From John the Revelator

 to the Laodiceans of the time of the end : 

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy”   

(Revelation 1 : 3)

Though we may be sure through the prophecy of Zechariah chapter 4, that both the Old and the New Testament Scriptures have been fully interpreted by Mrs. White and Bro. Houteff into the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY represented by the golden bowl (the Spirit of Prophecy by Mrs. White, and the Shepherd’s Rod by Bro. Victor T. Houteff), the servant of the Lord, Bro. Houteff still has yet to warn us of more passages of the message to be interpreted further. Let us read carefully the statement here below,    

“The Bible and the books of the Spirit of Prophecy being the sole source of the Shepherd’s Rod message, therefore, when the Rod is taught, the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy are taught. And since none but the Spirit of Truth, who transmitted the mysteries of Inspiration, can interpret them, then those who attempt to teach them without this inspired interpretational Authority, inevitably fall into the forbidden practice of private interpretation (2 Pet. 1 : 20) — the great evil which has brought Christendom into its present almost – boundless state of schism and consequent confusion, strife, and impotency. 

“As we dare not follow in such a path, we must therefore, as teachers of The Shepherd’s Rod (the official publications of the Davidian SDA Association), teach only in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted. Thus only will all Present Truth believers ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things (1 Cor. 1 : 10; 1 Pet. 3 : 8; Isa. 52 : 8).“ – Fundamental Beliefs of The Davidian SDA, p. 27.

Attention ! Though all the prophecies of the Old Testament, the book of Revelation, and the parables of Jesus of the New Testament, have all been fully interpreted by Bro. Houteff into his Shepherd’s Rod publications, he has yet in mind to assure us that there are yet many more passages in the message to be interpreted further in the light of the Rod. Interpreted by whom ? They are to be interpreted by only the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod.         

From the above statement Bro. Houteff has clearly signalized that when he died the work of interpreting those passages he mentioned above would be authorized to only the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod. And the passages would be interpreted more completely than ever before, and more into the details. And thus only will all Present Truth believers ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things. That is, then the coming 144.000 elected saints of God would appear on the stage.

Passages of the Message
that need to be interpreted further by
the teachers of the Rod

We need to know for sure that every new light or new truth will never discard the old ones. Thus it is, that the Rod message of the angel of Revelation 18 : 1 united with the message of the angels of Revelation 14 in the golden bowl of the prophecy of Zechariah chapter 4. And that is the message of the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY of Revelation 19 : 10 (margin) that is now enlightening the earth, beginning in our own Church.

That the teacher of the Rod should have taught in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted, he must then follow the rules presented on the drawing of the prophecy of Zechariah chapter 4 above. And since the teacher of the Rod is a divinely appointed minister, then according to his position on the drawing, he is tasked to teach only those passages in the golden bowl to have them interpreted for the people represented by the candlestick. Those passages in the Bible represented by the olive trees are no more allowed to be interpreted, because they have been completely interpreted into the golden bowl by both Mrs. E.G. White and Bro. Houteff, long beforehand.  

The problem now is : Are the results of the interpretations of those passages by the teachers of the Rod still absolutely needed by our people for their salvation ? The answer that could convince us is given us by the apostle John : “BLESSED IS HE THAT READETH, AND THEY THAT HEAR ……” — Revelation 1 : 3.  

The word, “Blessed … “ is mentioned only once for both “he that readeth” and for “them that hear”. That means, every one of us that readeth by himself is not enough. We are yet to hear all the explanations and the deliberations from a divinely appointed teacher of the Rod. The Lord has appointed His teacher of the Rod to edify us as the body of Christ. And those who dare to discredit the divinely appointed agency should have to pay the price. That they will never be blessed of the Lord…

Thus it is, that the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod would have been inspired by Jesus according to their own work, not to act as prophets to freely making any interpretation of the Bible, but just to fully comprehend all the teachings of the prophets, that they in turn have the capacity to teach the message successfully to our people, either through sermonizing or through writing. Thus it is that all the Jacobites of the Lord wherever they are in the world, could be informed on time to be made ready for the great and dreadful day of the Lord. So the teachers of the Rod would have to use all the facilities available, not only through “fishing and hunting” campaign, but also to have applied all the modern products of science and technology.  To this end Bro. Houteff ever said :

“Because the work is so broad, its expansion so vast, and its importance so great, God has inspired modern science to invent, and build speedy equipment to quickly finish His work.” – 2 Shepherd’s Rod, p. 229.

