accomplishing her mission for the church in the time of the end, Mrs. EG. White had warned, that “the seven stars’’ which were beforehand in the hands of the Lord, have now become the fallen stars, that are no more retrievable for good.
ATTENTION :
In the Revelation chapter 2 up to chapter 3 we have been informed of how the book of Revelation be presented to all the seven churches, through the angels of the churches respectively. Since due to the fact, however, that the book of Revelation itself was just interpreted and revealed in the time of the end, in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, then we should be able to carefully understand, that all kinds of spiritual condition of those churches respectively, should unavoidably be inherited to the last church of the Laodiceans. Thus it is that all kinds of sin and frailties of those churches beforehand will be a total burden to be borne by the last church, as those condemned to the angel of Laodicea and its diehard followers in this time of the end.
Presentation of the Book of Revelation to the Laodicean Church is done through the leadership of the Organization of Seventh day Adventist Church
The apostle John said :
“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then, because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing: and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” – Revelation 3 : 14– 20.
The Gold, white raiment, and the eye salve, would unavoidably represent a “new message” from Jesus to come later. And since the message of the angel of Revelation 18 : 1 is the only last message, which has just joined the third angel message by Mrs. White, to enlighten the earth, it is unavoidably the message that should be represented by the gold, white raiment, and the eye-salve. There is none other than that. And although Mrs. E. G. White herself never before had witnessed it up to the time she died in 1915, she had ever before informed us of the message in the following words :
“Then I saw another mighty angel commissioned to descent to the earth, to unite his voice with the third angel, and give power and force to his message………….. This message seemed to be an addition to the third message, joining it as the midnight cry joined the second angel’s message in 1844.” – Early Writings, p. 277.
C o n c l u d e d
“In the Revelation all the books of the Bible meet and end. Here is the complement of the book of Daniel. One is a prophecy; the other a revelation. The book that was sealed is not the Revelation, but the portion of the prophecy of Daniel relating to the last days.” — The Acts of the Apostles, p. 585.
The Book of Revelation is in fact not an independent book of itself. In it all the books of the Bible, specifically the prophetic books of the Old Testament prophets and the parables of Jesus in the New Testament books, are to meet and end. This is to mean, that all the meaning of the revelation and interpretations of all those books, are to meet and end in the book of Revelation.
Due to the fact that those interpretations of the Bible prophecies and the parables of Jesus would have just taken place in the time of the end, then as those prophesied by prophet Amos in Amos 3 : 7, we are inevitably to know well those end time prophets of the Lord and their messages, which are now kept in store in THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY publications. We have unavoidably to obey their messages for this time of the end, if we are truly the Laodiceans of this time of the end.
The failures of all Christian Churches in the world today to have all the prophecies of the Bible and the parables of Jesus interpreted and revealed in their midst, are the undeniable facts of those things condemned to all the “seven churches in Asia” through the Book of Revelation. This is to prove that no single angel of “the seven churches in Asia” has ever successfully received the Revelation of Jesus Christ through His appointed agency in the world. This is the reason why through Isaiah the prophet of old we have been ever since informed in the following words,
“And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel : only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.” – Isaiah 4 : 1.
The seven women represent “a l l / completely“ church organizations in this time of the end. They all take hold of the Man Jesus Christ only for to be called by His name ”Christian.” Whereas their bread and apparel are to be supplied by themselves.
Christian churches in the world today, do not anymore know their divinely appointed prophets of the time of the end, as those prophesied by prophet Amos (Read Amos 3 : 7). And the consequence is that they have lost sight of the so-called THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, which contains all the rules of implementation of the Basic Law of God, which are the TEN COMMANDMENTS of the decalogues. And this is to mean, that they would have lost for good all the privileges to become the citizens of the Kingdom in the near future.
And especially for the attention of the angel of the church of the Laodiceans, and to their diehard followers in the churches, we wish to remind you again to the statement by the angel Gabriel to Daniel the prophet as mentioned here below :
“And he said, Go thy way, Daniel : for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried ; but the wicked shall do wickedly : and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” – Daniel 12 : 9 – 10.
All the words which were ever closed and sealed in the past, are now having been completely opened for the investigation of all. All the books of the Bible which meet and end in the book of Revelation have now met their fulfillment in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. We have come to the time when many of us will be purified, and made white, but also to be tried. But the wicked ones in our midst shall do wickedly in their ignorance against the message of the book of Revelation, and none of the wicked shall understand, because they intentionally refused to be made understand. But the wise shall understand, and then as the wise virgins of the church, they are to come out to stand with the Lamb of God on the mount Sion in the near future. Read Revelation 14 : 1.
Identify carefully your position now in the church, that when the book of Revelation and all the books of the Bible that meet and end in it, as those provided us in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, could have been fully understood, then Happy You Are ! But when you are enraged to stand against it when it comes to your door, then let it be carefully taken in consideration, whether you are going to be wise or you will be found doing more wickedly than ever before. “KNOWING THIS FIRST THAT NO PROPHECY OF THE SCRIPTURES IS OF ANY PRIVATE INTERPRETATION. FOR THE PROPHECY CAME NOT IN OLD TIME BY THE WILL OF MAN, BUT HOLY MEN OF GOD SPAKE AS THEY WERE MOVED BY THE HOLY GHOST.” — 2 Peter 1 : 20, 21.
