The Heavenly Trio : The Father,

The Son, and The Holy Spirit 

One of the requirements that must be met by everyone of us at the first of our religious life on earth is the baptism. Christ has made baptism the sign of entrance to His spiritual kingdom. He has made this a positive condition with which all must comply who wish to be acknowledged as under the authority of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The servant of the Lord said :

“There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized………..” – Evangelism, p. 615.

Through baptism as a sign of entrance to the kingdom of God, we will get a new status : from the son of man beforehand to become the son of God, from the citizenship of the kingdom of Satan to become the citizenship of the kingdom of Heaven, from the man of sin without having in possession any clear citizenship of the kingdom of God before, to become the sure and positive member of the eternal family of the children of God. This change of status should have been fully understood, and should be of paramount important  due to the fact, that through sin of our first ancestors the whole world and all the inhabitants thereof had ever been fallen into the hands and power of the Enemy.

Thus, though the earth and all its inhabitants were ever since the beginning created by the Lord Jesus Himself, yet through sin of our first ancestors the ownership and power of this planet should have been lost, to fall into the hands of the Enemy. And though Adam and Eve had fully admitted their transgression and in deep remorse pleading for forgiveness of sin, they should have been perished eternally at the same day, if only the plan of redemption was not as yet made. And this world and all its inhabitants would have been fallen into the ownership of Satan even up to this very day.   

Sin is the transgression of the Law (1 John 3 : 4), and the wage of sin is death. (Rome 6 : 23). This is the principle of justice embraced by the whole heavenly intelligences in the universe.      

This same principle applied also on this earth ever since the beginning among the nations. Even among the people of ordinary societies, they would lift up their claims that every act of criminality to be punished as hard as possible according to the law. To punish according to the law. And no laws could be found to forgive any act of criminality.

It is, therefore, understood why our loving kind God could not forgive Adam and Eve, though they had fully admitted their sins and repented, and in deep remorse pleading with the Lord for forgiveness. Because God could not, and will not transgress His own law which stipulates that the transgression of the law is sin, and the wage of sin is death for ever and ever. It means that the sinner must be punished accordingly to the law.

That sinners may be free to live for evermore  

The wage of sin is death. It is not the temporary death, that later to be resurrected, but the eternal death. That is the reason why our Lord Jesus should have come down to the earth, to live the life of human being, that later to be killed and died and to be buried here on earth as an ordinary sinner. But since He Himself was not a sinner, then at the third day of His death, He was then resurrected.

“If the law could be changed, man might have been saved without the sacrifice of Christ, but the fact that it was necessary for Christ to give His life for the fallen race, proves that the law of God will not release the sinner from its claims upon him. It is demonstrated that the wages of sin is death. When Christ died, the destruction of Satan was made certain. But if the law was abolished at the cross, as many claim, then the agony and death of God’s dear Son were endured only to give to Satan just what he asked, then the prince of evil triumphed, his charges against the divine government were sustained. The very fact that Christ bore the penalty of man’s transgression is a mighty argument to all created intelligences, that the law is changeless : that God is righteous, merciful, and self-denying, and that infinite justice and mercy unite in the administration of His government.” — Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 70.

The death of Christ up to His resurrection that should be thoroughly  comprehended by all sinners on earth, who want to change their status from the non citizenship of God’s kingdom to later be citizenship of God’s kingdom. And this should be proven from their baptism. The servant of the Lord said :

“Jesus, prior to His death, established a memorial of the breaking of His body and the spilling of His blood for the sins of the world, in the ordinance of the Lord’s supper, saying “For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till He come.” And the repentant believer, who takes the required steps in conversion, commemorate in his baptism the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. He goes down into the water in the likeness of Christ’s death and burial, and he is raised out of the water in the likeness of His resurrection — not to take up the old life of sin, but to live a new life in Christ Jesus.” — Ellen G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 5, p. 1113.

This means when we go down into the water, we are as if to die and be buried with Jesus. All sins hereditary brought up until the moment we die will be abolished. And when we go out of the water, we are as if to be raised up from the death, to live a new life in Christ Jesus. Thus is the baptism in the sense of commemorating the sacrifice of Jesus in His effort to bear Himself the eternal death penalty of  every repentant sinner of this earth.

Baptism in the name of the Heavenly Trio

 (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit)

The servant of the Lord, Mrs. E.G. White said :

“There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit –those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized………..” – Evangelism, p. 615.

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three great powers in Heaven very well-known among the citizens of the kingdom of God on earth. Though each of Them, having His own personality, They are in fact always having the same mind, seeing eye to eye, and speaking the same things. The unity of the above identities showing us how strong is the unity that They name Themselves the Heavenly Trio, that is for ever inseparable one from the other. Especially in their combined efforts to salvage the fallen race of this world of sin.