Today all seekers of Truth wherever they are in all the world, they could have read for themselves the message of the angel of Revelation 18 : 1, which is now united with the message of the third angel of Revelation 14 in the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. Even they could have found for themselves those passages in the “golden bowl”, which in one way or another have been interpreted further in the light of the Rod by our teacher of the Rod through the Websites.

Why are the passages
of the message need to be interpreted further
by teachers of the Shepherd’s Rod ? 

The servant of the Lord, Bro. Houteff said :

“………………, we must therefore, as teachers of The Shepherd’s Rod (the official publications of the Davidian SDA Association), teach only in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted. Thus only will all Present Truth believers ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things (1 Cor. 1 : 10; 1 Pet. 3 : 8; Isa. 52 : 8). “ – Fundamental Beliefs of The Davidian SDA, p. 27.

The above statement by Bro. Houteff signalizes that those passages of his message that are yet to meet their fulfillment in the future events after his death in 1955, let the teachers of the Rod themselves teach in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted to meet their fulfillment in the related future events. Thus only will all Present Truth believers ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things  
 
So it is now proven that after Bro. Houteff as the last prophet of God died in 1955, the power to control the completeness and purity of the message of the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY in the golden bowl of the prophecy of Zechariah 4, would have been transferred to the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod. Even after the liquidation of Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas in 1962, the completeness and the purity of the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY in the golden bowl of the prophecy of Zechariah 4 should have been transferred to only the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod. No more to be entrusted to those who are now dominating the location of the old Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, USA. This is soon to be proven from the fact, that no single passage of the message of the Rod interpreted in the light of the Rod could have ever been anticipated coming from the Mount Carmel Center even up to this very moment. You know why ? Because they have barred every teacher of the Rod neither from making any further interpretation of the message either through writings nor through sermonizing. And no more teacher of the Rod of the divinely appointed ministry could ever be found there. 

Passages of the Message that should
have been interpreted further through the media of publication and internet 

Since the main objective of the message is the purification of the Church and the gathering of the 144.000 elected saints of God, then we must first be able to know them through their identities, which are the ability to see eye to eye, to have the same mind, and the ability to speak the same things. And for achieving this goal the passages of the message of the Rod and the entire message in the golden bowl of the prophecy of Zechariah 4 must first be interpreted by the divinely appointed teachers of the Shepherd’s Rod.   

Here the Present Truth believers are to be brought to face the realities of the message. The teachers of the Rod and their painstaking effort to provide us with the interpretations of the passages of the message in the light of the Rod would have been rejected by most of those who have yet affiliated with the Mount Carmel Center in Texas, USA. These are they who are the categorized wise virgins with guile in the mouths, whereas the other class of people would heartily embrace the truth and be separated. Now you should have testified for yourselves that though the message of the Rod in the bowl has ever successfully united all present Truth believers unto the Mount Carmel Center in Waco, Texas, as the wise categorized virgins, whereas now after the death of Bro. Houteff and after the liquidation of his Mount Carmel Center in 1962, the condition would have been totally changed.

With the coming of the teachers of the Rod,  “teach only in the light of the Rod those passages which in one way or another need to be interpreted,” then began the division of the Present Truth believers in the world into two classes of people :  the wise categorized virgins (or the pure wheat) on the one side, and those wise virgins with guile in the mouths (or the chaff categorized ones) on the other side. 

Such classification is the result of the interpretation on the passages of the message done in the light of the Rod by the divinely appointed teacher of the Rod. And no wonder if such division is gravely rejected by the leadership of Mount Carmel Center in Texas, USA.

There are yet many more passages of the message in the golden bowl of the prophecy of Zechariah 4 to be interpreted in the light of the Rod. And such a work will be tasked upon only the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod. Some of the passages of the message are to be found in the following articles, such as in the writings of Mrs. White, in the sermons of Bro. Houteff, in his Timely Greetings articles, even in all the message of the Golden Bowl of Zechariah chapter 4.

In one of his sermons entitled, “FATHERS PREFERED DECEIT THEIR CHILDREN GIVEN GRACE”, Bro. Houteff ever said :

“Isaiah 30 : 26  :
“Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach of His people, and health the stroke of their wound.”

“Were this not a figure of speech, were the sun actually to become seven times hotter than it is, then the earth itself would go into flames. Obviously the sun in this instance is used figuratively to illustrate that the light of God’s Word now while He is binding the “wound” of His people, is to increase sevenfold — all the light that there is will burst upon the earth as does the sun after a cloudy day. Moreover, the moon (the church), the agency which reflects the rays of the sun into the dark places of the earth, will as a result accommodate the people, not much better than she has heretofore, but perfectly. Already we see the light of God’s Word rising higher and higher with each passing week.” —

Isaiah 30 : 27  : 
“Behold, the name of the Lord cometh from far, burning with His anger, and the burden thereof is heavy : His lips are full of indignation, and His tongue as a devouring fire.”

Look ! commands the Lord, the unveiling of these truths indicates but one thing — that we are approaching the great and dreadful day of the Lord, the day in which there shall be but one Lord, and His name one.” — 1 Timely Greetings, No. 32, pp. 21.

There are more truths to be unveiled when we are approaching the great and dreadful day of the Lord.  And since no more prophets of God are alive now, we should be sure and fully convinced that the unveiling of more truths from now on to the future would come only through the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod.

The acts of interpreting by those
teachers of the Rod could not be condemned as sin of adding to nor subtracting from the message

The act of interpreting those passages of the message in the golden bowl of Zechariah 4 is valid according to the Law of God.  It is just the law that obliges the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod to do the work of interpreting those passages of the message in the light of the Rod. It is sin indeed when they fail to do the work to interpret those passages of the Rod for us. Because failure to have those passages of the message interpreted for us, then all Present Truth believers will never become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things. And the consequence is that those candidates of the 144.000 saints of God could not appear on the stage of history.    

The same obligation of the law was ever before given by the Lord through His servant Mrs. E. G. White to Seventh Day-Adventist ministers as follows: 

“O son of man, I have set thee as watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at My mouth, and warn them from. Me.” The watchmen will need to live very near to God, to hear His word and be impressed with His Spirit, that the people may not look to them in vain.” – Testimony for the Church, vol. 4, p. 403.

“These watchmen represent the ministry, upon whose fidelity depends the salvation of souls. The stewards of the mysteries of God should stand as watchmen upon the walls of Zion; and if they see the sword coming, they should sound the note of warning. If they are sleepy sentinels, and their spiritual senses are so benumbed that they see and realize no danger, and the people perish, God will require their blood at the watchmen’s hands.” – Ibid., p. 402.

Therefore, the acts of banning the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod as stewards of the mysteries of God from having those passages of the message to be interpreted in the light of the Rod for us, are just the acts which Bro. Houteff condemned in his following words :

“Everything that can be done against God’s message of today will be done with even a greater vengeance than was manifest against Heaven’s message in the days of Christ’s first advent, for the Devil knows that if he loses now, he loses forever — that he is to have no other chance. ………..

“We must be alert, too, to realize that the blow is to come from surprisingly unsuspected foes — from professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were the priests in Christ’s day. It is, moreover, but to be expected that the Adversary will employ every agency possible to prevent the Lord from disclosing to view His now obscure 144.000 first fruit servants, who are to go gather in the second fruits (Revelation 7 : 9). The Enemy will try everything conceivable to confuse, becloud, and cover up the Truth, especially on the subject of the 144.000.” — The White House Recruiter, p. 33.

The Adversary is now employing professed friends of the gospel of the Mount Carmel Center in Texas to prevent the Lord from disclosing to view His now obscure 144.000 first fruit servants. They will try everything conceivable to confuse, becloud, and cover up the Truth, especially on the subject of the 144.000.

We have been further warned of God through His servant Mrs. EG. White in the following words :

“The Bible specially teaches us to beware of lightly bringing accusation against those whom God has called to act as His ambassadors. ……….. We are to honor those whom the Lord has honored. The judgment visited upon Miriam should be a rebuke to all who yield to jealousy, and murmur against those upon whom God lays the burden of His work.” – Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 386.

“God permits men to be placed in positions of responsibility. When they err, He has power to correct or to remove them. We should be careful not to take into our hands the work of judging that belongs to God. …….” — Gospel Workers, p. 474. 

“Teach the message as it is  —
add nothing to it, neither take anything from it ……..” 