In the effort to salvage man and woman in this time of the end, beginning from making preparations on the part of them who want to be baptized, up to the baptism itself, let them fully understand that they must first be in the name of the three great powers of Heaven. Or in other words, they must be sure that their preparations for the baptism must be in accordance with all the requirements given by the three Heavenly powers. Or else their baptism could be deemed illegitimate, or not yet valid according to the law of the kingdom. To this end Mrs. White has warned :

“Too much hasty work is done in adding names to the church roll. Serious defects are seen in the characters of some who join the church. Those who admit them say, We will first get them into the church, and then reform them. But this is a mistake. The very first work to be done is the work of reform. Pray with them, talk with them, but do not allow them to unite with God’s people in the church relationship until they give decided evidence that the Spirit of God is working on their hearts.”

“Many of those whose names are registered on the Church books are not Christians.” — Review & Herald, May 21, 1901.

Since due to the fact that the three Heavenly powers were never physically seen on earth in this time of the end, they must inevitably be known among us through their visible agents or representatives. In the limited sense we try to make you know them as follows :

The Father (God the Father)  

God the Father is not to be identified through His face, because neither the Father nor the Son were ever known by their faces among their people during this time of the end. Though Jesus was ever very popular during His mission in Palestine in the past, God the Father seemed not willing to let Jesus’ picture nor any image of Him be left behind with us after He returned to Heaven in the year 31. This should be understood, because image worship was not allowed in the Law of God.  Nevertheless, God the Father was ever since known up to now by His character and will, which is popularly known as : LOVE. And it is just the LOVE of God that has been specified in the Ten Commandments of the Decalogue, to be the basic Law or the Constitution of the kingdom of Heaven. The servant of the Lord, Sister R.G. White said,

“The Law of God is as sacred as God Himself. It is a revelation of His will, a transcript of His character, the expression of divine love and wisdom.” — Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 52.

Christ, the Son

Though ever known through His face during His mission in the Palestine, yet after He returned to His Father in Heaven in 31, He is now more well-known among His followers in this time of the end through the writings of His Testimonies : first by the testimonies (Isaiah 8 : 20), then by the testimonies of Jesus Christ, when His name was popular after He accomplished His mission on earth, and later by The Spirit of Prophecy, when all the prophecies of the Bible and the parables of Jesus have been successfully interpreted in the so-called THE SPIRIT of PROPHECY. The Apostle John ever said :  

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. ….. And the Word was made flesh, and dwell among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.” – John 1 : 1, 2, 14.

Christ had also been named the Word ever since the beginning, and as the Word continues to develop ever since, It has now developed to be THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY in this time of the end. 

Christ the Son was ever likened to the Word that ever continues to develop from time to time, and that is the reason why  the Word was deemed to be the Testimony of Jesus Christ, which is the Rules of Implementation of the Law (or the By laws) that now are to be solely found in THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.

The Holy Spirit     

“The Holy Spirit is Christ’s representative, but divested of the personality of humanity, and independent thereof. Cumbered with humanity, Christ could not be in every place personally. Therefore it was for their interest that He should go to the Father, and send the Spirit to be His successor on earth. . …………….. By the Spirit the Savior would be accessible to all. In this sense He would be nearer to them than if He had not ascended on high.” — Desire of Ages, p. 669.

The conclusion is :

(1) God the Father is represented on earth among His people by The Law of The Ten Commandments. This is the basic Law or the Constitution of His kingdom in Heaven.    

(2) Christ the Son is represented by the writings of His Testimonies which is the Testimonies of Jesus Christ, which have been developed up to this time of the end in THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. 

(3) The Holy Spirit is not to be represented by anything, because He would be present everywhere, either in all the heavens or on the earth among us. He will do everything according to the desire of the Father and the Son.

The successful Baptism

In the n a m e of the Heavenly Trio

The prophet Isaiah has ever said in the past : “To the law and to the testimony : if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” — Isaiah 8 : 20.  

This means, that to the Law and to the testimony (that is now developed in THE SPIRIT of PROPHECY), if those who wish to be baptized could have lived up to the word, then it is because there is a great light in them. That is, they are indeed under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that lead them into the all Truth and the Things to come. (Read John 16 : 13).  And since the all Truth and the Things to come as rules of implementation of the Law are to be found solely in THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, then we may be positively assured that   such is the true and successful baptism in the name of the Heavenly Trio. With such a baptism our status could be changed from a citizenship of the kingdom of

Satan to become the citizenship of the kingdom of heaven. And then in cooperation with THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY (the combination of the message of Revelation 18 : 1 with the third message of the angel of Revelation 14) they are to enlighten the whole earth, beginning in the churches of Seventh day Adventist.     