Victor T. Houteff :

“Teach the message as it is – add nothing to it, neither take anything from it. Do not feel that it is your duty to answer everybody’ s questions or to explain the whole Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. Only a silly person attempts such a thing. The scroll is not yet unrolled that far. Do not go beyond what the Shepherd Rod has explained.…………..There was never a prophet who claimed to explain everything to his opponents even though the questions to be answered were concerning his own message…. “ – The Symbolic Code, Vol. 1, No. 4,  p. 1 (California – 1934).

Bro. Houteff’ statement above was issued just in 1934 when the availability of the message of the Shepherd’s Rod was still very limited to only publications of the Shepherd’s Rod volumes one and two, whereas the publication of the third volume was yet in preparation. That means, the scroll is not yet unrolled far enough. 

The scroll of the word of God in 1934 was not yet unrolled far enough, which means the golden bowl of the prophecy of Zechariah chapter 4 in 1934 was not as yet fully filled with the golden oil. Thus it could be justified if we should be instructed to teach the message as it is, add nothing to it, neither take anything from it. But how is it now when the scroll has been fully unrolled, and the golden bowl of Zechariah chapter 4 has been fully filled with the golden oil from the two olive trees? 

Both servants of the Lord for this time of the end, Mrs. E. G. White and Bro. Houteff, have accomplished their work to have the golden oil flowed into the golden bowl, which represents THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. They even have died several years ago. This means that the scroll has been fully unrolled. How then should we teach the message in this time ?     

Actually the statement of Bro. Houteff in 1934 which obliges us to teach only the message as it is — adding nothing to it, nor taking anything from it must yet to be observed, but due to the fact that the scroll has been fully unrolled, we must unavoidably teach all the message as those provided in the golden bowl of Zechariah chapter 4.  We are now obliged to answer all questions of the people to let them have the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY in the golden bowl of Zechariah 4 comprehended. Thus is the word of God through His servant Mrs. EG. White could be fulfilled :  

“The work for these last days is a missionary work. Present truth, from the first letter of its alphabet (A) to the last (Z), means missionary effort.” – Counsels on Health, p. 300.
 
“When Nicodemus, a great teacher in Israel, came to Jesus, the Master laid before him the conditions of divine life, teaching him the very alphabet of conversion.” – 6 Testimonies for the Church, p. 154.

Even the statement by John the Revelator :  “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy ……..” — Revelation 1 : 3 should have been fulfilled too. That is, we are to read every one of us the Bible, the Spirit of Prophecy, and the Shepherd’s Rod. And the full and positive explanations of all those we read should be found only with the divinely appointed teachers of the Shepherd’s Rod, either through personal communication or through their own media of publications. 

The divinely appointed teachers of the Rod will not only work through the so-called “fishing and hunting” campaign, but they will especially make use of the media of science and technology, because the servant of the Lord has ever said :

“Because the work is so broad, its expansion so vast, and its importance so great, God has inspired modern science to invent, and build speedy equipment to quickly finish His work.” – 2 Shepherd’s Rod, p. 229.

ATTENTION !
The servant of the Lord said :
“The Bible and the books of the Spirit of Prophecy being the sole source of the Shepherd’s Rod message, therefore when the Rod is taught, the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy are taught.” – Fundamental Beliefs of Davidian SDA, p. 26.

To meet the fulfillment of Revelation 1 : 3 let us read not only the Shepherd’s Rod publication with the idea in mind that the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy have been included in the Rod publication. Such idea is indeed a flagrant manipulation of the Word of God by those who are now leading at the Mount Carmel Center in Texas.  Keep in mind that the Bible, the Spirit of Prophecy, and the Shepherd’s Rod, are three separate components. If you take away only a few Bible verses or a few statements of the Spirit of Prophecy out of the Rod publication, the residue would no more be a message, and the Rod message will stop to exist for good.   

Blessed is he
that reads and they that hear ……

“God has a church, and she has a divinely appointed ministry.” Not only the divinely appointed prophet is inspired, but all those of the ministry are inspired of the Lord to act according to their work respectively. So Mrs. White and Bro. Houteff as divinely appointed prophets have accomplished their work to have both the Old and the New Testament Scriptures interpreted into the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.

The divinely appointed teachers of the Rod are inspired not to act as prophets, but just only as teacher or minister of the gospel, to have those passages of the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY taught and interpreted in the light of the Rod. Even the people who have been approved of the Lord to be blessed with His message of truth, they also will be inspired of the Lord to understand. And all the Church and the ministry will have been inspired of the Lord to have the same understanding of the message.  Thus it is, that we are to see eye to eye, to have the same mind, and to speak the same things. This is just to prove that the Holy Spirit is always working in our midst.

And since due to the fact that, “The Bible and the books of the Spirit of Prophecy being the sole source of the Shepherd’s Rod message, therefore when the Rod is taught, the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy are taught.” – Fundamental Beliefs of DSDA, p. 26. Let it be understood that only those who read the Bible and the books of the Spirit of Prophecy, and the message of the Shepherd’s Rod, will have themselves to be blessed of the Lord. They will be blessed by the Lord every one of them that reads.

But that is not yet enough, because there are yet more truths to be revealed from the teachers of the Rod. Though the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy and the Shepherd’s Rod message have been provided us completely up to the time when the last prophet died in 1955, the Lord still obliges us to hear more from the divinely appointed teachers of the Shepherd’s Rod. 
     
There are more truths to be revealed from their painstaking efforts, which are to teach in the light of the Rod those passages of the message which in one way or another need to be interpreted further. 

There are passages of the Rod message that is not as yet completely interpreted by Bro. Houteff during his life time, such as,

(1)  the prophecy of Zechariah 13 : 6, 7 in the Timely Greetings, vol. 1, No. 18, p. 17, 18.
(2)  the things in the Timely Greetings, vol. 1 No. 5, p. 14 such as the following passage :

       Isaiah 2 : 11 — “The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.”

Man has long been exalting himself; so much so, in fact, that there are perhaps only a few Christians in the world that are really following “the light of the Lord.” Most of them are following sparks of men, following uninspired interpretations of the Scriptures, — devising’s of men, men who scoff at the idea of Inspiration; they see no need of more Truth or of prophets, although they well know that the only Truth that has ever come has been through chosen servants of God. Even present Truth believers have not as yet fully awakened to this startling revelation, many of them are carried away with every wind of doctrine, much of which is created by impostors such as Korah, Dathan and Abiram (Number 16 : 9 – 11) coveting Moses ‘office — usurpers of Inspiration’s Throne — taking sides, one for Paul and another for Apollos, as it were ! Inspiration’s eye focusing to this day and message, reveals that much of this self deception is the result of what the Spirit describes, a double face hypocrisy, saying : “Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord. And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as My people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them : for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument : for they hear thy words, but they do them not. And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet has been among them.” Ezekiel 33 : 30 – 33. We need to be doers of the Word not merely hearers.“
 
(3) The things that are yet to be interpreted from within the Timely Greetings, vol. 1 No. 43 entitled, “The Year of His Redeemed, and the sign of the day of vengeance.”

(4) A passage from the Spirit of Prophecy, such as the following statements :
      “Let me tell you that the Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning. There will be those among us who will always want to control the work of God, to dictate even what movements shall be made when the work goes forward under the direction of the angel who joins the third angel in the message (of THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY) to be given to the world. God will use ways and means by which it will be seen that He is taking the reins in His own hands. The workers will be surprised by the simple means that He will use to bring about and perfect His work of righteousness.” – Testimonies to Ministers, p. 300. (In the brackets is added)

(5) And still many others to be taught in the light of the Rod which in one way or another need to be interpreted further by the teacher of the Shepherd’s Rod.

C o n c l u s i o n   

Though we have now the Bible, the Spirit of Prophecy, and the Shepherd’s Rod message in hands, the blessings assured us by the Lord through John the Revelator in Revelation 1 : 3 could not as yet be ours as long as we are yet lacking the more truths presented to us by the divinely appointed teachers of the Rod. Let alone if we are yet to belittle them and their teachings of the message as a mere personal and uninspired private interpretation.

It could now be clearly seen, that though the whole Bible has been completely interpreted unto the golden bowl of Zechariah 4, that represents the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY (the Spirit of Prophecy + the Shepherd’s Rod message), the golden oil could not by itself flow out of the bowl into the candlestick. Here is the role of the teachers of the Rod needed to be the unavoidably factor of decision. 

And due to the fact that teachers of the Rod are not the mere employees of printers nor copiers, whose job is to present the message as pure as possible to the people, no wonder if they should have taught the message in the light of the Rod those passages, which in one way or another need to be interpreted further. And to this end the servant of the Lord said :  Thus only will all Present Truth believers ever become of the same mind, seeing eye to eye and speaking the same things. That is, just then the candidates of the 144.000 elected saints of the Lord would have emerged to the surface.