The result is that several hundred thousand of Seventh-day Adventists are to be harvested from within our midst, and then a special company of 144.000 living saints will be elected from among them. These are they who are no more to die on this earth of sin.  Because they have been truly born again in the name of the Heavenly Trio : God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.   

 Similarities of Power Sharing not only

 in Heavenly Kingdom : The Heavenly Trio,

but on the earthly kingdoms as well : TRIAS POLITICA  

The fact that the heavenly Kingdom of God is a law state, should have been understood. That for the sake of obeying the Law and order that is binding in all the Kingdom, that Christ has chosen to die to bear Himself the death penalty of mankind than to transgress anything of the Law, to save man and woman of their death penalty  of this world.

There are similarities of power sharing in the Kingdom of God as a law state, and most of the law states of the countries of this world. Those similarities could be seen as follows :

Power sharing through the Heavenly Trio :   

Power Sharing according to the principle of TRIAS POLITICA. Trias Politica is a phrase very much recognized by the politicians. Power sharing according to this principle could be seen as follows :

1. The Judicative Body has the power to codify the Basic Law or the Constitution to be the foundation of the state and the people. As an example, in United States of America:  Congress has the power to codify the Basic Law of the country.
2. The Legislative Body has the power to legislate the laws as the Rules of implementation of the Basic Law. The Legislative body is the Parliament or the House of Representatives.
3. The Executive Body, is the Government. The Government has the power to have all the messages of the people as those stipulated in the Constitution or the Basic Law be realized. 

We need to know that ever since the beginning the Heavenly Trio themselves have made known their existence to all their people on this earth, specifically on the power sharing in Heaven. Therefore let no one ever condemn us that the theory of the Heavenly Trio is merely an idea of human engineering. For those who still doubt the power of Jesus to regain His life after making so great a sacrifice on earth in

Palestine, let them understand that without the sacrifice they should have borne the death penalty themselves. Should have God  forgiven mankind on earth without Jesus’ sacrifice, then God Himself should have died long ago to bear the death penalty of Himself.

For about 33 years Christ the Son has accomplished His work of redeeming mankind of this earth in

Palestine. And all the activities in the Heavenly Kingdom were carried out by God the Father and the Holy Spirit. In the meantime the HOLY SPIRIT worked hard to confirm in the minds of all the inhabitants of the Universe, especially  of those of this world whom the Lord yearns to save that, ”For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have the everlasting life.” – John 3 : 16.

Now Christ has successfully carried out the work of redemption, and He is now back in Heaven to wait for every one of us who want to avail themselves of the everlasting life in the kingdom offered by Him, that is now in preparation for you and me.      

If ever before the plea of Adam and Eve should have been repelled, though they had submitted their plea in deeply remorse and fully repentance, just now Christ the Son is no more prevented by the law  to forgive us if we submit our plea to Him in deeply remorse and fully repentance in the name of the Heavenly Trio.  

The success of Christ redeeming effort has delayed the everlasting death penalty of Adam and Eve for a very long period of time. Adam has been prolonged his life up to 930 years. And both him and his wife will be resurrected in the resurrection of the blessed ones of Revelation 20 : 6. The apostle John said :

“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.“ — Revelation 20 : 6. And also of the same resurrection the apostle Paul said : “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God : and the dead in Christ shall rise first : Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together  with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air : and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” — 1 Thessalonica 4 : 16, 17.

C o n c l u s i o n

“In ancient times God spoke to men by the mouth of prophets and apostles. In these days He speaks to them by the testimonies of His Spirit. There was never a time when God instructed His people more earnestly than He instructs them now concerning His will, and the course that He would have them pursue.”

Evangelism, pp. 255, 256.

How strong and tight is the unity between God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit that they have to reveal themselves to be the Heavenly Trio of a single name for them all. This is also to reveal that though they are of different personalities with different power to perform they are yet inseparable one from the other. Even their representatives on earth could not be taken apart one from the other, because their relationship are of the same mind, of seeing eye to eye, and of speaking the same things. This is the reason why the servant of the Lord Mrs. Ellen G. White said :   

“There are t h r e e living persons of the heavenly t r i o; in the n a m e  of these three great powers — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized………..” – Evangelism, p. 615.

In the single n a m e of the three great powers in Heaven, who are represented here on earth by : (1) The Law of Ten Commandments, (2) THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, and (3) The HOLY SPIRIT, everyone here on earth could receive Christ as his Savior and then to be baptized to have all their sins forgiven. That is, in obedience to the TEN COMMANDMENTS according to its Rules of implementation in the SPIRIT of PROPHECY, under the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT we could have our sins abolished forever, and then with the new status in hand as citizenship of the kingdom of God here on earth, we will make necessary preparation required by the Law to stand with the Lord Jesus Christ on the mount Zion in Palestine, sometime in the very near future.
